I'm sorry you only have 300/1 for these as I will have to do from memory:
FCSB v Man Utd
Tottenham v Elfsborg
Twente v Besiktas
Olympiacos v Qarabag
Lyon v Ludogoretes
Nice
v Bodo/Glimt
Roma v Eintracht Frankfurt

As for last night, if you bet on individual games you would've seen a good profit. I advise you bet on a parley and then individually on game 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Good luck although in this case luck shouldn't come into it.

5 monies on each of your suggestion, 30 in total. We shall see.

A bit late but a quick disclaimer:
I am from the future but there is a chance, although admittedly slim, that someone who is connected to either the staff or players involved in one of the games has read my prediction. This will alter the timeline for just that one game, this has happened a few times before but is rare. This is why some games are predicted wrong on fine margins. For example: The AC Milan CB that lost the ball and then the Zagreb player directly scored from that. It turns out his brother uses this site and stumbled upon this thread, upon seeing my prediction he showed his brother (he admitted this on his cancer deathbed in 2062) which gave him overconfidence to win which led to the mistake. That goal not only put them 1-0 down but was part of why AC Milan went down to 10 men due to being on the counter attack which ultimatley just lost them that game.
This is the trouble with being a time traveler, it takes a lot of time to make money by betting because you can only rely on 7/10 games.
Then you have other time travelers skewing the odds and others trolling, a common troll tactic is to switch out the contact lenses prescription for the linesman in the 1986 Argentina vs England because some clever folk realised that was the only variable in what decided that game. Whenever a lot of time travelers bet on Argentina, the trolls give the linesman the right prescription and vice versa until we reach a point where our heads start hurting.

Anyway, gamble at your own risk.

well left with 25 so lost 5 in total. Not bad at having a go considering the results :) I like a little gamble, not a lot of gamble

man 1600 from 5 would have been the dream :)

Alright, bored and ready to post about things you could easily find with a google search

Champions League results

Teams with a bye- Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter, Atletico, Leverkusen, Lille, Aston Villa
The draw happens tomorrow and there are groups of 4 teams that could end up playing each other in a certain order. So I will list them as A B C D but just know that A and B cannot play each other and C and D cannot play each other
Section 1- Monaco, Brest, PSG, Benfica
Section 2- Sporting, Brugge, Atalanta, Dortmund
Section 3- Celtic, Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern
Section 4- Feyenoord, Juventus, Milan, PSV

Liverpool and Barcelona get Section 1
Lille and Aston Villa get Section 2
Atletico and Leverkusen get Section 3
Arsenal and Inter get Section 4

Europa League

Section 2- Twente, Fenerbahce, Bodo, Anderlecht

Lazio and Athletic get Section 1

Conference League
Match ups are already made so this will be bracketed a little differently

Gent vs Real Betis
Copenhagen vs Heidenheim
Chelsea and Vitoria SC get the winners

Celje vs APOEL
Molde vs Shamrock Rovers
Legia Warsaw and Cercle Brugge get the winners

Celje vs APOEL
Omonoia vs Pafos
Djurgarden and Lugano get the winners

Vikingur vs Panathinaikos
Borac vs Olimpija
Fiorentina and Rapid Wien get the winners
(Seriously though, if Fiorentina or Chelsea don't win this then I have serious questions for them because I only recognize a few clubs from here as memes and everyone else is unknown)

Notable Teams that missed out
Champions League- Stuttgart, Shakhtar, RB Leipzig

Europa League- Braga, Hoffenheim, Besiktas, Nice

Conference League- Hearts, Istanbul Basaksir

So I was listening to a recap podcast and they brought up a unique idea that would make this league format more fun and I agree with them.

There shouldn't be a draw for who plays whom for the playoff. It should work as a pick em style playoff that is set by the better team. For example, the teams who finished 17th through 24th which would be: Monaco, Brest, Feyenoord, Juventus, Celtic, Man City, Sporting, and Club Brugge, are put in a group and then a representative from the other 8 clubs get to pick which one of them they want their opponents to be. So Atalanta get to pick first out of the 8, then Dortmund pick second and have their choice of the remaining 7 (since they can't play Atalanta's opponent), Real Madrid get to pick from 6 etc etc until Benfica get the last one.

Then after the playoff rounds, Liverpool get first pick of the remaining 8 teams that won their playoff, Barcelona second, Arsenal third, etc etc until Aston Villa get the final pick. But the bracket is set by the top 8 teams. So the winner of the Liverpool game plays the winner of the Aston Villa game, Barcelona winner would play the Lille winner, Arsenal winner plays the Leverkusen winner, and Inter winner plays Atletico winner. Then the Inter-Atleti winner plays the Liverpool-Villa winner and the Arsenal-Leverkusen winner plays the Barcelona-Lille winner and then you get the Champions League final.

I think this would be way cooler than a draw and you would definitely tune into the broadcast to see who is seeded where

Not sure if it's more likely for me or anyone to tune into some broadcast but it would definitely put more importance on certain rankings. In the current example one of the teams to pick to play against would be Man City and no matter how underperforming they are at the moment it's still modern fucking Man City. From the 8 teams to pick from are three that I definitely would want to avoid at any cost and thats 1. obviously Man City, 2. Sporting and 3. Feyernoord. So it would actually really matter if my team ranks 5th or 6th.

Anyways, the draw for the CL knockout play-offs:

1738323527583.png

This means for the round of 16 the following seeding:
1738323614212.png
To put in names:
Brest/P$G - Liverpool/Barcelona
Brugge/Atalanta - Lille/Aston Villa
Man City/Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid/Leverkusen
Juventus/Eindhoven - Arsenal/Inter Milan
Feyernoord/AC Milan - Inter Milan / Arsenal
Celtic/FC Bayern - Leverkusen/Atletico Madrid
Sporting CP/Dortmund - Aston Villa/Lille
Monaco/Benfica - Barcelona/Liverpool

So theoritcally we could see in the round of 16 the Milano derby with AC vs Inter, the Madrid derby with Real vs Atletico and Bundesliga 1st ranked vs the 2nd ranked team with FC Bayern vs Leverkusen.

And especially the last possible match-up (FC Bayern vs Leverkusen) is a hot one, at least from a German POV; on the weekend between FC Bayern's CL knockout matches against Celtic FC Bayern is going to face Leverkusen in the league. Right now FC Bayern is 6 points ahead of Leverkusen so their Bundesliga match is basically a 6 point match. FC Bayern already got knocked off from this season's DFB cup - by Leverkusen.

Probably P$G versus Liverpool or Barcelona is another top match up.

The draws for the Euro League knockout stage and round of 16 matches:

1738335489868.png

So Frankfurt can either play against Union Saint-Gilloise/Ajax or PAOK/FCSB (Bucharest). Please God, have mercy and give us Bucharest.

So United get either AZ / Gala / Midt / Sociedad
I'm sure we can manage to fuck that up...

So I was listening to a recap podcast and they brought up a unique idea that would make this league format more fun and I agree with them.
My words for the Mexican league aren't of appreciation but one thing I find interesting is that during it's playoffs In case of a global tie the team above in the the regular table wins immediately (except the final).
That would also be an interesting idea to make the league phase standings more relevant

Not sure if it's more likely for me or anyone to tune into some broadcast but it would definitely put more importance on certain rankings.
I mean if you look at the table, 4 points stood in between 9th place and 24th place so that definitely makes sense (11 points was also 25th lol). There were so many different tie breakers and that would make the games matter way more. And having the rankings just place things out isn't fun because you get these teams that just have a few bad games and you end up playing good teams towards the end. Like for PSV and Milan what a great treat to finish as high as they did and now have to play Feyenoord and Juventus. Real Madrid finishing a point out of the bye spot and they get Man City. And Bayern dodged that bullet because they could have played City.

I just think the idea of calling who your opponent will be is way more fun and would get some funny clips. Go full UFC style too where the managers get up and square off in the center stage

Looks like 1. FC Nuremberg in 2. Bundesliga pulled the buy option for a guy from PAOK who was on loan in Nuremberg for 18 million and immediately sold him to Brighton for 25 million.

:semperfidelis:
That's why I'm not even upset my team didn't go for him despite being heavily linked a few weeks ago. 25 fucking million for someone valued at 10 at best from a team that instantly profits 7 million for doing nothing.

Some strange deals this window, everybody seems desperate to get someone in but nobody can spend more than 30 million really other than Man City. My team's squad is going to be very threadbare until Summer but I see us going ham right before the PSR window in June taking advantage of desperate clubs.

Dorgu to Man U. Having someone who plays the position they are looking for seems good. Honestly, this isn't a terrible transfer for January. He is either a future player for the wing back position or he is a back up player that can rotate into this spot. The positions they really need to fill would be well above market value during January so getting someone like this for a decent amount is a solid bit of work, even if its just a small step

Mathias Tel on a loan with no option to buy to Spurs. Nice move from Bayern tbh. Teach Mathias that his options are sitting on their bench or end up as a rotational player in a relegation battle

Disasi to Aston Villa. Villa sold Duran and decided to spend all that money right away, despite being a club in financial trouble (in the FFP sense). Bringing in Malen from Dortmund, Garcia from Levante, Rashford, Asencio, and now Disasi. They might mitigate that a bit with Buendia going on loan to Leverkusen but holy shit do they spend it quickly

Reports I'm seeing say that Tottenham have the option to buy, but has to be approved by Tel. Which... weird, especially since the deal was reported as almost done over the weekend and then called off by Tel.

There is apparently a 55 mil euro option to buy. Options to buy are bullshit though. Bayern most likely want him to leave and if he does well for Spurs, they will def get him for less than that option

Allegedly the 55 mil buy option was set up in the very last moments bc Tottenham wanted it but Tel didn't.

It's a tricky situation for Tel and the FC Bayern actually.

- Tel: Under Tuchel he was thriving and one of the very few highlights in the squad. Everybody expected him to make the next step under Company but to everybody's surprise he benched him. The last few matches now where Tel got a chance to show off his skills he didn't really perform tho. Since Company took over and Tel was benched there were constantly reports and leaks about how he, Tel, vowed that he wants to stay at FC Bayern, to make his breakthrough there and become a regular player. Allegedly there where quite a few offers for him from top clubs in the PL in the summer be he didn't want to go there. Imagine that; a young thriving talent refusing to go to the PL.

- the squad: FC Bayern needs to look out to not become a club where young talents have no chance to make it. They sold Gravenberg to Liverpool which in a lot of people's opinion, including me, was a mistake bc he is another good talent that you do want to have in your squad.
Right now FC Bayern basically has three young talents in their ranks: Stanisic, who avoided the last horror season bc he was out on loan at Leverkusen where he was actually an important part of their squad. He came back and hasn't played since bc of injury. Then there is Pavlovic and Musiala. Musiala has a low at the moment and isn't doing that good. His contract is up and there are some top clubs interested in him. If they lose him they might get some good cash for him but it could be another Toni Kroos situation (even Uli Hoeneß admit a fews later that letting Toni Kroos go to Real was the biggest mistake ever in Bayern's history). Leaks suggest that Bayern wants to keep Musiala and to build him up to be one the players in the squad, beside Kimmich, Pavlovic and Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen. The plan for Pavlovic is to become their next Thomas Müller.
They need this core of young talents for their squad bc money. They simply can't afford anymore to only buy established talent and not to recruit their own young talents.
The squad of FC Bayern is not deep enough. It's showing more and more with the newly added CL matches. Too many players either injured or simply tired. FC Bayern is not alone with that issue. Frankfurt has the same issue right now; you literally can see that the players are tired on the pitch and don't perform on their usual level. You can see it in Leverkusen too, you can see it in Stuttgart and you can see it in Leipzig. Probably at clubs in other leagues too but I follow closely only the Bundesliga.

- money: Plans of FC Bayern are to get Wirtz who they won't get for less than 90 or even 100 mil, more likely to be 100 mil. The FC Bayern may be rich, one of the richest clubs in the world in fact, but they don't have an infinte money glitch like Man City, P$G or Real Madrid. Their wage pyramid is getting out of hand and the last few transfers, especially Kane, Ollise and Palinha, took a hefty toll on their wallet. There are other names circling around that Bayern is allegedly interested in and they all have their price tags. If Hernandez from AC Milan doesn't renew his contract he can join them for free but he won't play for free and there is always the hand money. They are also heavinly interested in this Swedish guy from Sporting CP and he won't be cheap either, especially if the rumours are true that Real and Man City are interested too. They simply can't compete with those two clubs on a financial level.
They need a core of young talent where they can add established players. They simply can't afford financially anymore just to buy established players alone and form a team like they did in earlier eras. So they need to sell players. Coman, Gnabry, Sane are candidates - and Tel. Tel probably the one they can sell for the best price. Coman, Gnabry and Sane all want to stay bc they earn are shitload of money. Sane; at best Bayern gets one good half of a season per season out of him. He came with high praises from Man City but tbh he never hold the promises that came with him. Gnabry and Coman are to injury prone for what they are worth. Coman is 28, Gnabry and Sane are 29. Alfonso Davies is another candidate. He is only 24 and when he deliviers he fucking deliviers but his performance is not a constant level. Goretzka is still hanging around and another top earner. He was sorted out at the start of the season but has become an important back up player.
Neuer has resigned for another year and he is one of their top 3 earners besides Müller (who will stay too for another year) and Kane. Kimmich wants to get in this tier, same for Musiala, same for Ollise and a few others.
Kane; they spent a 100 mil for what? 40 something goals last season but no trophy. And the same could repeat this season. They are already out of DFB cup. Can Bayern win the CL? I see quite a few clubs ahead of them. Obviously Liverpool which I would deem to best team overall at the moment. Then is by default Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid will eat them alive if Bayern has to play in the Metropolitano, Leverkusen, P$G, even Man City despite their struggles, Barcelona, Inter Mailand. They lost to Aston Villa and got their asses kicked by Feyernoord. Can Bayern win the Bundesliga? They are 6 points ahead of Leverkusen but Bayern is going to play Leverkusen on the weekend between their CL matches against Celtic. So it's a 6 point match actually and then it's just another loss and Leverkusen is on par again. And then? Then they paid 100 mil for one of the best strikers who breaks record over record butdidn't lead them to any trophy. Congrats.

tl;dr Tel is a young talent that wants to be at Bayern which they also really need to stay but he could bring in some good money which Bayern really needs too
