General GunTuber thread

If you wanted a 5.56 AK I hope you got it already. Cause I feel like you're going to have trouble finding them any time soon, with cheap 7.62x39 drying up.
I can see 5.56mm AKs getting more popular in the future, which I guess is one of the lights at the end of this tunnel.

Obama ruined this country in so many ways.
Even casual liberals should hate him, because US race relations deteriorated pretty harshly IMO. But I guess retards will just continue tonguing his balls.

Has reloading equipment started coming back on shelves yet?

On another note anyone ever watch Nikoesht?

Some videos are interesting.

Most things are back, primers are still unobtainium. I remain glad that I didn't sell mine at $250/k or whatever retarded price they were going for, I've been shooting through the pandemic without giving much thought to shortages, but it is cutting into my reserves.

Zastava makes one ive been debating on grabbing one for a while I was also thinking about building a polish kit by a company called wbp. Karl on Inrange was bitching about the weight of the yugo because they use thicker receivers and bigger trunnions but I have a sneaky suspicion the weight is an almost insignificant amount. I have a demilled kit and brand new receiver that i wanna do a weight comparison just to see how much it actually is compared to a regular ak.
This is just speculation but perhaps ak rifle prices will drop if ammo is less available

Zastava is going to be bringing the M90 back to market, which is the rifle version of the M85 pistol. They ARE a little heavier but not significantly. Karl is just a little bitch with noodle arms. For someone that likes to play pretend soldier as much as he does, I've yet to see him ever ruck any comparable weight.

Karl is always bitching about weight, he reminds me of Nutnfancy videos from a decade ago with his "ounces equals pounds" bullshit.

If you're bitching about the weight of an AK or any other rifle that isn't chambered for some full powered cartridge, that just means that your fitness regimen is terrible.

As in, even worse than mine, because I'm an overweight doughboy who barely exercises and I'm able to carry and fire my AKs fine. Then again, I shoot them on the range, instead of going out loaded up in gear to LARP as a tacticool operator.

Carry it around for a day sometime. Or a dumbbell, if you can't find time and privacy for a gun-shaped doodad.

The one that takes the AR15 magazines, right? That'll probably make it more marketable, though I'd like to see the M95 one get imported too, just because of that proper lock n' rock and the traditional wood.

I bet it feels like an AK74, but Yugoslavian.

No, the one that took AR15 mags was the PAP M90NP.

The AR15 magwell adapter was added post-import by Century Arms, along with the polymer furniture.

The new M90 being imported by Zastava proper uses polymer 5.56 AK mags, though other 5.56/.223 AK mags can work with it.

This also has polymer furniture, but it also has a Magpul Zhukov stock which I really don't care for.

Zastava is probably best for your buck when it comes to 5.56 AKs especially sense they offer both pistol and rifle options, but the Polish choices aren't bad either.

Karl is kind of right minimizing weight is good, but he takes it waaaaay too far. You don't a gun that weighs 15lbs but Karl throws fits over fractions of an ounce, and spends hundreds of dollars on carbon fiber handguards.

edit: people are mentioning AKs that take Ar magazines and there is a company making an adapter piece that will let you use AR mags with Zastava AKs

He's probably got a bad taste in his mouth from that mall ninja Zentico monstrosity of his.

This is the same Karl that built an AK to be a clone of what Russian special forces uses and it ended up weighing like 13 pounds. Haven't seen that gun in a while.

It's not a good idea to put AR mag adapters on Yugo (or any 5.56 AK really) AKs. You have to cut way too much off the trunnion and it could create reliability and safety issues down the line. I'd just deal with the overpriced steel yugo mags rather than spend $100~ on a mag adapter and possibly hundreds more on paying a smith to put it in. Keep in mind some AK smiths will even refuse to do that work.

IIRC one of them will only do SLR-106s, and they will only use their propriety mag adapter for it.

Stock could maybe be swapped out for something nicer, like one of those FAL/Galil style sidefolders. Uh, will those fit on a Serbian rear trunnion or is there an appropriate version for those?
Also I want some steel mags.

I have always thought that Zenitco's stuff looked like absolute shit, aesthetically anyway. I'm sure it's good if you're the kind of guy who feels the pressing need to bolt on everything he can imagine on his rifle.

Yeah the thing looks sketchy as all hell, but it is out there.

Personally wouldn't trust it.

Not a FAL or Galil style, but ZUSA does sell triangle folders : https://zastavaarmsusa.com/product/m70-folding-triangle-stock/

EDIT: Bonesteel Arms makes a Galil style folder for Yugos.

I have one on my beat to shit Wasr and it's pretty neat.

There are some steel M85 mags being offered on Atlantic Firearms, but they're on the expensive side ($40).
