So Twitter is currently going wild with speculation after reports that Bayern are in talks with a Premier League manager from a club outside the top 6. Current leading speculation is it's Thomas Frank of Brentford.

EDIT: Holy shit it gets worse:

If their only option is a literally who, they're going to pick one that actually speaks the languages theyre looking for.
Thomas Frank
has to be twitter brainrot. no international experience to speak off, has never won anything, wouldnt make it through pre season before being ground up between locker room cancer and leadership infighting.

Tho I'm praying for Total Bayern Death inshallah.

Isnt Allegri free now? Kalle has wanted him for years.

I'd rather pick Frank over Kompany. He's kept Brentford stable in the PL since he brought them into it and with a club that is essentially picked apart by bigger PL teams so often he does well to keep them steady and you rarely see them falling into the relegation spots.

Kompany had one great Championship run with Burnley and he's been shit ever since.

There's got to be better options out there for Bayern to pick from but Frank makes more sense between these two.

Tbf he's only had 2 seasons at Burnley. He tried to implement his style in the premier league and didn't have the players. I think he needs another season in the Championship that allows him to play his style and dominate before going on to a better job. He should absolutely not go to Bayern. Would ruin his career

More on the Thiago Motta saga. Bologna hosted Juventus today in a meaningless game as both secured champions league qualification last week. Bologna were winning 3-0 by halftime and pretty much cruised to the 70th minute, when Juventus managed to score 3 quick goals and continue their run of draws in the league. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric, I think it's been like 40 years since Bologna played for a European cup so their supporters were going crazy. But the obvious elephant in the room was Motta's inevitable exit, with Juventus being his most likely destination. I think I heard an Italian commentator describe him as a peacock, showing off his feathers to his future employer.

Another big takeaway from Bologna's season has been the emergence of Riccardo Calafiori, who plays as kind of a roaming centerback. He has been one of the best players in Serie A this season and is getting a lot of hype as potentially the next great Italian defender. He scored a brace today and is also linked with Juventus this summer.

Kenan Yildiz also got the opportunity to impress his future coach with the equalizer.

There are some headlines that you just love to read:

Current provisional squad, will be interesting to see who makes the final cut for the Euros:

Toni Kroos is retiring after the Euros, so the UCL final is the last game for Real, after nearly a decade (17.06.2014) there. Winning in Wembley would elevate him to the most successful (in terms of club trophies won) german player ever. Happy to see him play for Germany one last time, winning the WC was his breakout moment, and now he's retiring still at his peak with hopefully a EC win as well.

Legend of the game. I know people are blackpilled about the implications of Mbappe joining Madrid this summer but losing Kroos (and inevitably Modric soon) is something I don’t think they’ll be able to cope with in the toughest games. Bellingham, Camavinga and Tchoumeni are a strong midfield but are any of them geniuses like Kroos and Modric?

Speaking of Kroos in 2014, probably my favorite german kit ever.

but are any of them geniuses like Kroos and Modric?
Sure they can't be replace one to one, Real doesn't have anyone that does precisely what they did. But I see Real simply moving on doing something else. Their mentality seems to be one the most enduring in the sport. And they have a strong midfield without Kroos and Modric.

So my buddy (a data scientist) got really sad that there is no more premier league (and has way too much time on his hand) so he went game by game for 38 games to determine the xG of every game and get an outcome. Since it was interesting, I will post the full table just because I thought it was kinda neat.

Imagine having the time to block random accounts mocking you as you're heading into the busiest time of year in your job. What a massive faggot.

I am really quite impressed Kroos will retire without getting a payday from Saudi. That is really good and I hope more players will follow in his example. I know they won't because the money is too much. I do not blame the ones that go honestly, but, perhaps, we are seeing the last big players with such integrity.

Why is he using his business twitter as a personal twitter? Literally just keep reporting shit you hear. Accept that stuff you say isn't always going to be true. Your job is to report what people want you to report as an insider. Even if only 50% of what you say is true, its still good

Even though I hoped Bayer Leverkusen would win the final I have to give credit to Bergamo. They earned this victory, in the 1st half they were fierce and efficient, didn't give an inch to Leverkusen defensively and made two deserved goals. In the second half they cleverly managed the game and did the knockout punch. They played great. Congratulations to Bergamo.
