This is off topic a bit, but I'm curious what people currently think of Coco/Kson.

I could be wrong, but it seems she's largely drifted out of most conversations a month or two after she left hololive. Are people here still watching her as frequently as before? Has her content changed too much for some fans?

apparently after the olympics they stopped give a fuck about public perception, started using horse paste and slowly moved on from the coof (while the rest of the first world starts doubling down because they like fucking up their economies so much). no idea if that's for most of japan or just certain parts tho.
This is what it looked like for Tokyo Game Show 2021:

Notice how fucking sparse the venue is? That's because they severely limited the number of attendees to mostly folks within the industry and those with press credentials. I can't even imagine a PAX convention these days being held with and this devoid of crowds.

Haven't watched in awhile. I personally have no issues with stuff like her CB collab with Melody but I would have some concern that she may nuke her future potential guest status as Coco if such a thing would ever be considered.

Nagzz is never in a million years going to obliterate his own brand by turning on the VShojo girls. They're good friends of his too.
But he's also good friends with Nux so maybe he and Noble who is also friends with both will just stay quiet

Tbh I always found Coco hard to watch and kinda unfunny.

I love when they start pulling out the whole "DAMAGE" "VICTIM" and "HARM" words. BOO FUCKING HOOOO

I don't remember Nux ever talking about Yfu except when he was going after Digi for Mel and mentioned the difference between Yfu and mel and there wasn't any hate at all toward Yfu from Nux in the vid that I recall
Gotta hop on the hate bandwagon for clout. Its how the ENVtuber scene works.

Pretty sure they are at the point of multiple millions of yearly revenue now. When you get to that point, that reasoning starts to not hold for me.
Many of them yes but VShoujo as a company I dont think has that much of a revenue considering that these people already had an audience and they just decided to come together under a name.

I remember that shitshow

I'd argue getting swatted is more of an immediate threat that needs awareness over Toons pedophilia one
1 can be done infinitely faster than Toon can go dick a minor

Id also argue the reason they didn't expose Toon yet was because as soon as Lily and FNGR signal blasted I think it was Vida doing so anonymously Toon DFE'ed his huge social media presence into the ether and he is still at large today i think he even has a thread here

Whereas this guy is not nearly as much a public figure the internet space from what I've seen
"I'd argue getting swatted is more of an immediate threat that needs awareness over Toons pedophilia one" fair, I wasn't thinking about the fact the scam led to swatting, oversight on my part.
"Toon DFE'ed his huge social media presence" true, which makes the decision more difficult. Personally even knowing that I still would've leaked the audio but that's easy to say as an outsider. Idk how much of an effect missing social media had an effect on him getting away, given the amount of predators who do get away and who are still online.

Really for me your comment confirms how much VShojo messed up if the Toon debacle looks way less irresponsible, more understandable, and less immediate of a concern.

She's just so boring now. I don't mind her content. But I was under the impression Kson would be Savage Coco. Unrestrained by corpo bullshit. When if anything she's more restrained and less energetic than ever. Plus the lack of EN content. If the voice wasn't the same I wouldn't know it was even Coco.

You might disagree with how I was defining revenue then. I was considering all money any of the girls made in their occupation as a vtuber as part of VShoujo's revenue. They are presenting themselves as representatives of the company during the streams so it seems like fair game to count to me at least.

One thing that Coco lost was the ability to collab with Holo talent and only gained the ability to freely collab with Pikamee and Melody.

I think Vshojo gets merch revenue, talent gets everything else.

Welp Nux is fucked even if he releases the receipts and he was telling the truth the whole time.

It completely moved from my life is in danger to take it down because I said so if you were my friend you'd take it down. Even if he releases the receipts they are just going to say that's not the point, that he should just take it down because they said so.

I bet they are getting the victim on their side now promising future collabs or friendships if she tells Nux to take it down because it actually involves her and he would have to honor her wishes as she is the actual victim.

She doesn't have a presence in this thread aside from the occasional celebration post because nothing particularly dramatic is happening to her. Kson's numbers stabilized around the 3000-5000 mark for her Japanese streams which is about the same as what her 'core' Japanese audience was when she was in Hololive. Many of her hardcore fans from Hololive and even before are still around and some holdouts have reemerged since the 2d debut.

In her magazine interview, she stated that her income split is 25% Membership fee and 75% superchat. She said she made roughly $150,000 the month she had Ryugon on GMMF so that would mean $37,500 a month from membership which would mean she would have had at most 7500 members in october, which is less than her peak of 10,000+ as Coco.

As for clippers, Felix172, Crippling Depression, Dran Ch. ETC and ShabbySubs are still producing clips. They don't get the views that holo clips do but Hololive in the algorithm is just way too powerful.

Lately Kson has been collabing with some of her Hololive friends under roommate accounts. She played Apex twice with Choco and Mel on stream but kept it on mildom, probably to avoid drawing any unwanted attention to it. From what she says in her zatsudans, she is still in close contact with everyone off-stream.

She is also networking aggressively and forming a new friend group of indies and smaller companies to collab with. Ryugon and Pikamee from VOMS, Melody from VShojo, Her rigger mama Himono and Artist Yaman**, WoWS Professional Chiho, Kourin from the JP branch of MAHA5 (Malaysian vtuber group) and some more I can't remember off the top of my head.

Never got into her. For a while she had a unique brand of shitposting and memery in Hololive, but once Gura joined she was honestly upstaged in every regard. Gura can casually meme and gremlin in a way Coco could only dream of, and her only real advantage was in being more "shocking". Not to mention how insufferable her voice is.
