Even if the entire situation is tranny on tranny violance, it's about the ethics behind it. To me it's similar to spitting in food. Even if the person deserves it, you become a nigger in doing it.
As someone who reads mainly foreign books, what I dread the most are bad translations or for the translator to insert his nigger opinions in the work.
Ever seen certain editions of Mein Kampf with heavy annotations and other kike nonsense? I have and I don't wish that on anyone.
regardless of where you are on the anime spectrum, it's at least about the "and then they came for me", you can't really prevent something like a hypothetical lotr spanish translation where frodo and sam are "uwu whats this" every encounter without putting a boot on *everything*. and it's a product that is marketed and should be treated as such, whether it's blatant gooner bait or not, if you pay good money for something, pay someone's wages, you should get a good quality product. if you don't want a gooner product, that's fine, but it's fucking shit across the board that with translations specifically, your ass is not covered whatsoever. you can't generally get a refund for some shit like "yeah i have proof this tranny changed over a quarter of the situations and dialogue and character relationships". and especially when it's gooner esque shit, it's not like you can really talk about it in polite society, so nobody's ass is ever on the line besides both mass outcry AND that their team lead doesn't just pat them on the back for the message. if someone spits in your food, you can get their ass, but if you order a translated copy of got that has some shit like brienne be trans, nobody will fucking care.
even in gooner shit, it's amazing how hard people fuck up censoring alone, because instead of going to right before the sex scene and then just "fade to black", even in much higher fame shit like fates etc they usually just cut out any scene where characters are so much as in a bedroom, and some also cut out any innuendo. some do a great job of adding in completely new scenes with date-esque shit with character development so the consumer doesn't feel ripped off, but mostly they just mutilate sections of the games. like they're selling the shit not even to teens, but to children. like yeah, mostly affects gooner games, but that precedent is also in general translations, of content they're not comfortable with or just wanting to soapbox.
if i read a copy of communist mannifesto, i don't want the translator to have made it into a parody and talk about the glories of republicans, i don't want a book about the founding fathers that says they're all shit and everything they did is null because they owned slaves every 5 seconds, i don't want mein kampfs sugarcoated or redacted, i don't want got with no sexual violence or outstanding brutality/red weddings, and yeah nigga, even if i pay money for a gooner game, i'm not paying them 20 bucks or a big steam sale to get memed on and fucked over. if i buy a anime game about troons that's accurate, sure, i sign up for that, but if i buy a blu ray about big titted dragon girls that starts having english subtitles talk about gender norms, then they can go fuck themselves.
if i pay 30+ for a translation of lotr i have to sink hours into, then that shit better be servicably immaculate by someone that likes the source material and at least fucking tries, and isn't the equivalent of a prude translating a gooner pregnancy game that's uncomfortable with what they explicitly signed up for, or someone that says "oh i looooooove lotr, but it has a stunning lack of NEGROS and DA BBC" or some shit. if people can make films like nymphomaniac or hostel on the regular and be taken seriously, i don't think it's a high bar to ask for digital tits to not remove care for translation quality, and in general i think translators' jobs should be much more on the line, since it's their entire fucking job to just put game of thrones or whatever 1:1 to your language. the entire script is their responsibility, and in books, that's like 99% of the entire fucking work. if they fuck it up, it fucks the potential entire product line, potentially the ip in that region at least, and nearly nobody's going to get a fucking awful first translation, hear "oh we're sowwy it's fixed now/going forward" and get fans back.
i mean whether it's for highschool of the dead or srs bsns like the silmarillion talking about elf 476 or some shit, people should be wanting to make money, and consumers should be satisfied with paying money for it, if they're willing to fuck/risk their company and the ip and everyone involved, while directly lying to the consumer that the product is accurate trust me bro, it really should have been a really big fucking deal long ago, like when manga wasn't popular and the absolute shitshow translations that were made, and will likely never be made again in eng without ""remasters"" because "they're already in english bro" and translation scan groups being raped
