The culture war has shifted pretty severely in favor of the Chuds in the last couple years. I think Rockstar is getting worried that a tough Latina single mother protagonist isn't going to be a hit with people who actually play videogames. Nice write ups in progressive e mags aren't sales.

It won't matter. Their money maker is GTAO. The main character could be a gay disabled tranny nigger and they'll still make bank off of MTX and people purchasing the game for the multiplayer. I'm sure the monetization will be even worse since they have the opportunity to build the online from the ground up with parting retards from their money through MTX this time around.

If anything else, I’m willing to argue that we haven’t seen any real confirmation that GTA VI was given a real date until now. This should not be a shock to anyone involved.

The only consolation is that I no longer will have to see “*insert random quirky reference here* gets this before GTA 6” along with fake GTA fan pages speculating over when the next trailer release date is.

If anything else, I’m willing to argue that we haven’t seen any real confirmation that GTA IV was given a real date until now. This should not be a shock to anyone involved.

Their last 2 games they announced had delays if I remember right, though not by a full year. GTA V was supposed to be spring of 2013, delayed to September that year, and RDR2 was mostly the same with middle of 2018 delayed to October 2018.

Thats what I love about the current devs of GTA, they dont know what GTA is anymore other than a giant money printing machine that they can put minimal effort into and get a massive payout. Definately think youre right, they know this one is going to not last them as long as 5

They have such an interesting catalogue of IPs that they could draw upon for new games that sorely need sequels or more content but they are insistant that everything needs to be their big money makers. The don't need to remove any woke bullshit because the masses will buy any slop rockstar shits out at release. I haven't kept up with GTA 6 so I'm probably way off base, but I wouldn't be surprised if the delays are purely to get the online component as marketable as possible so they can continue to drain retards from their money. They fucked that up with RDR Online and they aren't going to make the same mistake with this one.

Thats sort of what Im hoping, but rockstar is owned by Take Two which has vanguard and blackrock as large owners.
