I got to say I wished Vickers got away with it. The scantions are fucking bullshit as practicallythe obly thing that faggot Obama banned from Russia was Izmash guns and ammuntion imports. He should have had better OPSEC and known to have chose better words however. Speaking of, has anyone else heard rumors that the feds are going after AK12 parts kit builders? I've seen some cool shit pop up from presumably the Ukraine conflict on gunbroker like AK12 and VSS parts kits but I'd hate to see them go away because the faggots at the ATF want to flex.

usually goods from sanctioned companies/countries have to sit on a nuetral 3rd country for 10 years before importation can be legal. I know this applies to arms and optics and so on but i don't know if it would apply to cut up parts kits (which according to federal law are no more than scrap metal).

Like this? He mentions the parts kits dilemma towards the end of the video.

I agree about the rules being bullshit, but he really fucked up by getting in bed with the Russians and staying there. TNSTAAFL, especially when dealing with Russians like he was; unless he's as corrupt as they are.

Just the fact that he kept fucking around with them even post-invasion, all buddy-buddy like nothing happened, pretty much seals the hunch that I had about Vickers being a not just an asshole; but also a corrupt, "rules for thee" feckless asshole with no integrity. So his selling out to the Russians and getting fucked like an asshole comes as little surprise. Now I just wonder how much they were paying him, beyond the technical data.

I'm not a lawyer but I'd assume it no longer counts as the orginal product once destroyed. Russian tank and aircraft producers are sanctioned but buying thropy aircraft parts or items made from the wrecks don't count as sanction violating.

the next trigger shenanigans target for the ATF just dropped

These make me think of Forced Reset triggers and Hellfire triggers, the latter which the AFT said wasn't a machinegun a pretty long time ago.

AFT is gonna AFT though.

It's a shame that it's not worth writing a book over
I don't agree with that.

capacity Vs even 9mm makes it interesting
Doesn't seem like that big of an advantage to me. A 17rd Glock mag with a +3rd extension or an 18rd 92FS mag with a +2rd extension gives you 20 rounds with just a little bit of length out of the grip, which I'd gladly take over the long plank grip of 5.7mm pistols.

You know, for how much discussion I see on overpenetration, I've never actually seen numbers on injuries and/or fatalities from it.
Happens on occasion. Was a case maybe a year ago where some cop shot at an armed suspect in a store, missed, and the bullet went through the wall and into the head of some teenage girl in a changing room, who died pretty much right away.
It's not frequent, but it's entirely possible and one should be mindful of it.

Seems reasonably thought out. Ian specifically covers the subscription fee choice in the video, it means they don't have to deal with advertiser bullshit to keep themselves open. Mentions gunsmithing/handloading as content he'd like to put on the platform, which YouTube doesn't tolerate.
I like the idea of that, but at this time, paying $120/yr for what's currently just the privilege of seeing some full auto shooting videos feels hard to justify. I wouldn't discard advertising/sponsoring in entirety, there's gun friendly ones out there, and if YouTube truly enshittifies too much, they'll want to go and look in places like that. If a bit of sponsoring and advertising could take some of the cost off of hosting, it may still be worth it.

hope he chokes on tranny cock
You'll have to subscribe to his OnlyFudds for that.

I find the entire concept of pistol stocks to be kinda retarded
I see a limited merit in them, but I'll concede that much of it is wanting it because they won't let me have it.
Well, maybe I could find a mixed parts Bolo which wouldn't be too pricey.

Who wants a cowboy gun in .22?
If they had gates for loading, I would like a .22 lever action, but there's a few practical considerations which makes that less than easy for .22, or at least that's what everyone always says.

Those videos were genuinely some of the worst hit pieces I've seen against someone who did fucking nothing against the maker but accept him into their home.
Felt like it very much came out of left field for me, as I kind of just knew of him has some guy who does goofy bullshit. One wonders who else he has stabbed in the back.

His entire shtick is screaming about how America needs to raise up the age to buy a gun to 21, that he's a "moderate centrist", how Trump cannot be president and funniest of all is doing all that while pointing guns directly at the camera and dryfiring, or actually firing his guns which leads him to scream louder than the gunshots (he fails to do so).

He is also constantly watching his comments and deleting anything remotely negative written about him.

The following is a sample platter of his insanity:

Little billy died and it's YOUR fault

Woooomens rites to abortion and gun safety!

GAWN VIOLENCE

Hey kids, buckaroos and cowgirls :)))

Pretty safe to assume he's your average InRangeTV enjoyer, and that he's alone considering all the noise he's making.

I've shot lever action 22's, if I found one for cheap, it'd be a fun little repeater, might even bag some squirrels with it

Right? Looked at an old Marlin 39 a while back, nice feeling gun and all, but I can't stand the whole "yank the tube out the front of the magazine" deal, those never felt right to me.
No, that's a bitch, but once you got it going, it's plenty of fun. And that's what I see it as, a fun gun. Scratches the lever action itch for your collection without breaking the bank

Dammit! I saw this weirdo last night and was going to post something about him too! I hope a kiwi with a lot more time can do an entertaining write up about him. I forsee a lot of sweet sweet milk.

You can make a .22 speed-loader for those types of magazines with a length of telescoping radio antenna; found on most cheap radios, old RC toy controllers, & old vehicles.

Use the largest section of antenna that will fit .22LR, cap off one end with tape, load the thing up, then tape off the other end. When it's time to reload just dump them down the magazine tube.

As a southerner, I'm embarrassed to see him doing what he's doing; it's cringe and gay.

Plus that hat doesn't fit & looks like shit on his huge, misshapen dome. For giggles I made a polite comment to that effect, and he immediately deleted it.

We got a live one, fam!

Another 17 minute advertisement from Ian selling his sweepstakes. Couldn't just make another Alien video so lets do one on gas pistols and loop it back.

On the winners list it's odd there are no people pictured with their items. Just their shitty $50 mugs and mousepad size gun cleaning mats. Like the state lotteries, Ian is taking money from what are likely his poorest viewers (who usually have these big dreams an financial irresponsibility).

On a side note it tells you in the rules is how to enter freely. There is the usual oddly specific rules so they can disqualify you at any time.

I’m new to this thread and came here because this dropped into my recommendations the other day:
Where do I even begin? The clickbait? The over-the-top dramatization? The random sponsorship? I don’t want to dislike this guy. He seems nice. He’s Southern. But his advice just seems a bit weird and this whole over-the-top God & Guns schtick is becoming a sort of anti-Fudd in the sense that gun ownership becomes all about TACTICAL. In all honesty, guns don’t need to be in a safe in the first place. They aren’t particularly valuable, at least not the ones you’d be using for home defense anyway.

Ian's content is at its worst when he's sperging out about a new holy gun that will change the industry that costs too much money for what it offers over a 100/60 year old design (AR/AK or the browning system).
Hudson H9, FK Brno, WWSD, etc.

I've started to realize that C&R can make 1-2 hour videos more interesting than he can on a 10-20 minute video of the same gun, I guess it can show how a little video editing and a background soundtrack can make a difference.
