Off-topic, but what's Simon Pegg done to -Is he pulling a simon pegg and trying to alienate his fanbase.
Actually, no I don't want to know. This thread's made me lose respect for too many people already.

His comebacks are only slightly above the level of Campbell Morton's. And Campbell had autism to fall back on.Linehan and another user got into an argument over the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.

How the fuck did Father Ted succeed with that twat in charge?
To be fair Arthur Mathews wrote a lot of it.
Hes always worked with good co writers until recently.....and it tells.

Yeah, and Black Books was written with Dylan Moran and he left after the first season. The show didn't suffer at all and some might say it got funnier. To be fair Arthur Mathews wrote a lot of it.

I'd say he's more of a Mel Brooks: had the good fortune of working with very talented people, and when he's on his own he produces crap like The Walshes in the same way Mel Brooks produced rubbish like Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Dracula: Dead and Loving It when he didn't have Richard Pryor or Gene Wilder to fall back on. Except Mel Brooks is actually likeable as a person, so maybe the Hayden Black comparison works better.Graham Linehan-The proto-Hayden Black.
Probably because it existed pre-social media, so Linehan never had the chance to fall into the echo-chamber.
It also 20 years ago, that's a not dissimilar time frame of Ben Elton going from outspoken left-wing comedy writer supremo to mainstream musical writer who also now writes poor/average comedy sitcoms on the side.
Has he tried to latch onto the post-IT Crowd fame of any of the IT Crowd actors? I know Richard Ayoade and Chris O'Dowd have become incredibly successful in recent years and I know Linehan follows both of them on twitter.

Don't think so. Katherine Parkinson has done alright for herself too, but I doubt Graham wants that Malteasers money, Noel Fielding and Chris Morris were already successful beforehand and Matt Berry has buddied up to Vic And Bob, stalwarts of laddish comedy.
Matt Berry was kind of successful beforehand too, he'd been on The Mighty Boosh and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Oh and he co-created Snuff Box with Rich Fulcher.
I thought the hosts for The Sky At Night were Brian Cox and Dara O'Briain?
The one time I tuned in, shortly after Moore died, the main hosting duty was undertaken by (I had to look it up) Margaret Ebunoluwa "Maggie" Aderin-Pocock. And she was indeed dressed like a deck chair.

All Father Ted fans that don't like him any more are "racists" now.
Well maybe just stick to Boosh season 1 that other seasons are a bit all over the place
Off topic - I actually started with season 3 because I got into it back in 2008, not long after season 3 had just come out. Season 1 is the only one I don't personally like, it's not as wacky as the later seasons and is too plot based in my opinion.
