I love that Kevin Estre is just as batshit in a hypercar as he was in GT3. He's a joy to watch every race.
Seriously impressive charge from the back of the field to the front in under 2 hours, looks like this will be a Ferrari vs Porsche show with Cadillac as best of the rest though I wouldn't completely rule out Toyota, the #8 has been steadily creeping up and the #7 will start flying once Kobayashi gets in. BoP bullshit aside, Toyota really needs to invest in better drivers at this point, they can't keep relying on Kobayashi for everything and they're carrying some serious dead weight in Brendon Hartley and Nyck Debris, the latter getting outqualified by an Aston Martin was just pathetic.

Kinda crazy that all 3 Ferrari are now in the top 5

Edit: oh great Albon's Williams disintegrated on the straight and we have a Red Flag

GIGAKUBICA

I wonder what it feels like to feel what he is feeling right now. It's gotta be one of the most extraordinary feelings imaginable. This is why I am a fan of motorsport and sport in general. This is the beauty of it all.

Also what a solid weekend for motorsport. Even if the f1 race sucks(thinking it won't today) right after nascar is running in Mexico at brothers Rodriguez should be intresting. Cota was tight when nascar ran there. Solid 48 hours of vrooms.

If max gets away clean I think Canada his his. Hopefully Oscar and George get into it and max makes up some ground today. Also wouldn't mind oscar winning. George surprised me with his pace yesterday. A tenth over p2 is crazy this year escpially in the merc.

either way what a beautiful day for motorsport

Gigakubica drove Ferrari on its final stints to win in Le Mans. You can tell Giovinazzi was seething at p3, he wanted that win badly. Porsche also makig it to p2 from p20. What a day to be alive
Giovinazzi probably wants to strangle his teammate who binned the car at the pit entry while leading comfortably

Agreed! Sad I am not in Montreal (just a little) but with new rules next year some of us might make the trek.

Didn't get to watch much of LeMans with the war shit happening, but good for Kubica! That's a great accomplishment given what happened to him. His only F1 win came in Montreal in 2008, after that horror crash at same track in 2007. So, F1 and LeMans winner. Not many can say that, in recent times at least. Anyone know, without looking, how many drivers have won an F1 race and won LeMans? I know Fred has. JPM I think won LeMans in a lower category. Graham Hill of course. But after that I'd have to develop a headache trying to rack my brains to answer that one.

As for the race, Lando def needs to get top 3 if Oscar wins or his lead balloons again. I assume although McL didn't look so hot in Qualifying, they will rise to the top again. Could be a good one, Canada can be hit and miss for excitement. Looks like 0 chance of rain, 24C for race.

Got Dad Day deal shortly so prob gonna watch the replay tonight. But yes, enjoy the racing action everyone!
