Nha more like 8 to 10 tops, He's weirdly competant in some ways weirdly incompetent in others, but his day to day functioning is that of a 8 to 10 year old and he quickly gets out of his depth.
Makes you wonder how he can drive at all. Let alone keep a car on the road. I cant imagine him changing oil or brakes, i doubt he can even keep track of the service interval to have someone else do it.

He runs his cars into the ground he never does any kind of maintenance on them, and in more civilised places he wouldn't be allowed to drive at all he only gets a pass there because he lives in a area with 0 public transport and having a car is necessary for day to day life - he's been in lots of minor accidents / bumps that's one thing that has shocked me and that's how he's not been involved in a more serious RTA but he's a low speed driver so that reduces the risk to him some what.

I would say 13 or 14ish due to Chris having 8th grader syndrome and thinking he's a goddess. At this rate, Chris will be mentally an adult by the age of 74!

How often did she say the N word, and in any weird contexts?

She kinda whispered it to my grandpa once during conversation while I was nearby, so I wouldn't have to hear it I think. She always just said "coloreds", "hispanics", and "orientals" with a sort of noticeable twinge of disdain.

Pretty sure she hated Asians the worst...Pearl Harbor, and all...

I remember Food Lion. My extremely racist grandmother used to say, "That's where all of the colored people shop".
I'm pretty sure my grandfolks were racists. Race just never came up much in my family.

Chris just thinks racism can be erased with the flip of a vinyl record. "I've seen the light! I mean dark. I'm not racist anymore. We good y'all. We good."

I like Remember the Titans and the Color of Friendship, too, but I don't think it's that simple.

If Chris was remotely being sincere.

Indeed, his first Son-Chu went over a year without the due oil change and he broke the engine of another one very probably because of lack of maintenance too. Not to mention the times he tried to run over someone or when he had a car accident because he was doing math in his head.

Where did you fuckers get the name Meryl from?

That's the coloration of a dog.

OIG4 (18).jpeg

This is the dog I don't have. Not no tricolor or sable. An honest-to-God Blue Merle.

But srs, where you guys get that name from?

The thought of Chris using public transport seems funny to me he would be constantly getting lost or trying to not pay being thrown out for coursing trouble, and the image of him waiting for a bus on a dark wet night is comical.

OT, but my spergy take on elder generations racism is that they were “not racist” in the actively wanting harm or death on different skin coloreds sense.

They were merely mistrustful and suspicious of different coloreds due to cultural differences and unfamiliarity.
When other things like it appeared that other coloreds were getting preferential access to jobs or housing, had a different religions, various other differences, this just confirmed suspicions and increased mistrust or hostility.

What is frustrating today is the belief that any form of racist belief automatically equals Nazi and genocidal violence.

People need to get a grip and a sense of perspective.

To keep it on topic, Chris probably just parroted beliefs he had heard from Bob or Barb.
He is from a pretty white area and when most of the blacks he encountered were unpleasant to him from his self centered perspective, it would reinforce this belief.

Of course he did, because Chris is very rarely capable of original thought.

Yeah there's something called micro aggressions or something. Where your accidentally racist or perceived to be racist.

But we're talking about Chris's generation and there are people who did grow up in places where there wasn't a heavy concentration of different races.

Once Chris saw that it was his ticket into acceptance (and sex) only then did he change his mind.
