I’m convinced they’re still friends but Ian has done solo videos (including 2-gun competitions) that even six months ago he would have almost certainly collaborated with Karl on. If he’s too busy for InRange, it’s because he’s choosing to make his own stuff that he would have previously collaborated on.

All external signs point to trouble in paradise.

I watched his Q&A today where he was singing the praises of Atun-Shei again, who is a borderline breadtube YouTuber, who makes historical videos based in New Orleans. He's got a surge in numbers recently since the statues started coming down, because he's been calling for it for years.

It used to be pretty okay, actually. Mods suck though. One of the mods is a NZ Kiwi and would talk mad shit about how 'bad' (as in too restrictive due to NFA provisions) US gun laws were then had a total mental breakdown once Jacinda got done pegging his rights, now he's in total lockstep with Karl. Over time, like any place with shit mods the bad crept in.

The problem right now though is there's an actual brain drain going on as people speak up about Karl and then discover they're not the only ones to feel that way. Also there was a minor Commie invasion around the time of the original Floyd riots that mods didn't Pinochet hard enough. With brain drains comes fragmentation, of course, and I know of at least one private Inrange Exile server now.

Got no idea, I only skim this stuff (or receive digests from my source, I don't talk sources and methods even for something this minor). Karl was apparently blasted that IV1488 was buddies with Othias of C&Rsenal. I wonder, actually - Othias was supposedly oldschool SA, wonder how he gets on there now too. Also this thread really needs to be Guntuber General, though I fear stuff like this might get drowned out in the much more retarded normal drama of the genre.

You've probably got it. It could be as simple as Ian doesn't want his FW content (which is designed to be around long term, unlike the more topical inrange) to be sullied by masks, which would both dilute the Ian Goatee brand and just look silly ten years from now. I hope.

That's funny. Karl has to know the majority of his viewership only comes from Gun Jesus fans so despite his colossal ego he can't admit that Ian doesn't like to be around him anymore. And it's much for the same reason as to why his Youtube is stagnant. People don't like power tripping extremists. What a shocker.

C&rsenal is interesting, because Othias has a fairly large crew working for him (much larger than you'd expect from a channel that size), and everybody is apparently quite happy. He's done well produced collaborations with other YouTube channels, and introduced the world to Mark Novak.

Ian is still a one man band, and it seems strange that he's still doing his own audio and video editing when he's making that much money. Karl of course brought his 'Girfriend' on as a producer which has had nothing but positive results.

I still think Karl's best bet would have been to up his production values and start producing historical content. His Columbus new mexico, and prison camp massacre videos were pretty interesting and could find an audience if his camera work wasn't so shit. Since he's brought her on as a producer his audio is also shit.
