The film looks terrible but I love these anti's acting like this is the end of any integrity in media and it's the dawn of the feminazi takeover.

It's a bad cashgrab movie reboot, nothing new or particularly harmful.

Also I think it's hilarious people are saying "they remade Evil Dead" and fanboys didn't complain.

Are you kidding me? People were fucking HOWLING at the idea of an Evil Dead without Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell attached to it. And when Ashton Kutcher's name was attached as lead? It made the anti-gun salt like fucking praises. Even when he dropped out and it was announced it'd be a female lead and unknown director who hadn't made a movie before people were wishing them AIDS and chainsaw castrations.

The one difference is that it had a great trailer that calmed people down a little bit but still tons of bitching.

Then the movie came out and everyone was like "Oh. It's actually pretty good". But yeah the nerd rage at it was even worse than the fucking Dawn of the Dead remake

I cringed so hard at that segment, i think I broke a rib. If Feig wanted to prove that women are funnier than women, then he succeeded. They were 100% funnier than him just standing around while he made an embarrassment of himself in that clown outfit.

I'm just so gobsmacked by the amount of people who made that lazy cash grab their hill to die on. Rest assured ladies, when the film flops, this will not mean that women will be barred from performing in movies FOREVER! It just means that no one will trust Paul Feig with an established multi-million dollar franchise ever again.

And we've been in the golden age of television since oz/the sopranos what is wrong with you?

Do you go out of your way not to watch good stuff and complain there isn't any quality out there?

They also used Burton's Planet of the Apes as an example. Did they even see all the backlash for that ending that confused and pissed people off so much, they had to include a card with the explanation with the dvd?
 
If any good can come out of this flopping it'll either be a lesson on how movie staff should conduct themselves online or maybe a halt to all these fucking remakes.

I'll admit I haven't owned a tv in years and I'm very unattached from mainstream opinion but are remakes what the average person demanding?
 
The IMDb user score for Ghostbusters currently is 3.7 with almost 60% of votes being a 1 and almost 20% of votes being a 10. That puts it almost a whole point beneath Fantastic Four and just barely above the Catwoman movie. The IMDb message board for GB is a barely-moderated free-for-all shitfest of angry feminazis and misogynerds duking it out right now. I imagine it will get even crazier when Ghostbusters opens in the US on Friday.
 
It's a mediocre movie that the internet has lost it's mind over. It will be forgotten about by this time next week outside of keyboard warriors.
 
The cast and director apparently did an interview on the Today Show earlier.
