Okay, I might be getting my rrats mixed up here but wasn't that statement created by Cover's Bilibili contacts? The same ones that used Sora's Bilibili account to promote anti-hololive posts, erased all of FBK's bilibili videos while being qouted saying that given a choice between their Oshi and their country they would rather burn everything down? Not to mention leaking Aqua's music video and trying to turn it into a rallying call against Hololive?



I agree with this. As someone who watched Miki from time to time, I really don't want to involve her in this BS so you're right that I shouldn't hang this over them. Still FUCK the CCP though.



Mayazumi is a savant in terms of creativity. I think it's you who's been posting recaps of his lore so thanks for that. It just sucks that I'm nowhere fluent enough in JP so I'm usually stuck following EN vtubers or someone who is willing to entertain EN audiences. The problem with some EN vtubers is that they either do the bad dubbing voice or are just boring as fuck. The only EN vtuber that i've really gotten into is Nina.

I definitely don't think Niji's hands are trying to sell a 'family' image. Rumours of their cliques have existed for years, and materialise in the form of compact streaming social groups with very little moving outside of that.

I think everyone loves working there, but feuds in the past have led to graduations, hiatuses, character lore rewrites etc that have all ended up going public. They don't try to be a coherent unit like Hololive do, and even if they tried their numbers are so large that maintaining that wouldn't last very long.

Still, 'not being a family of toxic positivity' doesn't mean they need to be full of drama, callout videos, and diss tracks etc. Fans don't let members of either company really get away with that kind of behaviour (even Matsuri is kind of getting scolded by her fans despite them all agreeing Haachama has to answer for it), so Nijisanji is pretty much an example of a company that doesn't need to overly pander to still be a largely positive and fun workspace.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the Mayuzumi lore dumps, but I can say that the reason most of us got into Hololive was mostly a happy accident, and because 'it just happened' we don't really give other members and other companies a fair shake. NijiEN is great, some of VSHOJO - despite drawing the ire of this thread a lot - are entertaining streamers.

There are innumerable decent Indies, too, it's just a case of throwing your hat in the ring and giving them a try that I think people struggle with because they want both familiarity and a sense of freshness at the same time. People want the same kind of comfort and commitment they've garnered with Hololive through thousands of clips and hundreds of streams, but because they don't want to make that bump elsewhere, people simply get stuck in a rut of not venturing out of Hololive, and I think that's a bit of a shame.

Yeah, I'm with you. It also doesn't help that most indies and start-ups are trying to copy the Hololive model so instead of being a fresh alternative, they just turn into a bunch of rehashes. I like mousey and her dynamic with Conner and Mel's a good girl and the most Seiso of them despite her line of work . I can't seem to get into the other's though (Also, I don't like Veibei because she's pretty much an e-thot). Was kinda interested in Phase Connect but with the drama unfolding right now, I'll probably stay clear for now until it blows over.

In other news, Rosime almost had devastating technical difficulties prior to her first gameplay stream, but managed to turn it around.

Current state of her stream? Peaceful. She says she's not very good at the game but seems to have the Devil's Luck after spawning right next to a village and already possessing diamonds.

She isn't awkwardly laughing as much, either. I wonder if/when she's going to play her self-translation trump card that worked so well for her as Miki.

As an addition to that thought, NijiEN have 3 members capable of translating in Rosemi, Petra, and Elira, with Pomu at least somewhat proficient at Japanese. Even if we only include the fluent ones (Rosemi and Petra), that's still 2 members capable of doing a job similar to what Kiara does, and open the door for a lot more EN-JP collaborations.

Without getting too personal I can sort of understand what the girls go through when it comes to Keybfabe and maintaining a relationship with your peers while doing so.
I've been doing voice acting for almost a decade and sometimes it's easy for your personal feelings to spill into your character especially if your coworker has kind of upset you.
The duality of the situation sucks but luckily at least it can be resolved here

Don’t get me wrong, I do understand the idea of trying to be “proper and business like” or so on. There’s just a difference between reigning things in a bit, and sanitizing stuff to a point that a bonk makes a talent act soul drained. I wasn’t planning to dump on Phase Connect either, the same way I try to not kneejerk any happening onto Cover. I still mean to catch a Tenma stream to check her out, and honestly Nasa has been like 12 levels of comfy anytime I catch her. Great for a bed time stream. I’m glad Pippa is hangin around still, two streams of different layers of chaos could he interesting. Maybe the rabbit sticks to dumping on games, the moth airs freakshow laundry. If she does good with both I can toss her 10 for the fun.

It would just be nice if every time a thing happens with a vtuber it wasn’t just generally able to be nailed down as “not seiso enough” and be absolutely correct for the reasoning. If there’s one thing VShoujo has going for AND against them it’s that. I’ve been considering giving Ironmouse and Melody a second chance just to see.
Vacation has stalled me investigating NijiEN-part2 so maybe they’ll get rolling for some clips around here and I can look into it by the time I’m back.

Matsuri seems to be the type to spill spaghetti even unprovoked. To the point of sudden graduation, me thinks. She has buttload of staff and colleagues who have both her and Haato's interests in mind. They are relatively grown ass people, they'll sort it out.
