To not complain about people being interested in some drama on a drama site? If Jersh had featured something actually noteworthy like the Harris Freedomtown instead of some meme dance then people would have come then because the Farms is fundamentally about archiving and laughing at stupid stuff, even in hobbies.
 
I found out recently you can talk to the snoop dogg boss npc for some reason. Haven't been able todo that with the other ones but then again the other ones I've encountered I've had to fight and then run the fuck away from the spot because campers trying to pot shot me at the start of every fucking game lmao.
Also for anyone that gives a shit there's actually hidden lore audio logs around the map. This IS tied to the game's lore and not just a wacky map return thing off to the side. They probably won't doit but I kinda hope this return of the chapter 2 map stays around a little longer. Forgot to bring this up earlier but saw somewhere in a youtube comment section of one of the trailers that the reason the grotto is still destroyed is it's going to be replaced with the eminem spaghetti restaurant. Makes sense why he has the minigun that shoots his rap lyrics.

I think I brought this up already but it's funny to me how eminem has kind of become the opposite of what he was when he started out but is aware enough that people liked him better when he had a sense of humor and wasn't doing shit like weird stilted orange man bad slam poetry in a parking lot so the brand deals in fortnite are almost entirely his rap boy/slim shady era shit. Snoop's still generally snoop no matter what time period he's from save for the time he was a lion for a bit. Gotta give him an A for consistency there.

Harris Freedomtown was also covered in A&N which is why it didn't get brought up in here aside from a brief comment. There's no guns or actual good gameplay in it so yeah Nobody's going to be saying shit about it other than "this game mode sucks fuck politicians" and move on.

You are onto something but only if you refer to modern video games but most of us grew up with classics and turn out just fine (mostly, we are kiwifarmers afterall, which is still somehow the less insane corner of the internet).

I'd say that pre-early PS4, video games were just fun experiences that had a clear cut beginning, middle and end that tended to have passion and care put into it. However, we have reached the phase where the hobby is far far more predatory, especially towards younger minds.

Why you think they keep adding stupid familiar popular characters in Fortnite? Because they know the kids know them even if its just through cultural osmosis, hell, they added Leatherface in it even tho Im very fucking sure kids shouldnt be watching these movies (I know that we all did it but we also all know none of us would officially recommend others doing so, it was part of being a weirdo back then). Its something openly embraced and even motivated now. Im seriously expecting to see Art The Clown in there soon, simply because "he is popular", independently if he is from a highly violent R rated movie series that kids certaintly shouldnt be officially watching openly. It all just feels so sanitized, safe and disgustingly corporate.

I guess where Im going is that it all became shamelessly predatory, attracting these impressionable minds with pretty colours that honest to God dont really mean much, Fortnite is still mostly just shooting and building nonsense at its core, not even charming shooting and building.

Look at Minecraft and TF2, sure, they have skins that sometimes reference existing properties but the way they are handled is far more dignified and far less put on the upfront of the experience, they are mostly just silly skins that mostly look silly and cool but ultimately dont mean anything, you are still there for the engaging gameplay and the world and characters.

Gaming isnt the same that it used to be, I can tell you that much.

Still very much a thing. Many public figures with ties to the rap scene like Nicki Minaj have ties to either gang. Either through family or people they grew up with. Rappers still get killed fairly regularly over bs beefs associated with this shit. Just mostly small time rappers, but still a lot of the more recent publicized cases have ties to gang shit.

It’s kinda insane how many of these people can just go around without a chance of getting cancelled despite them being associated with gangbangers/glorifying/ saying positive stuff about gang X. Can take a star out of the hood but not the hood out of a star I guess.

My classmates in middle school were doing the criplwalk often, and this was in the late 90s
