If GTA 6 does take inspiration from media outside of Bonnie & Clyde, I would guess it would be from shows like Power or Atlanta. You know, those Black-centric crime drama shows.
Haven't seen either but I do like Glover so maybe I should check out Atlanta.

I just hope it doesn't have denuvo and always online requirement.
You know it will. Gotta squeeze those 100 dollars out of every person possible

I'd really like to see some of the old characters make appearances or be referenced, and how they're holding up after almost 20 years.
DeadJohnny-GTAV.webp

You sure?

Would be based if Trevor went on one of his threatening rants and someone just shot him in the face
I find a little funny that with how politically correct Rockstar has tried to be in recent years that they would do something unintentionally based like that under the pretense of doing it because "muh white male fantasy"

I say we have a 15% chance of it happening. Personally I just assume he get merced after the events of V, I don't think of Online as canon.

He should just died in V since Option C should've never existed in the first place and you'd have to be a real prick to pick Option B. Really I think Option C should've had all the protags dying.

I don't think it's fair to call GTA Online a cash grab considering it costs literally nothing and is a bonus on top of a full singleplayer game. It gets minimal updates, but there is no subscription fee. Some of the updates are quite nice. All the heists were pretty cool, especially the Casino Heist and the Doomsday Heist, and the general story around Avon. Selling ingame money and GTA+ are things I don't like, but quite honestly, I don't get the mentality of someone, who would even consider spending real money on ingame currency. Money is easy enough to make in the game. At times you can earn a lot through certain activities. There's even passive income. You can literally make a million or two a day just from playing the game however way you want to and looting your safe.
From my experience, it's a grind that encourages spending money on Shark Cards to bypass the obvious pay gates. Even with the PvE missions, enemies love to cheat by becoming invisible, increasing their rate of fire, and having more health than normal. The only way I was able to afford a high-end apartment and a garage was from the stimulus package they gave to players because of the bad launch.

Originally Franklin dies in option C and let Lamar takes his place in the post-game, like R* did with John and Jack in RDR1 (or Arthur with John in RDR2).

Not a bad idea since Lamar was easily the best side character. But again at that point the only good option to kill is Trevor.

After watching the trailer I maintain my original thoughts: The game isn't going to be overtly woke. Its just going to be inoffensive. They might have a jab or two here or there at both sides of the poltilical/cultural isle but in both cases its gonna be toothless. It'll be pretty. The shooting will be aiite. The story will probably be decent-good. But it won't have a soul.

But GTA 5 didn't really have a soul either, not compared to things like IV or San Andreas.

The entire game shows over and over that Trevor is a completely unstable self-destructive monster, his ONLY kinda sorta redeeming quality is tiny glimpses of loyalty he feels towards Michaels kids.

Killing him is the only logical choice for both Michael and Franklin. He's a liability, and even if he lives he's eventually going to fuck everything up and get them killed.

A liability how exactly? I get Michael because Trevor was able to unearth Michael's "witness protection" scheme with the FIB. I'm sure the FIB did not like Trevor since he was a loose cannon. But how was he a liability to Franklin? Only explanation I could think of is that if shit hits the fan between Michael and Trevor, Franklin would be obligated to bail him out and choose a side.

Apart i never liked Steve Haines.
Trevor deserved direct confrontation, not because a FIB faggot orders like he's the boss, much like Devin.
