Managed to complete the first Build-Off mission, thanks to another player who was able to build the actual schematics for the most part. Got a few more missions done, loving playing as a Ninja so far... got another Build-Off mission coming up soon, hopefully I don't get stonewalled there as well, but who knows? Doesn't look like there's going to be any others after that, at least; I find myself doing fairly well when I'm not having to follow a hyper-specific blueprint, and even the Storm Shield defense missions are doable.

Honestly, aside from these two missions, everything else looks like fairly smooth sailing; most players I've worked with on here actually play the damn game, though I have encountered a few AFK pricks. To be completely fair, I'm mainly leveling up and going through STW as an opportunity to grab some of the limited-time Survivors/Heroes from events, as well as some of the STW-exclusive gear like music and pickaxes. Not sure just how far I'll end up going - only thing I know about them is that the Director and a few other named survivors are involved - so... yeah.

Learn all the edits you can make by just switching to each piece and editing it into every permutation possible. None of them are very complicated except stairs, which are slightly obtuse compared to the rest, but still easy enough to follow a blueprint of.

Knowing how to make slopes is essential, but past that, you can cheese all these blueprint building exercises by enabling Simple Edit in the options. It'll automatically pick the right piece and material for the blueprint and build it for you. It fucks up your controls for building anything else, so you'll want to turn it off afterwards (you can toggle it mid-mission), but it's worth toggling on for Build the Radar Grid missions, where it will easily save you several minutes.

The event quests are weird early on when you don't already know the characters. If you beat the story and you're still playing in a year, you'll probably enjoy the events more the second time around.

For any quest to find items that doesn't stipulate "in successful missions", you will save immense time by just getting the items and quitting the mission. You can breeze through lots of quests now that you don't have to finish the mission to do most of them anymore.

it's gotten to the point where I just don't want to support them anymore
I'm really in the same boat and to be honest, it's harder for me because, power level, I've lost a fuck ton of weight sinking my time and energy into Fortnite instead of just overeating.

Even my squad mates are burnt out and rarely come on. Everyone is feeling the burnout, not just us.

The event literally never loaded in for me but apparently it was just a laser hitting the zero point for a few seconds (and some people's games glitched and relocated them... or was it a feature? I dunno.

Big fucking final event for the season that was supposed to be the big return to form and return of the seven. Absolute wet fart.

EDIT: Oh yeah I heard some people got immunity in their lobbies. That didn't happen for me. I was camping in bushes as sweats slaughtered people and waiting for the thing to start the whole match. Eventually it was just me and one other guy who was clearly trying to do the same thing and on the last storm circle he killed me when I had him on like barely any HP after we both seemed to realize nothing was gonna ever happen. Not a single win this season for me lmao but fuck this season ended up sucking.

I also won victory royal by using my event immunity time to buy legendary weapons, and killed everybody with a legendary lock-on assault rifle.
I really wish KF had the equivalent of "Reddit Gold" just so I could pay you for actually living up to your KF user name.

God I would be pissed. Great job.

Thanks to one of the trailers I found out someone apparently now owns copyright of italian ai image shitpost character tung tung tung sahur because there's a copyright and tung tung tung sahur skin in the window on one trailer for the new season.

I think this both says a lot about IP ownership BS and copyright law on top of where we are as a society right now

I don't understand why it threw up hundreds of people and schematics at me, and the patch notes don't seem to explain it. Are they retroactively given new collection book rewards?
They let me fill a few spots in the collection book so that's nice I guess.

The new Research mechanic in STW is lit. Now the random garbage weapons and traps you find in missions can be made into schematics.
In high level missions they spawn with nearly max stats so it takes out like 95% of the grind.

Do you know if it counts if a player drops the weapon? I have some alright weapons I wouldn't mind dropping to help out some newer players.

Downloaded the game to check out this season, looked at the battlepass and decided not to buy it. Bugs Bunny, John Cena and a dozen of generic nonames - not worth grinding. Maybe just gonna play enough matches to get some v-bucks from the free pass, and uninstall Fortnite until the next season again.
Want to bet that they're going to add Big Chungus straight to the store, probably as a traversal emote, I don't think they'll make it work as an outfit.
