some shorts are ads. if you scroll them then youtube will give you ads disguised as shorts, scroll till the up and down vote buttons disappear.

You can but they just don't make much in revenue. Think longer ones have slightly better ad rates then shorter ones.

Minor PL, but because I post shorter clips/shitposts on YT, it will stupidly autoformat them to shorts. And the last one I posted somehow has more views than the last 6 vids I put out.

Youtube shorts are cancer. Only zoomers like that shit the UI is unnavigable on anything that isn't a phone, the people who watch it do not consume the other content the streamers put out, I can't imagine the pay revenue is very good. Its a bad version of tik tok and youtube has taken no effort to improving it at all.

Regarding not liking vtubers you liked, Iron Mouse has gotten annoying not because of her but because of this growing cringe and gay insistence of having her go around the real world with a face time iPad strapped to a scooter and the growing attachment of everything including that fag Connor. We're at the point where companies like Phase can interact with fans at conventions doing their full mocap, and companies having vtubers at booths or pop ups is fine, but there's a point where the hobby now goes from you seeking it out (and looking cringe) to now coming to you, and that's where the awkward starts rising.

damn man, there just too many V-tubers around. i only watch around 3-5 V-tubers and the playlist i use already have over 100 videos of streams i have to watch.

I think the thing lost among most viewers is that chuubas were never that different from conventional streamers. Sure, you got the anime sugar and intensified personality from lack of real-life webcam, but in the end it was the same as any other gamer and (especially) gamer personality which came before. You ultimately watch them because you're interested or like the content; hell for a personal example I'm days behind the chuubas I follow because I use them as background noise when engaging in my hobbies or comfy experiences when WFH since they perfectly flesh out the hours: I won't always have time to devote to tuning into a stream, but it'll be fun regardless and work away the monotony once I can see the latest happenings so there's zero issues on my part.

Enjoy the girls for what they are, however the moment you leap into obsession and structuring your life around them is the point at which Rushia becomes a tragically ironic example rather than a humourous bit of internet meme culture.
