I’ll believe it when the comunicado oficial drops and he’s actually presented at the Bernabeu. Otherwise it’s all bullshit as usual.
Le Parisian and a separate outlet broke the news. If it doesn't end up happening then it would be his decision. But it appears he has made the decision to go. Only thing that would stop him might be a massive contract but he already turned down his loyalty bonus from his current contract. I would assume, unless something changes, he is going to Real Madrid

Apparently Hong Kong fans are fucking fuming after the Hong Kong team played against Inter Miami earlier today and it'd been advertised and promoted for months that Messi would be playing. He was on every advertisement they had and regular ticket prices were as high as $600 which sold out in an hour to finally see him play in their country for the first time in a decade.

Messi was on the bench the entire game. He didn't even come on for a couple of minutes.

I did find this funny though:

Serves them right, anyone who’s a fame and fortune chaser should fucking rope. Not there for the football, just wanna be able to tell their friends that they were at a game Messi played. Fuck them all they deserve it.

Serie A happenings

Inter beat Juve 1-0 in the derby but it easily could've been 3 or 4 if not for Tek Szczęsny and Gleison Bremer. Inter will most likely win the league now, as they are 4 points up with a game in hand and Juve are bound to drop more points with their style of play. Bremer may be sold to a premier league team this summer and after that game, the price just went up.

Milan gets a late winner from Madrid castaway Luka Jovic to beat Frosinone and pull within 4 points of second place.

Napoli look bad without Osimhen but were able to get a late winner on a banger from Kvaratskhelia.

Roma are looking much better in the post-Mourinho era so far. 4-0 today against Cagliari who are bad but that's what you're supposed to do to bad teams at home. Shout out to Dean Huijsen who scored his first goal as a professional today, what a player he could turn out to be. Roma are now 1 point behind Atalanta for 4th place. Atalanta have a game in hand but it's away to Inter, so they will probably lose.

There's a gap between 3rd and 4th so there will be a battle for that last champions league spot between Atalanta, Roma, Bologna and Napoli.

Worst Korea's luck has finally run out. Second semi between Qatar and Iran is tomorrow, as are both Afcon semi finals. Hilariously the South Africans are currently malding because the Nigerian High Commission in SA sent out a statement suggesting their fans in the country avoid celebrating too publicly if they win, and the South Africans are bitching that this is unfairly suggesting they're violent niggers who would chimp out over it.

As if I needed more reasons to hate the British. Dude is 23 years old, went to Creighton then into USL 2 before getting snapped up by Orlando City for a year. He then gets the opportunity to go to a Championship club as a trial offer (loan with option to buy) and takes it making me like the kid more (would rather see talent in positions the USMNT needs trying to make it in europe instead of staying in this fucking league) but then Blackburn fuck it all up with the paperwork. God I hate the british

We had the first two quarter finals of DFB cup.

St. Pauli lost to Fortuna Düsseldorf 3:4 after penalties and Hertha BSC lost to Kaiserslautern 1:3. Was actually rooting for Hertha this time bc it would have been one great story if they would have made it to the finals after the sudden death of their president and the final happening in Hertha's home stadion but it is what it is.

Next week are the other two quarter finals, Leverkusen vs Stuttgart and Mönchengladbach vs Saarbrücken. Next weekend we also see Leverkusen vs Bayern.

Leverkusen played against Stuttgart yesterday and they won with another last minute goal 3:2.

Saarbrücken vs Gladbach was supposed to be tonight but got cancelled 7 minutes before the kick-off bc too much water on the pitch. They were trying to dry the pitch with leaf blowers but it didn't work.

Ivory Coast just got into the African Cup final. Just a reminder that they fired their coach when they finished 3rd and thought they were eliminated
The funniest part was Zaha being left out of the squad because he doesn’t like participating in group activities. If they win I will laugh my fucking ass off.

I had a coffee ready to watch this game this morning and was greeted with the commentator talking absolute shite until they cut off the stream.

Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen (in 1st by 2 pts) is hosting Bayern München (in 2nd) today in an hour or so. Leverkusen have not lost this season. Meanwhile even though they're in 2nd, Munich still has something like the 6th best start in league history. Munich do have quite the stack of injuries, but key defender Kim Min-jae should be back after Korea got knocked out of the Asia cup semis.

Leverkusen have been a joy to watch this season. While Bayern have had their ups and downs, I would also say Harry Kane has also been a delight, and he's still on pace to beat Lewandowski's scoring record.

Whoever wins (and let's be real, everyone outside of Munich is pulling for Leverkusen), they should be in the driver's seat for the title. A draw (as they had earlier this season) also means Leverkusen control their own destiny.

Nothing notable would have come from it anyway. Most MLS prospects that come to play in the UK end up flopping anyway and drifting over to Serie A or fucking off back to America.

Pulisic is arguably the US team's poster child and he couldn't even handle the PL. Antonee Robinson is probably one of the most promising players in their national team that can handle the PL and he's English-born. You can have some decent players every now and then but in general the US scouting pool just sucks.

Theres a few americans who have actually done well in England. And I would rather see him try to succeed in England. If he failed and ended up in Serie A, then its still better than staying in the MLS

Kicking myself for not putting money on this. I knew South Korea was cooked when they only beat us in the quarters due to our own incompetence.

I was hoping Jordan would go on to win it but the cancer of world football that is Qatar took home the silverware.

2:0 Leverkusen after 50 minutes. Bayern is done. Leverkusen dominated them in the 1st half. Congrats to Leverkusen winning Bundesliga after 11 years of Bayern winning it.

Game ended 3:0. Leverkusen is now 5 points ahead of Bayern has the better goal difference (4 goals ahead of Bayern) so I'm 100% confident that they are going to win the Bundesliga this season. If Bayern can't beat them nobody can which also means Leverkusen would end the season unbeaten.

And then there is this ...

Don't jinx it

The team who couldn't win a game at their home world cup wins the entire tournament
