It really depends on the member you're talking about. As far as I'm aware, there were members like Art Vandelay who didn't seem to terribly off. Also members like 'Wykked Witch/Osama Bin Bambi' who seemed like they had a good head on their shoulders.

I *think* Distind also perused the CWCki, so there's also the slight chance that he might appear in here. Hell, if he knew this thread existed, he'd probably laugh his ass off.

Worst case, I'll just be in here uploading random screenshots as the mood takes me. I've said before - there's about 6 years or so of logs on the old boards, and 4 or so on the new ones. There's always something new to find.

This is a mite of :powerlevel:, but I was rather young when I first began using the forums myself, and I didn't really know the depths to which the insanity ran. I kinda just tried to be 'chill' about it. It wasn't until I stopped going to their IRC that I really stopped to look at just how fucked the forums were.

Now there's so many webs of high school drama and WTFery that they're all so hard to keep track of. You've got everything from allegations of offsite harassment (including web stalking and phone calls) to leaked nudes, a rival forum that wouldn't do anything but troll (and, currently, are in control of the site.) You've even got mod drama the likes of which even Reddit would facepalm at. Hell, even earlier this year, it leaked onto the main page when Distind mentioned he'd be interested in handing off the site, and members of FQA attempted to butter him up in an attempt to relink FQA and FSTDT.

It's fucked up and beautiful.

For a fun moment - here's a guy attempting to propose to a woman over the internet with a forum game.

This attitude got taken to an extreme and they began to care more about screaming at each other, then blaming the increasing volume on 'fee fees'. In other words - Tumblr social justice.

FQA's current philosophy among the louder remaining members is basically that, except dead serious. Since I can't find their 'down with cis'/'cisphobia' threads (in which they basically said that cisphobia doesn't exist because SYSTEMIC OPPRESSION MAKES IT OKAY SHITLORD), have this:

Chit was a moderator on the CWCki Forums in 2012 on the free forums. He was a self-declared actor with a CV that was one extra role in a shitty zombie movie. He was banned along with Blueberry after she started accusing him of posting non-nude pictures of her on a revenge porn imageboard. The mass banning caused people on both sides to start reporting the CWCki Forums to their free forum hosts, which all dropped the community repeatedly. It was this that resulted in my acquisition as permanent host.

It should be noted that *anyone* on that site with 'Iron' in their name is usually going to turn out to be a sperglord.

Ironbite stalked his ex girlfriend and is one of the few members of the site still remaining. Currently his lowest point (to my knowledge) is him trolling FSTDT for Napoleon_The_Clown in exchange for experience points in an RPG they were running. Because Ironbite was also friends with mods at the time, even outright chatlogs showing that Ironbite agreed to this were ignored.

Ironchew is a self-admitted communist who can also be found on r/politics. I don't know too much about Chew myself (as I left shortly after they arrived) - but everything I've heard from other ex members paints Chew as the left-wing version of Ultimate Paragon.

Paragon himself is...just precious. He genuinely thinks that he'll get the remaining members of FQA to believe him on things like GG or radical feminism when most of the remaining posters think Saint Anita isn't a scam artist and that Brianna Wu was actually forced from her home. He's probably the only reason most of the posters are still around - as their GamerGate thread on Flame & Burn is the only one that consistently updates.

The post I'm remembering is someone saying they would seek out CP in college, and it stopped them from offending. They said it "didn't hurt anyone" (yeah, like that little girl being exploited wasn't hurt.) and that his college buddies knew and were okay with it.

There was a huge circlejerk about how progressive he was after. Maybe it was in the comments on FSTDT itself?

The search has a bit of wonkiness, depending on which site you're using.

The FQA boards have fucked up servers that go down if you so much as look at them wrong (to the point that seeing SQL errors as you browse isn't uncommon). If you tell it to search for everything since the inception of the site, it chokes trying to load all of it.

The proboards have a stupid captcha that wonks out if you try to open multiple tabs and it requires the captcha each time you search something, making searching a pain.

Been trying to get a few more modern quotes, since before, I'd been focusing a lot on members that have since left (Oriet, Magni, etc).

Kinda feel bad for having such a disproportionate amount of shots from "The_Queen", but...that's the problem with FQA's current userbase. For a site that supposedly has 25-30 members online at any given point (because the site registers guests as members for some ungodly reason), there's only 10-15 actual members that log in. From those members that log in, there's only about 5 or 6 that actually post.

I'll summarize the members I've mentioned before, but they are:

The_Queen - whose posts I've been putting up a lot on here. She originally 'left' along with Oriet, Vene, and Magni (though I've heard she'd lurked for a lot of that time). She eventually returned and immediately set to arguing with other members. She was directly involved with getting Distind off the site, and her attitude has been cited to me by other members as a reason why they left as well. She's currently one of the most frequent posters on the site - despite also going after a law degree.

Ultimate Paragon - token GG sperg and Christian. He can also be found on KiA and is generally entertaining because he winds the other members up. He's probably the only reason anyone currently posts at all on the boards.

Ironbite - ex-girlfriend stalker and general asshole. Originally from the 'Allspark' forums (along with Oriet and a few other members). Tends to have a love-hate relationship with Queen.

Even Then - A Swedish tumblr stereotype. Has hilarious opinions on feminism/race and has ragequit the site at least twice. He appeared after I left, but everything I've heard indicates that he's hilarious.

Sigmaleph - Owner/Admin of Frequently Questioned Answers. Identifies as a 'Genderweird Poly Autistic'. Is a member of the "LessWrong" community and, if I remember, was also a member of Atheism +. Has a Tumblr: https://sigmaleph.tumblr.com/

Something to note if that actually happens - they have a rule stating that forum chewtoys can't be banned unless they do something extremely offensive. It's largely unspoken now to my knowledge, but still something the mods apparently follow.
