Basically anyone that still cares enough about this series to visit Westeros.org is an autist and a lolcow, any showfags are dumb normies, and any showfag that feels superior to bookfags is some unholy combination of the two.

There are better fantasy books out there now anyway. GRRM was revolutionary in the 90's but it isn't the 90's anymore. A deconstruction of Wheel of Time or Shannara are not the best you can hope for in fantasy lit.

Wait, wasn’t Dany’s wedding night with Drogo consensual in the books?
Well she was crying for a bit and was terrified but she eventually kinda consented to he sex the first time after being coached. Then hated it again later. So probably like you'd expect someone from her culture and in her position to behave.

So basiscally no, not consentual. It was just more nuanced than the show, like almost everything in the book to show conversion.

Then watch as it turns out he did when Arya fucks Gendry rotten in The Winds Of Winter.

As for the episode, just watched it and it's a nice set-up.

While everyone freaks out about a body double's sideboob and inch of buttcrack they missed a legit lovely sequence where Jaime knights Brienne, it's also good to see Sansa and Theon reunite and get along well. Dany's clearly feeling threatened by Jon too, maybe she'll attempt to kill him and that's what sets him off and kills her if Crows before hos doesn't kick in.

As for the deadpool next episode, I predict a bloodbath. Ser Davos, Theon, Edd, Tormund, Grey Worm and maybe Varys will all die.

unless the army of the dead actually enter Winterfell and slaughter the civilians,I think the non-combatent characters like Varys,Davos(it's easy to forget, but he's not a fighter),Missandei, and Sam are safe.Everyone else on the frontline, though, are fair game.Maybe the Hound is safe because they won't want to cockblock the fans with the long-awaited fight with the Mountain(though that would be a huge subversion of expectations, and they like to do that as well,so...). Maybe Jaime is also safe since they may want a resolution between all the three Lanister siblings(with Bronn already ordered to kill both Jaime and Tyrion on sight with Joffrey's crossbow,so there's also that build up too).
I also think at least only one dragon will survive this battle, otherwise fighting Cersei with two dragons would make things too easy even with the Golden Company backing her

I was on the verge of tears with the Jaime and Brienne scene.

Her smile was so genuine and sweet. I think that's the first time we've seen Brienne really smile and it was worth it.

I'm happy the show is finally throwing Brienne a bone, what with Sansa saying she trusts her with her life and sparing Jamie on her behalf and then having her knighted.

Also, I'm hoping Daenerys and Jon get married so both can rule together. Yeah, they're aunt and nephew, but like incest has ever stopped the Targaryens before.

Meh. I so wish this wasn't being made in current year 2019. Because I know that certain characters are protected and safe to satiate the internet rage machine.
do you mean this in a "they're not gonna kill off the brown characters cause SJW mob" sense or the "they're not gonna kill off the beloved popular characters cause tard rage" sense?

I guess a bit of both. I was thinking more of the popular female heroines. I'm not even sure this show has the guts to kill Cersei anymore.

I hope Dany sticks a dagger in Jon's back, only for him to resurrect a few seconds later and just wordlessly brush himself off with one of those hurt puppy expressions

Falcon Twist!

Jon and Dany confront the Night King in the Godswood. Jon pulls out Longclaw and rushes towards the Night King. The Night King raises his hand, Jon stops suddenly in his tracks. His eyes turn blue and he turns around to give Dany an impromptu c-section. dun dun dun Jon was a wight all along.

The Vale is basically the only place that is "neutral" currently. Up until the last episode of season 7 it was run by Petyr Baelish, we don't really know what Sweet robin is doing.

The Vale would be really difficult to invade because of its geography. It's mostly mountainous, sure you could go into the valleys where most of the farming takes place and fuck the Vale up. But I would say The Vale is only really tied with Dorne in terms of being prepared to last the long night.

Cersei definitely won't try to invade the Vale (unless show logic has truly gone #fullretard) because it would be a huge waste of her mercenaries.View attachment 734582
I was thinking of the Vale during this episode. Pretty sure they're fucked because even though The Eyrie is "impregnable", that's mostly on account of it's height. Isn't that advantage lost when your enemy has a dragon? Couldn't Viserion wipe them out before they had a chance to retaliate?

You're right. they're definitely fucked if The Night King ventures south, I'm sure even retreating into some caves of the Eyrie or whatever wouldn't protect them from dragon fire.

Harrenhall was known as this amazing fortress and even it got literally melted, it's towers twisted and contorted by the heat of dragon fire. Balerion the Black Dread was the dragon that burned Harrenhall and it was born in the Valyrian freehold and massive - I still think danys dragons are basically nukes when it comes to structures though.

Not only did Dany grow up under the protection of rich patrons, but she also became a Queen by marriage to Khal Drogo (arranged by those same rich patrons). It is literally the easiest hand the daughter of a deposed king could get.

This is not really aimed at you, but it irks me how some people undersell Dany's backstory. She didn't grow up under the protection of rich patrons; the books explain that she and Viserys were forced to go from place to place begging for scraps while people humored them until even that eventually dried up. She was forced to sell her family's heirlooms for food, was chased halfway around the world by assassins, and abused by who she knew to be her only living relative. She was then sold by that relative to be raped by a warlord. Yeah, it eventually worked out well for her, but let's not pretend that her marriage to Khal Drogo was sunshine and rainbows, he repeatedly raped her until she finally earned his respect.

Daenerys is my favorite character because she's largely a self-made woman. Hatching her dragons, freeing the slaves, earning her army, etc were all done without any help from others.

She also seems a lot more human in the books when by season 3 she had elevated into god like levels. Like later on, in Meereen, Dany is shown to still have a very tender, vulnerable side to her. And you start to remember she is still a teenage girl with her crush on Daario, but she still maintains this cynicism that someone her age should not have. One of the things they don't show on the show is some of the indignities she has to go through again, like before her wedding to Hizdahr, they insist on examining her. She says no, but still, she has to appease all these people. She can't do things her way, she has to conform to the culture. She's almost back to square one again. Oh, and then she gets pale mare.

Gonna have to disagree, Dany was given the dragon eggs as a wedding gift. She then trusted the witch that cursed her, leading to Drogo's funeral pyre where the eggs just so happened to hatch. Everything she gets after this is due to these dragons.

I can't think of one instance where Dany doesn't just throw a tantrum and have her dragons or her advisors fix things for her/burn a bunch of shit.

CNN weighing in with absolutely nothing of importance:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/22/entertainment/maisie-williams-sex-scene/index.html

You weren't the only one surprised by that scene between Arya Stark and Gendry on "Game of Thrones."The pair did the do on the episode of "Game of Thrones" which aired Sunday night and folks were not ready.Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya, told EW she initially thought it was a joke because showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have sent actors bogus scripts before to pull their legs.Williams first learned of the scene from her bff Sophie Turner, who portrays Sansa Stark on the hit HBO series.

"I called Maisie and was like: 'Have you read it yet?'" Turner told EW. "And she's like, 'I'm midway through episode one.' And I'm like: This scene, this page, read it! This is awesome! She was very happy."

By the time they got to the table read, Williams said she had some thoughts about her character getting busy with the character played by Joe Dempsie

"I got to the read-through and I'm reading the scene and thought, 'Oh, we're actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.' A whole list of things," Williams said. Not all of the viewers were happy with the scene, however. There was some discomfort on social media with a nude Arya whom many watched grow up on the screen.
She said Benioff and Weiss told her, "You can show as much or as little as you want."
"So I kept myself pretty private," Williams said. "I don't think it's important for Arya to flash. This beat isn't really about that. And everybody else has already done it on the show, so..."

I mean, the Arya thing makes sense. Its sort of idotic, "Yeah, this girl has experienced everything but sex. She wants to die alone and a virgin". That's not how humans work. Besides it being a body double and all, book readers are just mad ass hurt that GRRM will never finish the books.
