I might just be being dumb, but I'm not seeing in the archive nor in your screenshot where it says 2023? I see Sept 2022 in both but again I might just be tired
Okay, you're right, whoops. In my defense, the writing was changed dramatically between both drafts. Remy going on and on about vaccines on Twitter isn't making this any less confusing, either:
PL time: I'm lurking in the ANE official TG chat, and can confirm that anytime the vaccines are brought up, they slobber the knobs of Big Pharma and mock the naysayers. In short - it's both. They're legitimate true believers and performative activists over the vaccines.
If they keep vaxmaxxing like this they will soon be immune to death itself (except if it's by heart conditions).
The secret to immortality has long been unlocked and they generously are gifting it to all those who attend by requiring them to walk the path of enlightenment.

or rather, they're attempting to cure all the ailments of life via death
those who remain are those who's bodied are more chemical than man, and they will be used for the next step of human evolution- engineering actual furry hybrids
honestly, i can't believe there are still people getting shots and boosters to this day, that's like if they abolished taxes and you went "yes but i'll still pay taxes anyway, because i feel like it!"
it's insane, i can't imagine being in that mental state
Both your posts contradict what is in your screenshots so I have no idea wtf you are seeing. Anyway, fresh ANE drama coming in!!!
@Plushderg is the partner of ANE's con chair, and ANE staffer. Today, they made a tweet comparing Nomad Complex's new designs to that of other fashion designers. Unfortunately I didn't archive the deleted tweet since I didn't expect to come back and make a writeup today, but I had the worthwhile content in my cache:

Pretty insane that this company lied to everyone about closing down, and then stole all of their assets and design ideas from PoC creators in the fandom for their new drop. You have to be blind not to see it.
#1 is literally "it's black and white" except it's all different subjects and composition. #2 and #3 have virtually nothing in common whatsoever so I have no fucking idea what straws they are grasping at there. #4 is.. it's a yellow dog or something I guess.
NC responded with a now-deleted thread dissecting the supposed plagiarism and art theft (all their posts about it have been mopped, but some stuff was floating around on the archives).
The comparison artwork is all from HOWL OUT, a socialist teeth / techwear kinda brand. You wouldn't believe who is the Guest of Honor for ANE 2024!!!
It should be noted that HOWL OUT do not like Nomad Complex and have had ongoing personal feuds for years. Through the grapevine, Smokey, the Asian artist at HOWL OUT, got very offended that the artist behind NC asked him if he was allowed to use Japanese characters for a design. It was very retarded question to ask, but NC is your typical softie Canadian so it's a given. Holding a several-year grudge over getting asked a question is absolutely inane, but this is a story Smokey still tells people which is how I ended up knowing about it.
Something else I want to point out too just from observation of social media: Smokey, the artist in question that Nomad Complex is being accused of ripping off, is the literal best friend of Remy and Plushderg as well as their roommate.
There is indeed some shonky business going on if they wanna start beef with Nomad Complex.
I thought this nugget was funny, Tonya Song (BIPOC grifter who sings sometimes, Guest of Honor ANE 2023) throwing their hat into the ring and immediately dunked on because the furry fashion people won't shut up about kanji racism
It would appear that furry convention drama has been brewing in New Jersey recently. This has been going on and off for a while now, but it just recently had a very public slap-fight happen. Honestly, I'm surprised no Kiwis have brought this up yet, so fuck it, I'll be the one to do so.
Here's the story of Garden State Fur the Weekend, currently planning to run May 3-5, 2024 in New Brunswick, New Jersey,
Much like many other furry conventions, this event was initially proposed by someone who might have had good intentions but wasn't sure what to do when hurdles were sent their way. In this particular story, that furry would be Dashing Foxie, and we can get a basic idea as to what transpired based on the convention's Twitter account.
(Dashing's Twitter) (GSFTW's Twitter) Unrelated, but is that Andrew Dobson in their Twitter banner?
Anyway, it would appear this event has been in the planning stages for a while now. If their Twitter is anything to go by, the original proposed date was in 2021 but was pushed back and delayed several times due to COVID-19. archivearchive
It's worth mentioning at this point that Dashing was also one of the furries in charge of running the South Jersey furbowl, a reasonably popular event. In early 2022, it was announced that the bowl would be working with GSFTW to help fund the convention, which seemed to initially go over okay. The proposed picnic happened, and it seemed that a reasonable number of furries showed up as well. archivearchive
It was announced around this time that the price for attending later furbowls would be increasing, with some of the extra funds allegedly being used to help fund GSFTW. While I can't seem to find anything public about it, Dashing received some flack for not initially disclosing what this money would be used for, and he was also not transparent about the fundraising in general. Allegedly, Dashing was keeping the money in a bank account that only he had access to. archive
Despite this, the convention kept moving along, claiming that in November 2022, they had a contract with the hotel but needed funding to pay for the deposit, shilling a GoFundMe. While there don't seem to be any archives of the GFM, furries surprisingly donated enough to reach their goal. archivearchive
Things took a weird turn in 2023 when registration for the hotel block opened up, and furries managed to fill the block. A couple of months later, it was revealed that the convention was being relocated to a different hotel entirely and people's reservations would be moved over automatically. While it was admittedly a much nicer hotel than the original one, Dashing once again wasn't very public as to why it was moved, it led to a lot of speculation as to what led to the move in the first place.
Now we jump to mid-January. Less than four months before the convention, the GSFTW Twitter put out a long post accusing people in their telegram chat of associating with "those who do not represent us or our intentions", then rambling about nazis. Less than 48 hours later, Dashing put out a post stating he was resigning from the convention, citing "medical conditions", which the convention re-posted. archivearchivearchive
Anyways, that's where we seem to be right now. I'm sure there are probably a few smaller points I've missed, but I haven't seen much attention brought to this on the Farms yet. As I write this, their official Telegram chat is in the middle of a giant flamewar with the admins mass-banning dozens of people with little explanation, but I'm not willing to go look at it myself (if someone else wants to do that, go for it, the link is right here). I've heard from one fur that admins in other furry chats are cross-referencing furries in the GSFTW member list and pre-emptively banning them from other chats, regardless of what they did. I do know of at least one fur who was banned for "abusive comments" despite only lurking in the chat.
Given this strange behavior, it makes me wonder what happened behind the scenes. At this point, it's not clear what Dashing did that resulted in him being removed from his convention. The aggressive behavior in their chat makes me think there are some ulterior motives behind the scenes, I'm just not sure what.
As of now, the event is still scheduled to happen in May 2024. Will the event be a success, or will it turn into a repeat of Capital City Fur Con? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
EDIT: While I was writing this out, they tweeted they already picked a new chair. archive, Link to Shy's twitter
