They should quit hiring engineers. Hire more troon studies majors and other worthless shit like that, see where your business goes.

That sort of mentality worked out amazingly for Yahoo. They wasted a billion dollars on Tumblr, a platform they absolutely cannot make profitable, axed services and sites people, including corporate clients, were using; and are continually in a "will they go bust this year?" limbo perpetuated only by the perceived value of their brand.

I don't think Google will go as drastically full-Yahoo as quickly as Yahoo did, but look at how that company is functioning and acting now; that's likely the future for all of the current big players if this sort of witch hunt culture continues in tech.

Google, as a company, is like a child prodigy hyped up on pixy stix. When they put their mind to something, it almost always turns out amazing and exceeds everyone's wildest expectations. However, if it doesn't pan out, it's almost immediately forgotten and they kick it into a corner, never to be seen again (Deja, Glass, etc.) It seems, at least to an outsider, that Google is eager to try new ideas, but gives them very little time for those ideas to prove themselves before deciding if they make the cut from "side project" to "serious project".

With that kind of mentality, I'm thinking that once this REEEEfest dies down, Google will quietly go back to whatever works best. For now, they just have to weather the PR storm.

Jim/Mister Metokur's got a video on this in the works. Should be good, I've liked his recent TGWTG and Internet Insanity videos.

Google is mostly an ad company. Anything they do that is "innovative" outside of the core business is usually an attempt to further solidify either ads or data mining for advertisers.

Yahoo was fucked before they bought Tumblr, and they didn't buy Tumblr for sjw points. They bought it to try to prove they were still relevant. It was grandstanding that didn't pan out. Like when Fox bought MySpace, and it died within a few years.

He just needs practice on perspective... or he has microcephalia models.
Anyways I bet you is better than any "noodle arms/Grinning potatoe" tumblrinas do.

Saying Jim is fun because of Internet Insanity is like saying Cinema Snob is good because of the movies he reviews, or even this site.
Is not fun, is a fucking trainwreck of entertainment.

You mean when they put their minds to something. Lots of those minds are fucking white males who are already working out their escape plan. They can't do brilliant shit with a bunch of troon studies majors and people with no abilities at all who do nothing but chimp out all day about microaggressions.

Lulz at the notion that every nerd, or even most of the nerds at Google want to do or will ever get to do brilliant shit, or that the brilliant shit department is being held back by troons. Google is huge, and a lot of the work there is keeping deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeply boring shit up and running. For every brilliant nerd at the DNA sequencing project, there are 50 people doing automated ETL for pop ups for boner pills, or watching scripts run, or baby sitting servers.

The best thing about this is watching how insanely blown up it is. This was the top headline on CNN.com Sunday night. Some fucking nobody with an HR problem. The world has lost it's damned mind.

He might be kicked off Patreon if he decides to take the kid gloves off.

I suppose you are right, but if you are the weedy white guy manning the viagra pills banners, good luck ever dreaming of moving up to manning the porn banners server.

Google's not going anywhere.
They're practically a fourth branch of the US govt.

Intelligence, surveillance, international pressure, money, zero accountability.
Google is "their" ideal weapon.
You can see it in the arab spring, you can see it in the suppression of political ideology through youtube and pagerank.

It seems like the fake news is dying down today though as actual academics step up and validate the data and scholarship of his arguments.
So maybe this was a small victory towards preventing radlefts from getting too influential at the helm.

I've read the manifesto. It's a very milquetoast set of suggestions to deal with diversity problems without having to enforce racial and gender quotas, stuff like "women get more stressed and are less competitive so there should be some safe space for cooperative work where they can go". It also uses many cucky expressions like " unfortunately" to explain differences in productivity that are derived from biology. The dude thought he could appease SJWs enough through submissive language that they would at least be able to read the text without turning into raging apes.

What the author didn't realize is that for white men, nothing less than complete and total submission to the long and hooked nose of political correctness is allowed, and even a mild list of suggestions like this is on the same level as a list of reasons why Hitler was right.
And yet, they probably go out of there way to cover up any wrongdoing by their precious dothead, piss skinned, goatfucking imported workers.

Of course not. Google isn't actually run by a woman hellbent on firing as many men as possible and hiring almost exclusively women to replace them.

Look who makes a video making fun of the salt while simultaneously being salty at the same time.

Imagine My Shock.

This is all true. Go read Assange's When Google Met Wikileaks. It's all in there, and it's scary as hell.
