I believe him. I guess the plan was to stir up engagement so he could get into some internet drama news cycle and draw attention to his political rant embedded 2/3rds of the way into the video he made. And it kind of worked but no one cared enough. I think he has some ai reply robots, I could be wrong, but even interested accounts were just weirded out by their interaction. It's kind of one sided when it's guys calling you gay vs guys who say you're awesome sauce 24/7. There wasn't really a transgression big enough to pull in people to his side so it stayed with his reply guys.

Someone in the thread also mentioned this but he did earnestly lose right wing followers at some point because he engagement farmed for a week about trans rights, I do remember that. Doing the whole "what's wrong with it. explain it to me your problem with trans" schtick. At that point you saw actual frog profile pics calling him gay and leaving. No idea what you would call what's left of his audience after that. Captive dreamer and eigenrobot also probably appeal to that weird niche. The really rude rw posters don't like them but they're popular with hipsters who have embraced their racism maybe?

It doesn't matter. None of this shit matters. I'm sorry.

I originally assumed his gf was real and she was transgender. Not really out of malice or anything but he was weirdly unable to budge on the "make fun of transgender" shit, he wouldn't make fun of gay people either. Which you know, for normal people, I assume they're being polite! But when you're otherwise pretty rude and blunt about this stuff it just glows. Rainbow glow.

Probably trying to muddy the waters. Makes me think the opposite is true. I'm going to push forward that this is his dad and he's probably in the CIA or FBI or whatever, and that's how he made such a good video on John Wayne Gacy. Because his dad knew him and told him about it and that's how he got a gig playing at planet ping pong.

Regardless of the shady stuff alleged against the place it seems to be a regular small concert venue for touring bands. You don't have to stab a child to get a show there. I've seen bands I like post tour schedules where they have a show scheduled there.

Now that we've seen the degree to which he tried to engineer this spectacle, I wonder if he had that on his calendar: post about trans rights for X days as a "work"/to modify audience demographics.

Not that that makes his behavior any better, just that he's demonstrated that he's got an Audience Engagement red string wall somewhere.

Call it optimism, but I think off-the-cuff describing trans as "annoying" speaks to personal sentiment, while using trans rights as a stalking horse for Twitter Debate is a more calculated, "I'm in the mood to argue with people online" thing.

I hope Flesh internalized the lesson that he doesn't have the chops to be a master manipulator and goes back to being a mad scientist/lone nut.

We're talking about a drug addict who's fried his brain to mush. He doesn't have a long term plan.

All this gay twitter drama arose because he lacks self control and is incredibly vain. He acts in the moment and his massive ego tells him its the right move.

Literally no one does this. I've encountered dozens of these people, practicing what I call "midwit machiavellianism." They never learn, they're always convinced that some random fluke prevented their galaxy-brained masterplan from seeing fruition and if it weren't for that, everyone would see their brilliance.

He won’t, anyone stupid enough to think that you can manipulate the internet like that is stupid enough to try again when they fail. Personally I think flesh is on the road to cowdom if he can’t already be considered a lolcow after this fiasco. It’s unfortunate because he’s making a fool out of himself by doing the right thing going to bat against Hassan orbiting troons.

He did write up that "plan," it was just completely unsuccessful.

I agree that his reaction to this is going to show the direction he'll go. He had delusions of being more of a big deal, a Dune-style big brain contingency plotter who could bring down an empire with subtle gestures and influences.

Very few people are that. He had a perfectly fine niche as a vocal fry Cassandra with sources cited; if he were able to realize this and use his strengths without overreaching, he'd be able to do more than making a power play that shoots the moon and misses.

Except for a couple threads, we do it because it adds to the entertainment value of the 'cow. (Exceptions are like the guys who figured out years after the rest of us that Gura lives in Sweden. Thrilling!)
