That said from what I've seen of 00shawn, he is a complete piece of shit and probably deserves what he gets.

I think I might have watched one or two of his videos (and perhaps one or two of VW's videos attempting to troll him) but regardless of how much of a piece of shit he is, there's not much lamer than YouTuber dicksizing wars. Wouldn't you be embarrassed to cultivate an audience of people who were interested in watching this shit?

Yeah that figures, seems to be a pattern the more I learn lol
2008-2016 or so is kind of the golden age for firearms ownership in the US since that was when the parts kits were cheap, the ammo was cheap, and high quality kit was widely available. Everything has more or less dried up since then.

If you factor in inflammatory effects on the dollar, I think right now is a good time for gun ownership. You can get a great quality AR for like 600 bucks right now if not a little cheaper. We have tons of striker fired plastic pistols that fire every time going for cheap as well. In 15 years people are going to look back to this time frame as the "good times" of gun ownership.

And as much as some US states are being real ornery about their bans and restrictions, overall gun rights have gotten better in US and like you said, you can start to get solid quality rifles for relatively little money. And what money you save, you can now invest on optics and all the doohickeys to attach on the gun to make it a better weapon for you to use. Though ammo prices, jeez they have become a lot more expensive.

One thing that has stayed in my mind was the AWB video on Inrange by Cinnabun. I think the overall point of his of how the AWB made AR-15s the wanted rifle by everyone does carry a point, but the thing that has stayed with me is how much from those AWB times has the AR-pattern rifles become even more ubiquitous and commercialized. The amount of aftermarket parts or the guns itself from various manufacturers is just astonishing, this is a buyer's market where you can find exactly what you want and you don't need to just pick and choose from a set of manufacturers having to follow set of rules on what sort of plastic to put on the guns. Throw in the SBR wait times getting slashed to just weeks, barrel length is not an issue anymore either.

Yes and no. It's a great time to buy a gun but if you're a hobbyist it's awful. All the cool non mainstream stuff is prohibitively expensive and a lot of the historical guns and ammo have dried up and/or are being hoarded. Hell, even normal ammo prices are kinda nuts right now which makes it hard to hobby shoot for most people.

And while all of this is great, it's only specifically for ARs. We've reached a point of convergent evolution in the firearms market both with long guns and with handguns. Which is fantastic for a buyer since it means you can get solid quality hardware anywhere for little money but it sucks for the hobbyist by making anything outside the orthodoxy harder to find and more expensive for what is honestly just a curio piece.

Moreso with the gun normies and causals wanting one or two ubiquitous gun types and calibers for the proverbial SHTF situation. God forbid anyone is allowed to have a non ubiquitous range and or hobby gun or two.

While part of me retains hope that the great boomer dieoff will flood the market with cool shit again, there will probably be some big push for them to bequeath their collections for the banks, like they are doing with houses.

And even if they don't their kids/grandkids aren't going to just sell the damn things on the open market. It's going to be estate auctions straight into some other boomers hoard or the things are getting turned into the police.

Norwood VI, trip to Turkey for hair plug surgery imminent.

I still think the Sig Spear is gay and retarded.

All the shit you guys were posting about Ivan a bit ago just bums me out. Like obviously he's a guy that can make good presentations and does a lot of research but gets way too up his own ass and dives head first into retarded semantics arguments. If he could be less of a cunt I might watch him again but like the first time he caught shit in this thread he really lost me with his vindictive bullshit. He was going after some chick who liked posting target videos of her shotgun I think and also had to shoot left-handed because she didn't have full use of her right arm. Such a cunt. Depending on the hobby you could forgive some of this shit but being a diva in the guntuber world might actually be gayer than doing it anywhere else.

Also, Brownells is fucking retarded for even trying to make peace with the guy. They should have kept those DMs up where he's obviously trying to extort them.

I like watching Backfire occasionally because he didn't have the worst takes in the world, but after easing himself into the hunting equivalent of long range PRS(600 yard shots on game is wild) he's been getting into the habit of amping up the marginal increase in performance for each new flavor of the month SAAMI-sponsored wildcat.

Whenever Ivan's antics were brought up, Othais chimed in to suppose that he(Ivan) and Matt engage in new age internet humor but I feel that's the cope typing for him. He(Ivan) pursues nobodies on Twitter for hours at a time over semantics similar to that of the clip vs. magazine debacle they saw as pointless and in a similar fashion they derided as self-defeating, so I feel that allows me to say he is a massive gay retard.

the ultra long range hunting bros really rub me wrong because the the vast, vast, vast majority of shooters CANNOT MAKE A ETHICAL SHOT AT 300 much less 600! call me a fudd but i like to give my targets a chance to beat me. I like to put in a stalk and slip up as close as i can.

its going to lead to wounded game that is never recovered. at that distance you have to make a kill shot. you have to essentially hit a pie plate sized vital area to make sure the target dies fairly quickly. if you don't and the thing is able to run you'll never ever find it. even if it dies later. especially out west where these people usually are, where it could take an hour or two to climb down and up a valley or canyon. no chance of getting tracking dogs in there in a reasonable time.

and these cartridges man, they are just not worth it IMO. your barrel is toast with these overbore monstrosities in short order, but i guess that's the point. the manufacturers are getting you to double dip. plus none of them are doing anything new. I haven't studied on the 25 creed but i'm guessing it's not doing much more than the elderly .25-06 did, like the 6.5 creed doesn't do much more than the 6.5x55.

It's cope or he thinks it's ironic because he's, "an old unc" as the kids would say. I've not seen their Discord posting habits but I feel like arguing over stupid shit on Twitter for hours isn't an ironic bit. Especially when it's semantics. Ivan does like arguing though, perhaps he should have been a lawyer.
