I already had to put up with a story about a filthy dirty White bank robber being cucked by his whore wife and robbed by his own kids while being told by a fucking therapist that it's all okay and he should be meek and not seek revenge, and still being asked to view him as a worthy protagonist. Why? GTA Online prints more money than the US Mint. I suspect Rockstar could carry on for years with positive cash flow by doing nothing but coasting on GTA Online's revenue.

I don't know how all the satire and assorted references only going in one direction is going to be anything other than annoying for people that don't already have a Californian slave mindset.

To be clear, here's what i think is going to happen: when the game launches broken and "underperforms" (and by that i mean rakes in billions of dollars, but not as many billions of dollars as they were able to milk 5 for because the multiplayer will be a flash in the pan a-la RDR2) this will result in mass firings because they spent 2+ billion on the game, and cause a cascading failure in the AAA western gaming industry.

Does anyone have any faith in this game being good? Like for real, there is no way they live up to the hype. GTA peaked on San Andreas.

Their fucking engine is absolute, I hate how the movement and driving in IV and V feel. Not to mention how they refuse to port their shit to PC correctly it took years for some modder to fix a slowdown caused by simple oversight.

I don’t care how well it sells, this game isn’t breaking even, unless the Multiplayer and all it’s MTX are there from Day 1.

I know GTA Online and Red Dead Online were released a month or so after. I can see them releasing the multiplayer on release day. If all the microtransactions are out the gate, that would definitely mess up their economy. Less people, less money, less ROI.

I can't say. The only GTA game I liked was Chinatown Wars.
