Generally true, but it's just annoying if you actually like the characters and just want normal results.
 
My relationship with furries is rather love/hate. I've had furry friends, and I honestly enjoy the whole character design side of things, but it's so not worth... everything else. Whenever furshit crops up on my social media feeds, there's a 50/50 chance that it's either regular, competently made art or the most depraved softcore porn slop that makes my eyes water and my brain dribble out of my ears. I really do think it's a mind virus that infects autistic children and makes them grow up irreversibly attracted to werewolf men.
 
I think furries, pedos, troons and related coomers lack the ability to distinguish cuteness from sexiness.

A pattern i have seen in all of them is they eroticizes cute things like pets, cartoons, cuddling, femininity, kids, displays of affection and alike stuff. It’s like their brains are no longer able to set a boarder between being kind and being horny.

Of course, only a deeply socially stunted, touch starved and porn addicted being could reach that sad point.

Just my take to build a unified theory of terminally online degeneracy.
 
As Current Year drags on and on and on with no end in sight, is "furry" becoming less taboo in America?

I still remember how it was on the '00s internet: there was the term "fursecution" that "furries" used.

That's pretty interesting and likely has some truth to it, but you could put me on a deserted island forever and I still wouldn't start fucking the crabs and birds. There's probably also something fundamentally wrong with them.

There's zero taboo regarding it from what I can tell. It's probably just becoming more common so it seems like a taboo is lifted because it's more visible now due to its increased prevalence. Just a guess though.

I think cute and sexy can coexist within healthy limits, and of course cute and sexy are not the same thing. That is, it's one thing for a man to think a woman is cute and attractive -- but it's is quite another when an incestuous freak such as "Chris Chan" thinks that Sonic the Hedgehog style hedgehogs are somehow sexually attractive (ew).*

Furry seems like the canary in the coal mine, to see how far the boundaries can be pushed. It's not bestiality per se, but it's uncomfortably close yet still far enough removed to test society. It's what the left always does with sexual mores, which is why you gotta put your foot down on all of it.
