If Verstappen does do that, his ideal strategy would be to wrap up F1 or get some sort of a special permission to skip Monaco for Indy, like what happened with Alonso. Ideally, F1 should allow drivers to skip 1 race a year for a triple-crown race. That way, F1 ends up giving drivers who normally don't race in F1 a chance and it helps the whole racing world that these big names can come to their series for their special appearance.
 
Anyone thinking that Max would skip a grand prix to do a race in a different series is either delusional or completely ignorant to how Max actually operates. It's not a question of permission.

And though people up to and including him make noises about how current results impact his legacy, it doesn't fucking matter. He's a seven-timer from the UK, he's got the F1 base there forever and ever.

You'll have guys who ten minutes before were going 'ook ook' at the opposing African du jour at the footy going "Looisss is tha bes' eva' bruv, Yew raciss? 'E'S BEST'A'BRI'SH IN'NT'

I could see Max doing this in a few years time, and I could also see Max doing WEC just for kicks once he retires from F1.

So, Singapore seems interesting even though the practice sessions don't really paint the whole picture. Still Verstappen is up there. Also, Aston Martin showing a bit speed?

Yes Mr multimillionaire daddy who funded most of your career, if only your parent had been racing drivers then you could be right up there figting the likes of Mick Schumacher and Nelson Piquet Jr.

Interesting he is starting to worry about Max though, if you're 2nd and worrying more about 3rd than 1st you've already capitulated.

Max is obviously superior driver though ofcourse

Lawson doing his best to shadow his good result from Baku by crashing the second time this race day. And Hamilton is under iunvesatigation for not following track instruction when he slowed down after Lawson's crash but immediately putting his foot down again. So a possible grid penalty might be coming his way. Leclerc was lucky he only got a fine for hitting Norris in the pit lane (wasn't even his fault his team gave him the "Ok" to leave the pit)
