Formula 1 Discussion - And favourite driver?

So, BBC reporting Stroll actually had a tard rage and that is how he was injured. While its just the one source and, as expected AM would cover that shit up, I certainly don't discount that he did flip his shit given it is highly apparent that he SUCKS! Can't hide results and performance, he is not F1 tier driver any more, if he ever was one. Please Mr. Stroll, buy a NASCAR team and let Lance shit up that sport.

I hope we see more come out, but wouldn't be surprised if it gets buried. I am pretty sure his dad pays all F1 media pundits and journalists to keep their mouth shut about how horrible and a disgrace to F1 his son is. As I said many times before, I am embarrassed and disgusted that Richie Rich is Canadian. He really does need to go. I don't wish any real bad ill on a driver, but I wouldn't be upset if Lance had a career ending injury. Given his father owns the team, I just can't see him ever being removed or sacked etc so sadly, he will probably still be a driver when I go deaf, dumb and blind due to age.

Stroll misses Spanish GP with injury after losing temper

Lance Stroll qualified in 14th place for the Spanish Grand Prix

Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll missed the Spanish Grand Prix with injury, in the aftermath of losing his temper in the team's garage.

The Canadian is said by sources to have damaged equipment in the garage and sworn at team members after being eliminated at the end of the second qualifying session, in which he was 0.535 seconds slower than team-mate Fernando Alonso.

Asked to confirm Stroll had lost his temper in this way, an Aston Martin spokesperson said: "Lance was upset."

The spokesperson said the injury and the episode in the garage were unrelated.

An Aston Martin source later denied anything was broken or that Stroll swore at colleagues.

Aston Martin said Stroll would miss the Spanish Grand Prix because he "had been experiencing pain in his hand and wrist".

The team said Stroll's medical consultant believed the discomfort was related to an operation he had in early 2023, when he broke both wrists in a cycling accident.

Stroll is to have an operation in an attempt to rectify the problem.

The situation puts his participation in his home race in Montreal on 13-15 June in doubt.

If Stroll were to miss the race, it is not clear who would replace him, as reserve drivers Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne are both racing at Le Mans on the same weekend.

Stroll was investigated by governing body the FIA after he failed to go to the driver weighing scales immediately after qualifying, as is required by the regulations.

The race stewards gave him an official warning for the omission.

The stewards' verdict said: "We reviewed the video footage from the garage which showed the driver of Car 18 [Stroll] exiting the car and leaving the garage from the back and not proceeding through the pit lane as required."

The stewards wrote that Stroll had sent them a letter explaining that "the reason for failing to immediately attend the weighing was because he was in pain and sought urgent medical attention for the pain.

"He attended the weigh-in and the media pen as soon as he was able to, before heading to the medical centre for further evaluation."

This is not the first time Stroll has lost his temper as a result of a bad qualifying session.

In Qatar in 2023, he stormed out of the back of the garage and was involved in an altercation with his trainer as he left. He later apologised for the incident.

Doesn't surprise me he has a massive ego.

Felipe massa in a Brazilian podcast reminisced how he trained stroll, taught him race craft, car setup, driving tips, coached him during their time at Williams, and how stroll was always listening and humble to him but then complained that stroll said publicly he never needed guidance or training from Massa and he never asked for it.

I feel like his father wanted to give him the opportunity he never had and eventually built a entire castle for his kid for him to just pout and kick it down.
Even Latifi tried harder than this arrogant and ungrateful cunt who gets everyone to help him and he'd actually gets results when he actually tries but it's too lazy and arrogant to do it.

Latifi realized he didn't have the skill to be in motoracing and gracefully retired and is now on his way to become a normie billionaire after his dad dies, but he isn't ungrateful for the experience.

What really pisses me off about Stroll and what i think its why people hate him is exactly how lazy and ungrateful he is.
He could be a top midfielder driver if he actually tried, remember this fucker got a podium in a williams.

So with all the Max news, everyone is ignoring that Tsunoda has been falling apart. Who's Helmut "the grim reaper" Marko drivers confidence going to kill next?
It's the car, lolson is finally back to being consistent, last race he pushed hard as possible and probably because of the verstappen situation will avoid any penalties for forcing drivers off the road like a madman.
You put hadjar in there and the same shit would happen.

The second seat is a career ending move for RBR right now and if it was optional to run a second car, I'm sure horner would make it a verstappen only team by now.
I refuse to accept that a dude who was nearly as fast as verstappen in that racing bulls during the initial races of the season is now suddenly retarded and worse than Stroll.
It would be hilarious if Perez joins Cadillac in 26 and starts being a consistent midfielder, it would really kneecap the "it's the driver not the car cope" forever.

If that truly is Lance's last race, what a window licking way to go out.

2026 calendar announced.

Canada going early in the year to pair with Miami, might be quite nippy. Spa is still there. The window licking retard version of Spain is on there. No Imola as expected.

Canada's going head-to-head with the Indy 500 and will get screwed in the ratings. Something tells me that this might be a cynical ploy to get it booted and replaced with another street track in an oil country.

Yeah, I heard this talk a week ago about moving Canada, and now it is confirmed.

And yes, going up against the 500 is not only bad for ratings, but given how close they were on the calendar, one or two years I could have "done the double" and gone to Indy and then returned to Montreal to see the GP. I didn't do it, but it was viable by taking a 3 week vacation. I am sure many Canadians did just that in years past, went to Indy and then went to Montreal. But no more.

And yes, temps will be chilly. I distinctly remember it has snowed here in Halifax before in May so, unless its a fluke, expect temps to be 15C or less, would be a great day if it got to 20C or above.

I just had a look at the first website that came up for historical weather data and May 24 of this year, Montreal temps were, in F:

High Temp 52 69
Low Temp 45 46.8

The second set of numbers is the average. So, 52 is a shade over 10C! LOL

I do hope though you are wrong about them wanting to replace Canada. I'd like to go to one more GP before I check out. I think its highly regarded so hopefully its history keeps it on the calendar. But then Spa....

More like "another U.S. circuit with a contract until 2050." I've said it before, but the spiteful streak in me wants them to turn Laguna Seca into a Grade 1 circuit. Give it the full Hockenheimring treatment.

I presume you're not a Burger, otherwise you'd know what a legal shit show has been going on with LS the past few years, typical California bs. The future of the entire circuit is up in legal air for the forseeable future.
Regardless, as expected the new calendar is trash. No more Imola, the addition of an obvious garbage track in a European country that already hosts an F1 round, at what is now considered an "oldschool" track. No races in frogland or Germany. For Shame...

Regarding the overlapping schedule with the Indy 500 and Leaf GP, I dont see anything good coming of this for F1 and its just creating a preposterous ratings and attendance war between the series. Indy ratings are trending up, F1's have trended down and now flat at half what they were a decade ago. Reading a few comments section it appears it's quite common for more than a few leafbros to attend both races, but now they have to choose. Maybe Zak and Liberty Media think they are running a coup by taking advantage of a weak ( relative to the the US ) economy and much weaker Canadian dollar by forcing Leaf's to choose the F1 option, but these sort of actions end up being remembered harshly by your hardcore fanbase, the people that pay the bills regardless of your popularity level of the moment.

Do leafs even recognize Stroll as their home driver and give him the corresponding warm treatment home drivers tend to get?
I think those who have mental issues, are retarded, fanboys/girls, stupidly patriotic and DTS followers probably do. But I would sincerely hope hardcore F1/racing fans like myself feel he and his father are a disgrace to Canadians as even at a glance, it looks like a rich old bastard bought an F1 team and is paying big bucks to people like Newey all in the sole effort to buy his son a World Driver's Championship.

Anyone who even has slightly more than a passing interest in F1 and watches more than a handful of races every season should be able to clearly see that he is not a top tier driver anymore, if he ever was. If they don't, then they are emulating Lance who I fondly refer to as Mr. Magoo. They have to be willfully or insanely blind not to see he doesn't belong in F1.

When he first came in at Williams I was hopeful we might have our next GP winner from Canada before the start of the 2020s. He looked ok early years but so did lots of newcomers/rookies who then shit the bed and got yeeted out of F1 before their 3rd or 4th year. The race in Brazil last year where he went out on the formation lap is a perfect example of just how bad he is. That is inexcusable (I know Scott McL did that in Indy, but he has solid results to show that was not typical of his abilities) along with all his other Q1 knockouts, bad results, incidents etc. He had a few shining moments, but so do most drivers. But as other drivers might have mediocre results when they aren't fluking out or shining, Lance is just the worst of the worst race after race.

tl;dr-Lance Stroll will forever be known as the Chris Chan of F1 to this Canadian.

The Race had a leaf F1 journo in their latest podcast, and he said that Stroll is a talented driver and he doesn't deserve the hate be gets. And that the Strolls are well liked in Canada.
The website he is working for did a driver "pound for pound" ranking were 8 journalists voted, Stroll came 17th. The journo argued that this is too low and that he's around the 13 mark.
He admits that it's probably his national bias, so it has absolutely no ground lol

Daddy Stroll probably pays him, and other journoscum, to talk up Lance or at least not say anything negative about him. Prove me wrong.

Look how much shit talk is done about others over the years, like Latifi, Sargeant, Hartley, even lately Lawson. But you don't really see much on the usual websites shittalking Lance. only the comments on articles about AM's problems do you see people point out Lance is the biggest one they have.

Money talks, and Daddy Stroll isn't afraid to throw it around it seems. I can still see Lance driving in F1 a decade from now. Sadly. Only if somehow Stroll sells AM will Lance disappear, the evidence seems very clear that he will have the seat as long as dad owns the team.

Since we are having a triple whammy race weekend (Indy 500, 24 Hours of Le Mans and F1 in Canada) just a small heads up: Cadillac took the front row in the Hypercar group while Ferrari (last years winner) ended in P7, P11 and P13. Mick Schumacher's team ended on P9. Kinda strange how Ferrari who have been so strong in WEC is fumbling this race.
