On a network run by jewish men comes a show run written by jewish men about how terrible white people are. What a tiring stereotype that has become. I don't even have to specify which show, because its a shoe that keeps on fitting - could it be Confederate or Watchmen? Why not both! Hollywood is so creatively braindead.Oh yeah I mentioned Confederate in my last post, for those who dont know what this is, allow me to enlighten you...
“The show chronicles the events leading to the Third American Civil War. The series takes place in an alternate timeline, where the southern states have successfully seceded from the Union, giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution. The story follows a broad swath of characters on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Demilitarized Zone – freedom fighters, slave hunters, politicians, abolitionists, journalists, the executives of a slave-holding conglomerate and the families of people in their thrall.”
Or to put it simply, in a couple years time we will see the BLM version of A Handmaids Tale style persecution porn as written by DnD, with the story based around heroic fREEEEdom fighting journalists opposing FFFFFFUCKING WHITE MAAAAAAAAAALE slave hunting corporate CEOs and politicians
There's no way they didn't shit on this season intentionally. Someone cannot write that story in good faith, it would be impossible. They decided to burn the show to the ground and are having the biggest larf over this.Varys betrays Daenerys by spreading the news that Jon is the real heir to the throne and straight up telling him "Look I don't know if Daenerys is going crazy or not but I know you're sane and would make for a better king" when he reaches Dragonstone. Tyrion tells on him and Daenerys gives him the Tarly treatment.
Tyrion begs Daenerys to stop the siege if she hears bells toll. She apparently agrees.
Jaime has been captured offscreen and is held prisoner, Tyrion goes to free him and tells him to save Cersei by escaping through a secret passage out of the Red Keep, They'll find a boat waiting for them. I think Davos is the one who leaves the boat there as a favor to Tyrion but I have no idea if he knows who will be using it.
Arya and The Hound are inside King's landing. She wants Cersei and he's ready for the Cleganebowl.
The siege begins, Denerys effortlessly solos both the Iron Fleet and the Golden company (who is standing OUTSIDE the walls for some reason) , takes out all the scorpions and destroys the city gates.
The good guys enter the city and all the Lannister soldiers surrender. The bells are tolling, and the fight apparently ends without any civilian dying, the only casualties being the Golden company Mercenaries and a bunch of pirates. But uh oh, Daenerys doesn't like the sound of the bells and goes crazy (no, I'm not making this up) and starts burning down the citiy, roasting most of the population of King's landing before heading to the red keep to burn it. Grey Worm goes "Yass kween slay!" and starts killing Lannister soldiers, followed by the rest of the Unsillied, Dothraki and Northmen. Once they're out of defenseless soldiers to kill they move on to the civilians.
Arya and the Hound are inside the Red keep as it starts crumbling, he tells her to choose life over her revenge and get the fuck out. She does.
Cersei, Quyburn and the Mountain are escaping the Red keep, when they are stopped the Hound. Mountain kills Quyburn by bitchslapping him into oblivion. Gregor and Sandor start fighting as Cersei runs away. The fight ends in a draw and they both die.
Jaime is about to enter the secret passage into the red keep when he stumbles upon Euron who survived the destruction of his fleet and just happened to be there because the plot demanded it. Euron decides to fight Jaime (despite the fact that they met near the escape boat and he could have just taken it and run away) , Jaime wins and kills Euron but is seriously wounded. He enters the keep and reaches Cersei. They talk a bit and die together as the escape tunnel collapses on them.
Daenerys won't fucking stop destrying King's landing and the army retreats before she decides to burn them too. There is a long scene where Arya escapes from king's landing and befriends a horse (yes really).
End of the episode.
They should have killed her before all those cringeworthy love scenes.Dany going apeshit is fine--I don't even mind her being triggered into madness--but the way it was executed came out of nowhere and makes it look like this was all because of Missandei and not, you know, because she recently lost Jorah, two dragons, Jon's love, etc.
Missandei wasn't worth the lives of innocent civilians.
Remembering important characters from earlier seasons for the sake of a payoff?Bravo.
There's a huge number of talented actors in the world, not only in the United States, Great Britain and the Commonweaalth countries that are mostly ignored because they were born in the "wrong" place.
Also, it would've been nice to see the Arya Stark/Ilyn Payne showdown. I mean, since she's already at King's Landing...![]()
They replaced Dario with some dude who looked nothing like the original actor even though Dario never did anything memorable nor important, and they've had three different actors play the Mountain.IIRC Payne's actor had to bow out due to throat cancer? I think that's why Bronn trained Jaime in S4 or S5
Really, if they wanted to do this, they should've made her a lesbian and had her seduce Dany. Sophie Turner's a dyke in real life, so she would've had a chance at actual chemistry with Emilia Clarke. Even if it failed, it wouldn't be any more preposterous or goofy than the Jon/Dany romance, or the uncountable errors they've made from season six on.
Oh I think Bronn was going to do that regardless. The "Q-rating" of him plus the admitted obstacles of filming a mute interacting with a main character.IIRC Payne's actor had to bow out due to throat cancer? I think that's why Bronn trained Jaime in S4 or S5

She married a guy this year. Is she still a dyke or a bisexual now?
My idea for a spin-off starring ME:

I agree that everyone else is putting out and trying their best. But they have had no real leadership from D&D the last few years. The writing may not be so great anymore but the acting, cinematography and action scenes are still great. I still enjoy the show despite the magic been gone.

The episode was actually not as awful as I feared it would be. Tyrion & Jamie's scene was actually a highlight of the series. I had no problem with Arya abandoning her plan with the Hound because they paid for that with their relationship. She trusts him. She likes him.
But it's just unforgivable from a storytelling point of view to have Danaerys do what she did. No buildup to it, just a few rushed scenes. Two episodes ago she was mourning Jorah as they fought to defend the realm. One episode ago she made Gendry a lord.
And Jon still looked like a fucking cuck the whole episode.
D&D don't even know their own show, never mind the books.
The Slaves didn't magically rise up against Slavers in Mereen at the sight of Daenarys' approach. Greyworm infiltrated the city, broke their chains and armed them, giving them means and motive to revolt. Indicating that, once upon a time, Daenarys understood that she had to give people a reason to love her, not simply point at the other guy and scream 'tyrant'.
