Jordan Pefok and Ricardo Pepi not being in the USA squad is bizarre, they are in good form in the Bundesliga and Eredivise. Either way our goals will come from midfielders and wingers, we just never have dangerous strikers. I also worry about Aaron Long in defense, he sucks. Tl;dr Berhalter is dumb.

Its ok, we included Jordan Morris so he can show people how to tear their acl's for some reason. But for real, 9 MLS players? There are maybe 2 MLS players worth taking.

Some other snubs are
Reggie Cannon- apparently he isn't playing enough in Portugal and didn't earn a move over the Summer so MLS guys will do lol
Malik Tillman- with a set midfield, why bring a young guy to get experience right?
Auston Trusty- dude is doing well in the Championship and is a young defender on the books at Arsenal. So why did we not take him too?

It feels wrong to actively cheer against Berhalter but I hope he gets canned after this cycle. Tired of the MLS having a tight grip around the national team selection
 
Does anyone watch MOTD on here? Its amazing. Every time Gary or Alan talk I just keep thinking about the fact Ronaldo admitted to raping a woman and everyone in the media just decided to pretend it never happened.

Not the worst selection by Southgate. IMO Gallagher and Mount should be out while Barnes and Dunk should be in

He'll just pick his usual favourites in the same dour, dogshit formation and we'll squeak through the group the crash out in the ro16, just enough to keep the twat in a job

I am glad Abraham isn't in but Ivan Toney or Tomori not making it is interesting. Also Kalvin Phillips in the squad is proof he just went with what he knows instead of who is in form. Its too late now, but your chances to do well was the last world cup and euro's with such a favorable draw and the big teams being down but you blew both chances
 
I am going to be bias and saying maybe take the one Black English player that has a proven track record for pens (and current the second highest English goal-scorer in the league behind Kane) in Toney over Rashford or Wilson.

Are there 5 subs per team at the World Cup this year? There’s gotta be considering they’ll be playing in 30-40°C or does every stadium have a roof and air-conditioning? Am I making that up or do I remember correctly that they’ll be cooling whole stadiums down? Imagine the noise. I’m hoping for the Muslim version of the vuvuzela meme but it’s air conditioners.

Qatar officials said they are going to be air conditioned. I remember there was a Brazil vs Argentina game played there with the air conditioning a few years back to test it out

I remember seeing something about Toney being in hot water about gambling so maybe the FA knows something and are keeping him away. Kane will play every minute anyway so its kind of moot but Wilson's a good backup.

Phillips' inclusion is criminal. There's already Rice, Henderson and Bellingham for holding mid, he's not even necessary.
 
What an absolute banger of a second half in the Spurs-Leeds game. Great performances from the former Juve duo of Bentancur and Kulusevski, which is something I always love to see.

Speaking of Juve, if they win and Milan loses or draws tomorrow, they will somehow be 2nd in the table going into the international break. The second tier in Serie A behind Napoli is pretty close so it's not saying much but the possible front 3 when club football returns could be Chiesa-Vlahovic-Di Maria. Not too bad even with an idiot like Allegri at the helm.

I remember Wilson being pretty underwhelming when he was at Bournemouth especially compared to Toney who is in the form of his life. No doubt there will be penalties and Toney one of the best in the Premier League.
As for Phillips', he loves a good scrap and I am sure that'll come in handy at some point.
 
Freiburg and Union Berlin are playing each other right now, only 6 minutes into the game and Freiburg already leads the game 2:0.

That's it with Union going to win Bundesliga this season.

EDIT:
The 1:0 was a penalty in the 4th minute.
Then Freiburg immediately scored the 2:0 (6th minute).
Then Union got a penalty but missed.
Now Freiburg got it's 2nd penalty, scored again (3:0) and Union got a red card.

And we are only 20 minutes into the game.

EDIT 2:
So it's 4:0 at half time. Union took offensive players off and brought defensive players with begin of 2nd half. Game's over and Union will be out of the race for championship now. It was nice as long as it lasted.
