Five Nights At Freddy's

And if the bite literally not only hurt the reputation but also the funds, no doubt the business really had to cut on things like say the game area. Still, the prequel fan theory seems rather confusing.

Also, as I found out by the end of the game, the you win screen shows a check dated 1987 and a newspaper saying the place is temporarily shutting down and fixing the old robots, throwing away the newer models and going cheaper.

The prequel fan theory from what I skimmed across was that in your final 'paycheck' of 100 or so dollars, the expiry date for the check was 1987. Fans though "must be a prequel then" (Never models, and renovations be damned!) when in reality it's just an expired check. (They seem to be the type to fuck you over 100$)

God damn, at first I was confused about all this shit going on, like phone guy being alive and the toned down creepiness. I thought it was gonna be a mediocre sequel that completely forgot the hidden story that made the original so disturbing. But then on the last two nights phone guy mentions the resturaunt being on lockdown because of an incedent relating to the animatronics and apparently a former employee. And then it made me realize that this game takes place during the bite if 87. Think about it, it's mentioned in the game that the animatronics are allowed to walk around during the day, and in the first game it's mentioned that they could only do this before the bite. And it's clear that they don't actually find the wandering animatronics much of a threat due to them just giving you a cheap mask to protect yourself. Now if the mascots had violent tendencies before, they would probably be a bit more cautious in dealing with the problem, like oh say giving you reinforced doors now that you'd have enough power to use them. And even the way phone guy acts, he seems so much more lax and genuinely happy in this game compared to how nervous and awkward he acts in the first one. But then later in the game after the incedent happenening on the later nights he starts acting more worried and timid like he did in the first game.

oh my GOD how do you not get killed by old Bonnie?! He's the only one I've been dying to, aside from Foxy.

Also...

What the fuck with the "minigames" after dying. Freddy giving cake to the kids while someone kills a kid outside? The puppet "giving life" to the dead kids by putting the animatronic heads on them??? Is the puppet golden Freddy outside of the suit? Or is he the guy who killed the children, somehow? Or OR does he somehow govern the other bots? It's kind of interesting how these lil games show you how Freddy and co. might be the victims...of either the puppet, the child killer, or both.

No one has even considered the idea that The Bite Of 87 along with both the first and second games could potentially take place during the same year?

It's an interesting idea, but I don't know. I'd find it kinda weird that something would be called "The Bite of 87" during the year that it happened. That's just me though.

I have to admit, I was kinda confused that the phone guy kinda glossed over the fact the animatronics stuff you into a suit at the beginning. Especially compared to the first game where he went into great detail about what happens when you get stuffed into one. Although if this was a prequel, which I assume it is, it would make sense as I'd imagine the threat wasn't taken as seriously back then.

Phoneguy could be lying. This is a horror game after all, it's all too likely that there are intentionally conflicting elements just to fuck with us.

So I gotta ask as I only read the wiki on the game with no intent on playing it (I have a weak heart for jumpscares, as much as the lore in the game intrigues me) do the old animatronics come and try to do you in too?

Well you are a plant in a DARPA-funded experiment.

This is my headcanon and if ANY OF YOU EXCEPTIONAL INDIVIDUALS DISAGREE I WILL...

Nod and disagree. Honestly, the prequel theory holds more water for me at this point and I would like more info on the game to be out before I try and decipher its 'true' meaning.

Not a theory anymore.

Someone linked me to aa 4 chan thread that had a picture of an unknown shadow that chills in the corner. I watch a livestream on Twitch and turns out the guy found it!

It appears and then fades out.

Sweet dreams!

Phone guy doesn't seem to find most of the characters to be a threat in this game (minus him mentioning that he's creeped out by the puppet). My guess is that he's heard about the animatronics trying it before but he doesn't actually see it as a real threat.

And I don't think the bite and the first game happened during the same year. I mean in the second one which takes place in 1987, the resturaunt is totally pimped out with awesome rides and machines but in the first one which takes place after the bite, the restaurant is basically just an old decrepit diner with a few poorly maintained animatronics. That's a pretty big decline over the course of a few months.

For the most part the whole prequel thing seems to check out, though there's two things that don't exactly disprove it but seem a bit strange.
1) It seems like the murders hadn't happened yet so... why tie the 'bots into the police database? That seems like a bit of an extreme unless it was like "hey these guys can spot a predator, we swear this place is safe, give us another chance!" and more minor is the Phone guy's mentions of Foxy, not just by name but apparently was always his favourite yet he didn't seem to even know it's name in fnaf1.

I'm just a nitpicker I guess.

Speaking of nitpicks, any reason why the vents in your office don't have grating or covers? I'd imagine that would make things easier. Unless the animatronics can smash them down.

*shrugs*

Shitty picture, I know, but saw this on the shirtpunch store with 30 mins left and couldn't help but grab one.
