Careercow Glinner / Graham Linehan - Disgraced Comedian, Mentally Ill to the point of worrying his Family, Hypocritical Misogynist, TERF ANTIFA Quasimodo Doppelganger w/ One Ball & Hateboner for GAMERS/Trump/Brexit/Count Dankula; #ThanksGraham

He also appeared on Charlie Brooker's Gameswipe special. You can actually see the beginnings of an anti-Gamergater/Anita Sarkeesian supporter if you listen to his comments towards GTA and Red Dead Redemption but it'd be disingenuous to say he didn't have some good points. Go to 00:34 for his appearance.

He also did the introduction to Charlie Brooker's book Screenburn which was really funny so this truly is a case of how the mighty have fallen. From what I understand, Brooker's been quietly trying to distance himself from him, but I haven't checked that out.

The crux of it is Brooker is a long term gamer with no signs of changing.
Even when hes critical of things within the industry hes not getting mad at people.
Brookers persona as being somewhat rude and opinionated doesnt exist in the real world.
Hes also a respected writer of both serious drama (black mirror) and comedy.
Were as his old mate graham is theae days the SJW that wrote father ted....and hates it now and is reduced to yelling at people online and demanding to be taken seriously.

So lineham finally made it here.

He reminds me of those socially awkward fat brit kids you used to see at school. The ones who had drawstring bags as backpacks, wore generic t-shirts, black jogging bottoms and budget running shoes their parents bought despite their weebly ass ever running in their life.

It sorta makes sense he's latching onto the special snowflake crowd, he's been useless for ages and craving for the attention he never got when he was younger.

To be fair to the BBC as much as we may joke about Maggie's questionable fashion sense, the relaunch of the show with a legit lady space scientist and putting Linott (a Professor of fricken Astrophysics) into the primary chair after the latter had co-presenting with Moore for a while was a really good idea, and it has kept the show on air and seen a mild increase in its viewing figures.

Oh, I know. I realize she's a proper scientist. It's just so eye-rollingly BBC-2015, replacing an elderly white Englishman sporting a monocle with a young African woman who dresses like a psychedelic Korker's sausage.

I just read a couple pages of @glinner's Twitter hoping to end my comment on topic, but I can't even.

Well... who do you think Moore would've wanted? Someone just like him, or a professional in her field?

His monacles by the end weren't even british, by the by, he had to get them specially made in Southern Germany and they stopped making them for him back in about 2010.

Like I said, Maggie is great and she's a brilliant presenter. Her background (beyond professional) should really have nothing to do with it.

Lineham is still a complete twat, and so irrelevant even as a lolcow we're busy waffling about the finer points of a notable scientist.

How much does the dozy twat fail when we resort to that?

Here's something to consider, his current show Count Arthur Strong with Delaney, here's a description of the count himself:

Count Arthur Strong, an elderly, pompous, out-of-work actor from Doncaster with delusions that he is a show-business legend.

...sounds familiar doesn't it?

It's a Gallant and Goofus thing with Brooker and Lineham. One of them went on to do Black Mirror, a show that's satiric, terrifying, and has a good shot at being this generation's Twilight Zone, while the other started off respected, but now embarrasses himself on Twitter and made two sitcoms nobody liked/watched.

Count Arthur Strong

I remember listening to that on Radio 4 in the comedy slot at 6.30 on the way home. It was about as funny as your finger going through the bog paper.

Which is a pity, because many Radio 4 comedies would make far better TV shows - Ed Reardon's Week, Heresy, News at Bedtime...

One of them wrote the best review of "big rigs unleashed" ever and the ever thirsts for girl cock.

Alright guys, I updated the OP, what do you think?
Nice work. @AnOminous once said that retroactively deciding someone's early work was shit just because you don't like their current politics is the height of hipster bullshit and I couldn't agree more (even though I was the one who caused him to say that :\) so it's good the new OP doesn't do that. Also, it'll make him look incredibly stupid if he ever discovers this thread and chooses to whine about it. We've been fair.

Would Christopher Douglas be able to scowl as much as Ed sounds like he does? And would we have to CGI in Elgar the cat?

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a TV adaptation of My First Planet with Nick Lyndhearst.
