Somebody should provide a name to those Cyberpunk-esque rugpulls.
CDProjektRugpull? Rugpunk? Nah, it'll better to just call them scams. All cinematics, no gameplay. Or worse, in-engine gameplay like Watch Dogs, Rainbow Six, honestly just goobisoft in general. "Product shown does not represent the final product" shit.
It must be miserable to be you
I see this so often, its sad. "You don't like the new shiny thing I like? You must hate everything and are never happy!" I bet he's happy to have $70+ that is not going to be spent on this game while he plays games that are out, are fun, and don't cost $70+ nor take up a large part of his storage drives. I sure am.
Don't care. Fuck Rockstar. I'm not paying $100 for what is just GTAO2. GTAO was shit to begin with and a woke company that allows literal AI slop "remasters" on to the market should not be given a cent. If you buy this game, you are a retard, and a niggerfaggot.
Sure is a lot of NO FUN ALLOWED in here for what's going to be the biggest videogame launch of our lifetimes. Poors are mad.
Duality of man. Also another argument I see often, "if you don't buy this product, you're unhappy and poor." I fail to see the reasoning behind it, especially considering dropping $70+ makes you poorer and if you don't enjoy it will make you unhappy. Best part is that unless it has denuvo shoved it, people can get it for free through methods that makes companies seethe.
Rockstar have been doing these trailers for over 20 years now. Zoomers please.
People have been shitting on games not having gameplay in their trailers for a while now, including R*, it's just drowned out by the pigs feeding from the trough.
I'll most likely buy it anyway just because it is GTA and is an exception to the "don't buy until you see other people play it rule"
Why? I see this often as well, does brand recognition have this much of a pull that people can see the obvious issues, show that they have problems with said issues, and still go:
I'd understand if we saw actual gameplay and it was really good but we've seen nothing but graphics that will most likely be nerfed or turn your computer/console in a furnace.
On PC, 4090 required bare minimum for a stable 30fps+ experience. No poorfags allowed.
Don't forget the AI generated frames.
Man lives and breaths to be a contrarian and I respect the dedication.

I'm not paying any money for any games anymore. Got GTAV around 2020 when they gave it away for free on Epic Games. GTA Online is completely free to play if you own the game, no subscription fee. I had a lot of fun with it.

Looks like a GTA game. I don't know if I have much love for a GTA game if it's just going to be a vehicle for a shitty GTAO cash grab. All that money and R* couldn't throw us one single player expansion.

I don't think it's fair to call GTA Online a cash grab considering it costs literally nothing and is a bonus on top of a full singleplayer game. It gets minimal updates, but there is no subscription fee. Some of the updates are quite nice. All the heists were pretty cool, especially the Casino Heist and the Doomsday Heist, and the general story around Avon. Selling ingame money and GTA+ are things I don't like, but quite honestly, I don't get the mentality of someone, who would even consider spending real money on ingame currency. Money is easy enough to make in the game. At times you can earn a lot through certain activities. There's even passive income. You can literally make a million or two a day just from playing the game however way you want to and looting your safe.

In the beginning I only played adversary mode and all those things they put on the front page. There was a game, I think it was called Mystery Box No.5 or something, where there was one bike, and the objective was to stop on top of it for as long as possible, and other players would ram you with cars or attack you with hatchets. That was the funniest shit I've ever played in any stay. Games like the RPG vs. Insurgents or Snipers vs. Panto. I would make millions just playing these games all day. The Assault on Cayo Perico or Assault on ATT-16 would sometimes give you around 300k$ for a win, when they were featured on the frontpage with double or triple money. I don't think I've ever gotten that much value out of a free game, even with all its flaws.

And as far as an expansion goes, I liked the GTAV story and characters, but I really don't need to revisit any of that. I never felt like I needed any extra things in that regard. And any expansion would've probably just delayed GTA6 by however long it would've taken them to finish that expansion. The expansion is GTA Online. It uses the already existing area to give you more content. Some of it is really good, some of it is kind of ok. The worst thing about GTA Online are some of the systems and the clunky controls. They should fix that for GTA6, although I will probably not play that anyway.

Having played WoW for a long time, a game where you pay for the base game, the current expansion, a subscription cost and then get charged extra for single items, that you can't get any other way and also receive less and less content to the point where they've essentially cut expansions in half by now, while increasing the price, I'm really happy about playing a game like GTA Online, that I can literally play for free.

Never cared for GTA much beyond 2, but this trailer made me realize that white people cannot be properly recreated using computer grafix. Nogs, jeets, beaners all look realistic enough to fool me. Whites all look off. Figures a machine wouldn't be able to properly mimic nature's perfection.

I have little hope for GTA VI.

Rockstar now is made up of two completely disparate teams that want to make diametrically different games.

On the one hand you have the "cinematic experience" cucks that want you to play the game exactly how they want you to, not allowing you to ever go off script - you will sit still and enjoy what the troon writers wrote for you.

On the other hand you have the people that want to make intricate simulators, with all manner of interesting mechanics and details. The ones that want to push boundaries and deliver a true next-gen experience.

What this results in is a game like RDR2 - a cowboy simulator constantly hampered and sabotaged by leftist writing that solely exists to spite the audience.

I see no reason to believe things have changed, and the situation is probably far worse with GTA VI since it is a product that solely exists to entice people to participate in the online portion of the game. The singleplayer is an afterthought and is unlikely to receive any expansions or support post release.

And for people arguing that it's not going to be woke, RDR2 was.

The constant delays are also not a good sign. A company with the resources and manpower of Rockstar should not be encountering these kinds of issues. Not for a second do I buy they're delaying the game to "polish" it, Rockstar never gave a flying fuck about delivering a polished experience, so it's not like they would start now.

Either the project has been completely mismanaged, or they're scrambling to enact massive changes for reasons we all suspect.

I really hope this isn't going to be a "Soft" universal Reboot of the HD GTA Universe.. I'd really like to see some of the old characters make appearances or be referenced, and how they're holding up after almost 20 years.

GTA Online's bullshittery plots have probably put a heavier damper on that, because much easier to sweep it under the rug then be held accountable for the dumb shit you've done over the past 10 years.

And for people arguing that it's not going to be woke, RDR2 was.
RDR2 was completely kneecapped by the dumb as fuck story and how disconnected the cutscenes were from actual gameplay. You'd gun down an entire town full of people just to break a fellow criminal out of jail, but god forbid you were against women's right to vote or did a heckin' racism.

Anyway for my thoughts on it, which aren't "can you believe they put NIGGERS in my crime game?", I have to say it looks pretty promising so far. I've seen people wondering whether or not the delay to 2026 is so Rockstar can remove all of the late twenty-teens and post-2020 cultural nonsense from it, though I doubt it. This thing was so far down the pipeline by the time the culture began to shift [which basically only started happening over the last year and a half or so] that outside of cutting off some dialogue, I don't think that's possible.
From what @Nameless One shown from that rainbow billboard that is obviously meant to be a mockery on LGBTQ+ corporate branding, I'm optimistic that the delay is to dial back on the DEI social pandering so it won't isolate people affected by the cultural shift. As for the surplus of Black people on display, I'm accounting that for basic demographics in Florida. Moreso, I'm acutely aware that because GTA now is meant to be a parody of America culture, how AAs are depicted in GTA VI (from the screenshots, website and trailers), to them it's parody. But in actuality, it's reality.

There's my Occam's razor take on this whole thing. It's a lot better than just sperging about "niggers" constantly.

From what I can tell so far the story seems to be going the following way. Jason is confirmed to have been in the military and there's speculation he's a police officer. There's the prison guard asking him if he has seen him there before, which he says is possible, and since he doesn't look like a criminal thug and he has his life together, is disciplined, being a military man and working out regularly, it's more likely he's worked there as a guard or something. It just doesn't sit well with me, that an ex-military man would be deep into organized crime and an ex-convict. Especially since he comes across as a guy, that is nice and respectful to people. I haven't seen him act like a thug or anything.

He also doesn't seem to be in a relationship with Lucia right from the beginning. The scene where she leaves prison and he's there to meet her, they don't run into each other's arms. It's almost kinda awkward. Like they meet each other for the first time. They'd be hugging and showering each other with affection, had they already been in a relationship before then, and were finally reunited after I don't know how long. Unless I missed something, that's the feeling I get.

So if I had to take a guess, I'd say that Lucia is more of the main character here and Jason is more of a secondary character. And that Jason leads a good, organized life, being a law-abiding citizen. He meets Lucia as part of his job. Maybe he's a parole officer or something. She does have an ankle bracelet. I don't know much about these kinda things, and maybe something like that has already been confirmed, I only watched the trailers a couple of times.

When she gets out of prison he just falls head over heels in love with her, and even though he leads a good life, the relationship drags him into the crime world, at which point it turns into that Bonnie and Clyde story. The ending might involve Jason deciding whether he wants to continue with this relationship or return to his former life. It sounds absolutely stupid to me, that someone, who has been in the military would all of a sudden risk death and imprisonment for a woman, just cause she has a nice, round, big butt, but that is the vibe, that I am getting from this.

edit:

Just read the character description on the homepage, and apparently he's doing thug shit for some drug boss. And Lucia is made out to be a saint. Like she only landed herself in jail cause she was "fighting for her family". Maybe Jason working for this drug boss is part of his undercover cop job or something, because there are definitely hints he's a cop or a prison guard. And Lucia helping her family and then getting involved with crime might be explained by some problem, that can only be solved with money, so she goes into the criminal world to gather money so she can support her family in whatever way they deemed makes sense. Maybe her mother has cancer or needs an organ transplant or something, and they need the money for that.

Seems like they'll be bringing back some aspects about San Andreas which some people liked and others hated, such as the "CJ is now fat from eating fried chicken, go to the gym unless you want him to be a slow lardass" feature.
Wait I can play an obese latina??? Okay I take back everything bad I ever said. GOTY.
remember playing San Andreas and thinking it was funny how ludicrous the setting and people were, now GTA6 just looks like a real-life simulator, why would I wanna play a game with crackheads on every corner and woman walking around 90% naked when I can just go outside and see all that?
Because you can murder them. Unironically. I wanna see a zombie doing the nod and beat him to death with a baseball bat while the rest of them can barely even lift their heads to acknowledge something is happening.

In GTA6.

Also in between Rdr 2 and 1 Bill and Javier figured out that a gang with women and negros was lame

What do you mean "soft" reboot? I don't think R* would completely do away of the events that happened from IV and V leading up to VI. If it's about the possible Phil Cassidy segment from trailer 2, I see the concern. The 3D characters are not meant to "cross over" between universes.

This is minor, but I am glad that the art designs for the weapons is moving away from the awful plastic and tacticool designs that GTA V had and instead are doing more realistic designs like GTA 4. That is one good thing I can at least say about it.

Speaking of GTA IV, I would hope it would go into a semi-serious direction that The Ballad of Gay Tony went for its story and characters. It probably won't be as serious as IV given V's proven popularity. And, give a balance between IV's driving and V's driving. Not too heavy where you always oversteer, but not so light where you're just doing flips from every jump.

So now with the pajeets and pakis potentially nuking each other out of existence, would this affect any remaining development?

With potentially no street shitters left to outsource to, would Rockstar be forced to actually do the work (gasp) themselves and actually deliver a solid product?

I kid. We can't have nice things anymore.

Based off of trailers alone I would say its going to be as goofy in tone as V, possibly even more. I've yet to play TBOGT, since I always enjoyed the more down to earth stories with Niko and Johnny the Jew, but it IS in IV so it has to be pretty good.

One thing that I'm weary over is that, for the first time in a long time, maybe even ever, this GTA isn't going to be really influenced by TV. Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Better Call Saul, etc are all long finished and beyond their cultural height. Honestly, TV commercials and shows might not even have much of an appearance in 6 given its decline. blech, I already know going into this its going to be very phone heavy.

If GTA 6 does take inspiration from media outside of Bonnie & Clyde, I would guess it would be from shows like Power or Atlanta. You know, those Black-centric crime drama shows.
