Chris fought street gangs to avenge his family and Goose. Plus he saved a bunch of feral kids.

EDIT: My mistake. I was thinking of Mel Gibson in the Mad Max films. Sorry.

I don't think there's any good things about Chris other than the cautionary tale and his early antics entertained many on the internet.
Things that Chris made look bad:

1. Sonic
2. People with autism
3. Bronies (worse than they already are)
4. Pokemon

He had some genuinely good moments, like when he set up a virtual lemonade stand for a charity. And he is probably rehabilitating an entire wing of his current jail, the possibility of being stuck in a cell with Chris for years is enough to make even dedicated mobsters go clean lol!

He tells fun jokes
Chris does have a gift of being fucking hilarious on accident, he comes up with shit like "Jail of Fail", "Kick the Autistic", "My wooden badge was delicious!" on the spot and it's fucking hilarious lol!

I change my answer. I was talking to a friend about Chris and he said that the one good thing about Chris is his "Artistic Integrity". I am inclined to agree, Chris was always very strict on his "hand drawn style" well into the 2010s, and believed real comics should be hand drawn or are superior if they are hand drawn and snubbed newer, more efficient ways of creating comic artwork. I have to give him a tip of my conical hat in that regard. All too easy toe succumb to popular or easier ways of doing things instead of holding fast to your classic style.

A fine cut turd is still a turd.

Reminder of the fact no matter how bad things are in your life, at least you aren't Christian Weston Chandler.
Forget about your petty internet fuck ups
No matter how autistic you might be.
How poor you are.
Or unemployed
Just think back and remember that you can't fuck up your life badly as Chris

Chris Chan's most astounding quality is that every single thing about him is funny. When a comedian gets off stage and goes home, he stops being funny. He eats his dinner, he kisses his kids goodnight. Chris Chan never stops being funny. He goes home from his love quest to try on woman's underwear, then complains about trolls in over-the-top ranting videos. He then eats his burger king and makes a post about how fitness is important. He kisses his electric hedgehog pokemon imaginary boyfriend to sleep.

The funniness of Chris Chan is infinitely divisible. Anything he does is inherently funny. He's like some sort of human intermediary with the Platonic ideal of comedy.

I'll give a genuine attempt instead of the same tired jokes. Maybe these points have been covered in the thread already but fuck it.

Chris actually is a very creative person, and seems to understand the principles of storytelling and entertaining. He just directs his creativity into a medium he sucks at most of the time. Chris's Animal Crossing videos were pretty ahead of their time, and there isn't really anything spergy in them compared to Sonichu or the Autism Tutorial. Of course, it's Chris's ego at fault. He definitely had the ability to make a factual, entertaining video about autism in LittleBigPlanet but said fuck it and decided "people care about my hatred of Mary Lee Walsh and Aspergers way more."

On a similar note, Chris seems to be pretty technologically proficient, all things considered. He made his own websites. He filmed, edited, and uploaded his own home videos. He recorded stop motion videos. He recorded 2 Let's Plays in a time when that WASN'T A THING(there were screenshot walkthroughs and trick guides/compilations, but not long form LP content). I know a lot of these things seem trivial in the age of Youtube and Google making it easy to learn something in 10 seconds, but this was the early 2000s.

So yeah. There's 2 good things about Chris. Before his ego got out of control he was genuinely creative, and he was technologically proficient.

What are you talking about? He's absolutely awful at delivering the stuff in his mind to a third person. That's why Cwcki has to analyze and explain his Sonichu comics.

He has never edited a video in his lifetime. All of his videos are raw recordings. The most he did was pausing recording and resuming it with the playstation controller.

Reminder, Bob was an engineer until retirement and Barb was apparently a standout high school student who went to college as a woman in the early 60s which was not a default expectation. They're not poorly educated at all, and they raised him in a school system that has plenty of options and support available for special ed, they're just obstinate, emotionally ill people who thought that "only retards need exceptional individual class, therefore if we don't put him in the exceptional individual class he must be normal."
It's because his white trash parents thought that his autism would "just go away on it's own" if they kept him in a mainstream school, and look how that turned out.

Calm down brah. I'm not some white knight defending everything Chris has done.

I specifically said Chris directs his creativity into mediums he sucks at, such as the comic. Chris likes to be very wordy and long winded and thinks he is eloquent. This lends itself to long form content like the Anal(i meant Animal but I'm leaving this typo) Crossing videos. Umfortunately Chris decided to focus on a comic as his creative outlet, and just cram walls of text into it in order to get all of his ideas out.

When I say editing I mean the bare minimum editing required to make his home videos and cut together Yep, I'm On Tv. It's literally just cuts, with no keyframing or anything, but it is still something that in the early 2000s your aunt or cousin or church acquaintance would walk up to you and say "ooh you're good with them camera thingies, right Chris?"

I am not saying Chris is a genius with technology. I said he is proficient. He doesn't need to ask for help. Considering how many people, even in 2021, get confused by the most basic AV or computer issues, I'd say being proficient enough to not ask for help is a good quality in an autismo.

I was under the impression this thread was to try and find the rare good things about Chris. Apparently I was mistaken.

nothing good about him
After pondering whether there was anything at all good about Chris for a long time, I finally just thought of one good thing. Chris is extraordinarily disgustingly morbidly obese, so he will provide a lot of food for the worms when he dies.

That is the only "good" thing about Chris.

Realistically Chris will be cremated when he dies, thus the only thing his fat will contribute to is global warming.
