Olympiakos beat Fiorentina 1:0 and won the Conference League.

It seems like most United fans are on board with keeping Ten Hag. Most of the people wanting him out are either Ronaldo plastics or bandwagon fans.
I guess like any fanbase there's always a section of fans that are completely reactionary and go from 'I love this guy' to 'he's fucking cancer' in the space of one game. Sadly United has a lot of them and the media loves feeding off it.

Any United fan with a shred of awareness will know we're nowhere close to being the best in England right now and haven't been for a long time. It's going to take multiple years of rebuilding to create a league-challenging team and I trust we're heading in the right direction with ETH compared to previous managers. This is the first transfer window we'll have under INEOS' reign and with a proper sporting structure in place.

But then you have other fans that demand success right now and then act shocked when we don't do well after recycling managers every other year.

It'll last until 2025 if he's lucky

I haven't seen any game of any his teams he was coaching so far and barely know anything about him. He's young, Bayern is 3rd station after Anderlecht and Burnley, he brought Burnley back to the PL and they got relegated this season. That's it. I looked up his stats and they look mid (40 something win rate overall).

As a lot of the major clubs FC Bayern is basically Game of Thrones and that's where I see the most danger for him besides a lack of success. Bayern can't fall down further in Bundesliga. He has to lead them at least close to the championship again. Like should they only rank 2nd next season but are only 1 point or 1 win behind the 1st (probably Leverkusen) then I guess that should be fine. Bayern can't get kicked out in DFB cup so early again and not against such an underdog like Saarbrücken. Champions League? The final of the next CL season will be held in Munich so ... good luck, I guess.

lol at this guy, his stock was so high last summer and a lot of top clubs were after him but he decided to stay 1 more year at Napoli and had a subpar season. He's never been shy about his preference for Chelsea and most assumed they would buy him this summer. Then Conte is all but confirmed at Napoli and wants Lukaku, setting the stage for a mutually beneficial player+cash deal but Chelsea says no thanks.

Meanwhile, PSG has apparently offered 100M for his teammate Kvaratskhelia. I think Kvara is great but if that offer is real, De Laurentis is crazy not to personally drive him to the airport right away. I'm actually scared of what Conte could do with that money in Serie A.

He tries to play a possession style. He got fucked in the premier league because his goalkeeper and defenders couldn't keep possession under premier league pressure but he insisted on playing that style. If Kompany hasn't learned from this, then he will be fucked at Bayern.

Chelsea are trying to get on the right side of financial fair play. Lukaku is still amortizing a massive fee. Why would Chelsea ship him and money for Osimhen? Napoli would have to send money or have a player for player swap in order for this deal to go through. Right now, a team would have to pay around 40 mil for Lukaku for the costs to break even on the books. So you are basically asking Chelsea to take a 40 mil hit plus a transfer fee for Osimhen.

Kvara being the Mbappe replacement would actually be very interesting. I hope he would do well at PSG

Of all PL clubs to offer Osimhen out to I'd have thought Arsenal would be their best bet. Challengers for the PL title for the last two seasons, they seem to be financially sound for now and in desperate need of a prolific striker to get them over the line. Plus most media outlets seem to be linking them to the likes of Benjamin Sesko for the same reason.

The Lukaku-Conte links make some sense but like DSP's Tax Lawyer mentioned above Chelsea have got to get on the right side of FFP by the end of June reportedly, so splurging big money on a striker who's lost his initial hype sounds crazy. Then again it's Chelsea and Boehly is capable of anything.

Honestly thought they would have thrown him to Newcastle

Football's world governing body Fifa has been warned players are willing to go on strike if they continue to be overworked.

Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Maheta Molango believes players are now at breaking point.

The PFA has been calling for action to alter the congested football calendar, especially with the expanded 32-team Club World Cup proposed for next summer.

"I can tell you a situation not even 10 days ago where I went to a dressing room directly affected and I said: 'I’m happy to be here and bark a bit but ultimately it’s down to you. How far would you like to go?" said Molango, speaking at the PFA and world players' union Fifpro’s end-of-season review of player workload and recovery.

"Some of them said: 'I’m not having it, we may as well strike.' Some said: 'what’s the point? Yes I’m a millionaire but I don’t even have time to spend the money'.
Won't somebody please think of the children millionaires.

Yeah I am sure they will protest all those games... for about a week. Then when the paychecks stop rolling up, they will quickly shut up

Allah nigga got suspended 4 games for "refusing to help fight against homophobia" by taping the fag badge.
Time to figure out which cultures we care about

Fair enough, I'm not familiar with Chelsea's financial situation as I don't really follow the prem besides from watching the top 6 when they play each other. They do seem to have an interesting project though, and I imagine Osimhen is gutted (apparently Drogba is his idol).

He would terrorize Ligue 1. But apparently Conte is keen on him, even though he wants to leave and I saw report today that said PSG increased their offer to 110M and Napoli still declined :story:

Yeah, I think Osimhen would do well there. He has grit, which is something the current Arsenal lacks imo.

I have just heard that Chelsea need to still sell players by the end of June to get on the right side of things. As far as the current expense for lukaku, you just need to know amortization, transfer fee, and contract length. So Lukaku was about 100 mil, and a 5 year contract. That means every year, Chelsea are recognizing 20 mil in expenses. However, if they sold Lukaku, whatever is remaining to be amortized gets recognized as an expense immediately. Which is why they could never sell him despite wanting to. Because nobody would pay 80 or 60 mil plus his wages.

Interesting. The podcast I enjoy listening to talked about how Napoli want to sell 10 players and bring in 8 players. Presumably selling Osimhen and Kvara would finance a lot of those players coming in and letting the other 8 players leave for cheaper.

Which podcast? Please share.
Its called the Gab and Jules show. It has all the red flags of being unbearable with it being ESPN FC and some SJW political commentary. But Gab Marcotti has the inside on Italian and Spanish outlets while Jules has the inside on English and French stuff. Plus they can bring on some interesting people from ESPN FC who aren't goofing around to talk about actual things. Plus they have like 2 hours of content to fit within an hour to and hour and 10 minutes so they get straight to the point.

I don't know how long they are planning on doing it, but they are starting to upload the podcasts on youtube which I love

Was there any doubt about who would win this final?
No Real Madrid are a bunch of cheating faggots who are always saved by the ref. I don't even know if that was the case in this game but whatever.

Vini is also a tard. I stopped watching Champions League games with Madrid in them bc I like to watch things that make me happy.

Daily reminder that Leipzig should have eliminated because Vini chimped out and should have gotten a red card but Vardrid wins lol

Also the whistle being blown early on the offsides for that Bayern game was a crazy break of proper protocol.

All of this pales in comparison to City's 117(?) ffp charges. Does anyone pay attention to the English league and know what is happening with this?
