General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I really like Clara, easily my fav of Phase JP, I do feel kind of bad that Phase JP as a whole has been a bit of a lame horse, but ultimately, Sakana has his idol group, and we get the funny blue lady
Outside of the debuts, I've only seen Yuu. She seems pretty chill.

So when will he be caught going to Jamaican
swingers resorts and shoving his balls into a silicone cage?
Lawyer not drink themselves into stupidity and coombrain challenge 2024.
Chat can get retarded really fast really easy
Success comes with lots of retards. It happened to Jerma too from what I remember. Stream went from being legible to just troons trying to get him to say trans rights and communist shit. Pippa doesn't cater to that audience at all, but she still gets her share of retards trying to make it political and other shit.
In Pippa's case she has stated that she doesn't do them anymore because people do not watch them. There was a time around when her song was released that she was doing 8-10 minute videos. She quit doing that because said reception was low or poor.
Youtube shorts are cancer. Only zoomers like that shit the UI is unnavigable on anything that isn't a phone, the people who watch it do not consume the other content the streamers put out, I can't imagine the pay revenue is very good. Its a bad version of tik tok and youtube has taken no effort to improving it at all.

He finally got his hag idol dream. She's very good from what little I've seen. I ain't got time for streams anymore its all abridged and clips for me at this point.

there only so many hours of free time i can spent and those hours are spent doing something else most of the time.
Eventually it turns to just clips. Which isn't bad, its a good way to consume the best without wading through the shit or the chats.

Nerissa/Caitlin Myers face isn't exactly a big secret since there are a lot of pics of her online. Thought that would be obvious.

damn man, there just too many V-tubers around. i only watch around 3-5 V-tubers and the playlist i use already have over 100 videos of streams i have to watch.

I can hardly keep track with the fandom itself. Except for events like big collabs, birthday lives etc I rarely watch full stream these days. All that's left for me are clips

I think ultimately it doesn't matter, Sakanas dream was to have an Idol group, and now he really does have that, and while I'm not to familiar with the other JP girls they all seem very talented and motivated. The one thing I wonder is what is the greater barrier to success for them might be, what little reputation Phase might have in JP, for unprofessional and openly Menhera talents (I love them for this) in a sphere where professionalism is much more important, or the lack of any real awareness of Phase as a whole. I wonder how much JP viewers know about Pippa for example.
I don't think you'll need to worry too much about professionalism. As unbelievable as it may seem, most of us non-NEETs who aren't terminally online can laugh with the menhera antics, rather than getting all parasocial about it.

With that being said, the "uwu wanna hear about the ant colony in my room" brand of filthy unkept menhera probably won't fly so I do hope the JP talents either keep their rooms tidy or refrain from mentioning the hypothetical biohazards they may be. The yabbit is obscure here, and tbh I can't say for sure whether her debuting with the same mannerisms in Japan would've worked.

Specifically I was talking about actual videos. You can hate shorts and have very valid reason for it, but it part of the new meta now. Look at Rin Penrose.

There is nobody who comes close to her numbers in all of Idol.

She got 683k subs in large part with her churning out shorts. What it doesn't translate to is livestream viewers. Here's her most latest streams

and here's Hololive's Shiori.

Before anyone thinks it's unfair to compare someone from small Idol Corp to someone from the Hololive juggernaut I will point out that Rin has 200k MORE subs than Shiori

I really hope Rin's making bank on those shorts because she puts a lot of work put into them.
Maybe its just me, but I think she looks cute
It's not just this thread, it's not just the site, it's like the internet as a whole forgot what normal women look like. If she doesn't have perfect airbrushing, lighting, tumorous tits, an ass you can bounce cats off of, if she's not a caricature of the world's top models or your waifu then she is fuggly. Nerissa is perfectly fine and I would hold that hand and pat that head. Even the other girl was just okay albeit fat. Well, at least she was until she showed off the forked tongue. Body mutilation is, oddly, incredibly unappealing. I hope she can find someone as broken as her that can accept her poor choices.

Yeah the most important part of getting engagement is just posting and doing as much as you can, I like Shiori's streams, but because she tries to do different stuff in most of them they end up coming slower than what the other advent girls do, and it sadly ends up showing in the sub count.

Vtubers who court coomer fanbases always range from mid to ugly I swear
They must use the coomer attention to fill their lack of attention IRL
That's the plight of almost every English dub voice actress.

Some of the most progressive women ik play some of Japan's most outrageous female characters with a smile on their faces.

I'm told guys will court them just because they roleplay as their anime character

Nerissa looks 100% exactly what I would have guessed she would based on her voice.

Maybe for EN, definitely not for JP, Choco, Noel, Lamy etc are very nice looking.

Shorts are a viable growth strategy on Youtube right now but they make no money and usually have viewers that really only care shorts and nothing else. The biggest challenge for short channels is convincing their audience to watch more long-form content that is more profitable for the channel operator.

I've been meaning to ask for months, but can you monetize your YT shorts? If so, how? I never saw any ads when watching them

You can monetize them but the payout is almost nothing, you get a few pennies per 1000 views
the vague understanding of how it works is that SOME shorts do have ads and the ad revenue is shared between all shorts
We don't know the exact ins and outs of it because Youtube aren't very open about it
Shorts are better for advertising rather than making money off it
