Game of Thrones Thread

Anyone have three memes I am looking for.

One is of drogon and daenarys dressed up as nazi officers.

One is an anime style of daenarys getting mad as the bells toll.

One is of some anime comic of daenarys getting mad or threatening to kill jon snow if he doesn't fuck her.

And how do you search for 4chan threads about the old /got/ threads from /tv/.

RIP to her.

She is one of those actresses that doesn't get brought up a whole lot, but quietly had a cooler career than most people. She was Emma Peel in The Avengers TV show (not The Avengers you're thinking of). She was not only a Bond girl, but the one that was able to get hitched with James and become Mrs. Bond. She was in The Great Muppet Caper and garnered a couple of laughs out of me ("Exposition, it has to go somewhere"), and she was one of the best characters on Game of Thrones, and was one of the few that escaped being ruined by bad writing.

To be fair that's because her character an hero'd before The Long Night (and the Short Disintegration of The Entire Plot.)

All hail the King, uh Queen...no...um Sovereign of the North!

As if I needed a reminder why I didn't care or like this actor before. I'm sure his wife will be happy to know she didn't marry a man.

It really irks me when people use their kids as a prop to make themselves "look good" or score brownie points or get whatever point they want to get across.

Its just gross. Its like the mindset of a Beauty Pageant mom mixed with current year stupid politics and unleashed hell upon the world.

So Kit is almost like a victim here with his mom just straight up using him as a social experiment or excuse to show off.

You knurr nuthing, Jon Snurrrrrrr.

Still, this explains why despite being the hero, he looks like a wet blanket post series 3 even after his character has grown out of wet blanketness.

World War 2 messed up men into not being sensitive? This guy really has no concept of history.

“I asked for a Mighty Max and she bought me a Polly Pocket. I asked for an Action Man and I got a doll – it was very gender fluid from the word go. And I went with it.”

That doesn't sound like someone seeing that their child has an interest in both boys' and girls' toys and being fine with it like a normal person, that just sounds like a shitty mom forcing femininity onto her son because she's an asshole with major issues.

There's being sensitive and there's being a total wet blanket who collapses into hand tragically nailed to the forehead mode at everything vaguely unpleasant. You can be sensitive while being manly.

You know, it's kind of weird... after all this time I spend watching this show and then watching it all go to shit towards the end, I am kind of amazed at how little I care now.
You might say, I kind of forgot about this show.

It's kind of amazing that everyone seems to have forgotten about it. It really doesn't seem to come up unless people are talking about shows that shit the bed, but even then I don't see many people talking about that with any passion.

Just goes to show: The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.

Kit said, some years ago, around the metoo peak, hat men are also sexually exploited by Hollywood. Which is true. There were articles about some actress who laughed at him.

I guess he'd rather follow the crowd rather than speak his voice now because he knows they won't listen, which is tragic.

OTOH, I'm glad people have moved on from GoT. Dave and David were shit to the fans of the books and the actors themselves.

Speaking of D&D being complete idiots...

"Part of the reason we didn't want to put it in had to do with things coming up in George's books that we don't want to spoil [by discussing them]," Benioff explained, without divulging any details about the events that may have halted her appearance.

On the subject of storylines, Benioff and Weiss explained how upcoming events in the show's scripts also had an impact on which direction to take with individual characters, as they had already established ahead of time what was coming up in the later seasons and wanted to ensure that other events didn't weaken future storylines.

"We knew we had Jon Snow's resurrection coming up," Benioff said, speaking about the show's various character arcs. "Too many resurrections start to diminish the impact of characters' dying. We wanted to keep our powder dry for that."

In their final reason for omitting Lady Stoneheart, the Game of Thrones showrunners referenced the traumatic Red Wedding scene, as they explained how the moments that played out in that episode provided the most powerful ending for Catelyn, so to then "bring her back as a zombie who doesn't speak felt like diminishing returns."

Lady Stoneheart wasn't included in the show because D&D didn't want to:
1) Spoil the books.
2) Overshadow Jon's resurrection.
(I guess they never heard of foreshadowing or dramatic tension.)
3) Ruin Catelyn's death.

The lesson from GoT to take away is no matter how good your beginning or middle is, if the end of the show is a shit show it doesn't matter. I dont think theres another show that fell as far and ended as poorly as GoTs did. I mean, halfway through season 8 everyone was watching just to be a conpletionist and to see the trainwreck happen in real time. I'd be really surprised if D&D ever get their own show again tbh. Anybody giving them money might as well burn it.
