It's relevant. The homeless community is a hunter gatherer society, and guess where Chris is eventually going after all these hearings?
Do they actually hunt?

Aside from for victims and pocket change and such.

Do they trap/catch vermin or attempt to kill and eat larger feral/urban creatures?

Not taking the piss. I have reliably heard of migrant workers, specifically brought to the north of Scandinavia to pick berries, trapping and eating small birds when the gangmasters refuse to pay or provide them food due to late berry seasons.
It's a situation of basically no one local wanting to do this work due to its very seasonal nature, isolation even by their standards, and criminally low pay.
They typically ship far easterners for autumn, put them up in literal shacks, and pay them by the kilo/punnet.
When there is a late-season, they cannot work and so have to resort to scavenging and trapping. They will be so deep in the wilderness that there won't even be anything close to a town with a soup kitchen or church.
I know they are not technically homeless, but these are pretty similar conditions.

Also, you said before about "ways to smoke drugs" and are "cannabis dispensaries profitable due to kids growing weed in cupboards." To paraphrase as I am to lazy to find the quotes!

Any drug can be smoked or inhaled as a vapor, it is just more efficient with some drugs to smoke it, and with others to ingest it.

Some people put cocaine in their joints for instance, but that is considered expensive and wasteful.
It does not have the same effect as snorting a line but adds a bit of an upper to a joint, thus some people do it if they like to be stoned while out and about, but don't want to mong out on a couch in a bar.

Smoking Heroin is called "chasing the dragon". It is normally done by boiling the heroin on tin foil with a cigarette lighter and is inhaled with a tube.
Many junkies start off this way, but progress to shooting up once their dependence and tolerance increases that they need the efficiency of shooting up.

People can make alcohol in their bathtubs or in-home stills, but there are still shops selling alcoholic drinks and of course bars and restaurants.

SImilarly to growing weed in one's cupboard, home brewing or distillation takes time and the end result works but is not as good as that which is made professionally.
Also supply. One can buy a 24 pack of beer or 6 bottles of whiskey from a booze shop every day. Distilling or brewing that needs a professional operation.

Same with buying 10 grams of weed a day. Growing that much takes months and a large-scale operation.

Weed/Hash whatever is nice when you have a place to live and somewhere warm to sit and sleep when tired and of course if you have access to a microwave or cheap takeaway.

When you are on the streets, it takes the edge off but makes things harder to do, plus it increases hunger.

Alcohol and heroin are far better "painkillers" for the desperation of living on the streets. Both also reduce hunger. Heroin even can totally eliminate the feeling of need for food, which is why in junky-infested squats, bags of sugar and sweets are usually the only food around.
The sugar keeps them going, and is about the only thing they can stomach.

Due to some personal issues which I have long since, and continue to, work on, life got away from me for a bit.

Being too "proud" to ask for help from relatives at the time, I ended up living in a squat, thinking it would be a productive way to pay off debt by saving money on rent.
I did have a job, a shit job, but a legal tax-paying job nonetheless.

During this period I had direct experience with various serious drug addicts and other people who had massively given up on themselves.

I do not recommend this to anyone, and I certainly am not trying to make out I am "cool" or bohemian. It was an awful mistake.

Even then it would be some slow-in-the-mind spinster whose parents are desperate to get her out of their household. And then only if there's a high labor mortality rate among the males.

In such societies, such girls tend to marry older men who have already killed off one or two previous wives in childbirth.

Men have a higher natural birth rate (105:100), but if they take on the higher risk occupations, as well as wars, etc., then women can outnumber men fairly early in life, and if you practice strict monogamy, then there's usually a wife for every man, even if the successful older men pick up new ones after their wives die in childbirth.

Basically as long as you're killing off 10%+ of your male population before the age of 30 through wars and occupational hazards, you've got enough women for everyone to be about evenly matched up.

But yeah. Obviously Chris would not have a great wife, but he'd have a wife, if for no other reason for the wife's family to not have to feed her anymore. And since Chris would have grown up without consumerism, he would be used to (grudgingly) having to work.

I'm guessing he will be released under time served. Still a year in jail followed by the homeless saga could be interesting. Personally I'm actually looking forward to the homeless saga I mean think about it. For the first time ever in his life he will be thrown out into the world without a safety net. For many years everybody has speculated what would happen in various scenarios to Chris in the case that a safety net would not be provided for him and now we will finally get an answer.

But how will we know what’s happening? I know some homeless people figure shit out and use the internet, but Chris is stupid.

Chris is a mere consumer.

You mean a COOMsumer?

But how will we know what’s happening? I know some homeless people figure shit out and use the internet, but Chris is stupid.

Depending on the type of homeless quite a few have internet access from my experience.

Mostly either an Obama phone (heard they changed the programs name) or any government assistance they spend it on a simple phone plan. You could also get a cheap jail broken and bum out at places with free wifi. Those who do normally aren't on hard drugs and are just down on their luck.

Chris also knows about the local library so unless he's causing problems. He will somehow someway gain access to the internet. Even if he's limited/restricted.

Thats assuming he avoids sor, I'm pretty sure the library will be near the top on the list of places Chris has to stay 500 feet away from if they slap him with sor.

No, libraries are vital public services.

EDIT: While that's a 10th circuit decision and doesn't directly affect Virginia, it does inform legislation in the future. Virginia's SOR statute does not prohibit registered offenders from libraries, though individual cities have tried to add to that (Chesapeake tried in the past).

You can get a straight talk phone for like 20 bucks at Walmart. Nothing special just your average run of the mill smartphone. Most likely a ween will donate one to him. Then he will do what most homeless people do go to McDonald's and use the internet or Burger King or Denny's really the interesting thing about modern society is there's free Wi-Fi everywhere. In my city every homeless guy has a cheap smartphone. For a while there the Obama administration was giving away cheap smartphones. The homeless will walk around town do their thing but every time they would pass a fast food place you have quickly log on to Facebook or different apps for texting do their business and then move on.

That's sure to happen. No way Walmart can allow to let Chris in, knowing what he did to his mom.

He's already banned from a couple of the local Walmarts (including the Ruckersville one) anyway.

Walmart doesn't ban sex offenders though, unless they cause problems. He can go shop at one he isn't banned from already as long as he behaves.

If Walmart were in the habit of banning incestuous people, that would be a large percentage of their customer base!

I like the discussion about the way pre-industrial societies cared for mentally ill and physically disabled children, I'd just like to point out in less civilised parts of the world this sort of thing still happens sadly, in some parts of the world it doesn't even have to be a disability it could just be your sex.

As bad as it sound's Chris poses a much more serious threat to them if they came into contact with him, those guy's live isolated on a island and have 0 contact with the outside world so any infection he'd be holding off naturally even asymptomatically could prove fatal to them, from what I recall they don't approach the people they have killed they leave them on the beach as a message and drop them with arrows.

Now that I say it, I wonder if they managed to put 2 and 2 together from previous encounters and that's why they kill at range and don't approach.
Back in 1880 six Sentinelese people were captured in an attempt to establish contact. The two adults of the group died quickly and the four children also became sick, so they were returned to the island. It's possible that the Sentinelese people remember this event in their oral history or simply teach their kids that any contact with outsiders brings sickness and death.

And think what their cautionary tale would be if they encountered Chris.

That would ensure no contact for a thousand years or more!

Obviously Chris would not have a great wife, but he'd have a wife,

It is far, FAR more likely he'd be part of the 10%+.

Also genetic studies have shown the male reproductive rate is far, far below the remaining 90%-.

Even if Chris did manage to survive long enough, and even if he did have an (arranged) marriage, and even if his wife was as ugly and awful as he is, he'd still be cucked to the moon and back.

You mean a COOMsumer?

I mean Chris is a bottom feeder. In every possible sense of the term.

You could also get a cheap jail broken and bum out at places with free wifi.

Obamaphones are crap phones, but they have wifi. Chris would, per usual, buy a cup at McDonalds and spend the day using their wifi and drinking free refills. At least until his phone gets stolen.

I'm pretty sure the library will be near the top on the list of places Chris has to stay 500 feet away from if they slap him with sor.

At most he'd be required to stay out of the children's section, which is usually placed far away from the free internet computers. That said, there's not a lot at a public library (books) that would appeal to Chris. He's far more likely to sponge the free wireless from a fast food establishment, which do have things that appeal to Chris (grease, sugar, salt, starch etc.).

No way Walmart can allow to let Chris in, knowing what he did to his mom.

Walmart doesn't turn away sales because of incest.

Chris is already banned from Walmart, but for things he did to Walmart.

And think what their cautionary tale would be if they encountered Chris.

Would there be any survivors to tell it? Lord knows what Chris has festering away in that carcass of his.

I probably expecting a either a continuance or something different but this is Chris we are talking about probably the latter
