I'm getting cyberpunk deja vu...

I'm glad this is a disaster because I'm genuinely fucking tired of game companies double/triple/quadruple dipping with "Remasters". It's especially egregious in this case because every major console except the Switch (as far as I know) already had perfectly playable versions of all these games.

Again, the versions on modern consoles are the shit mobile ports this game this is based on.

Since then the best option was either original hardware, PC with mods, or emulation.

nigger, someone has to take that bullet.
i'm glad that he's experiencing this shit first hand so i or anyone else won't have to.

Nobody has to experience, though. There will be plenty of videos of Rockstar consoomers playing it to gauge an opinion, so if it's a bad experience why waste your time, especially to 100% it?

Ok I’ll admit it. I was seriously considering getting this on the switch. Stupid senseless changes and soulless corporate shilling aside, I’m out of my house a lot and the thought of having GTA everywhere I go was very compelling. But I held myself to the limits I set for all switch games I actually buy: it has to run well. Most of my switch library is either proprietary IPs (Breath of the Wild) or semi-decent ports that play well (Doom, Quake, that awesome shmup Jets n Guns, etc). I’m not pulling my hair out because I’m playing a switch downgrade at 480p and 20 fps like fucking Witcher 3.

Imagine my disappointment when the switch release of GTA turned out to be exactly that. Shame, I was really looking forward to some SA during my breaks…

EDIT: Wow turns out I bought the iOS version of all 3 GTA games 10 years ago. And they run fine! Granted I have to deal with touch controls and a 30 fps cap, but it runs great and the resolution is nice and high. Definitely not wasting money on the remaster now.
Yeah, you'd be better off getting the mobile ports if you want that handheld experience. At a fraction of the cost.
Man, why are you even playing this abomination?
Game Pass. No financial investment from me for this half baked product.

Achievements.

There's the OG Loc mission early on in the game with dancing. Apparently, you don't need "Perfect" per se, just get a high score of 2500. I'm sure I could abuse the checkpoint system. Worse case scenario, I'll have to find a club.
They made the game a lot easier. For example the rings from the flying school missions are huge now.

Apparently they leaked some of the source code from SA. Also the game got semi-cracked as soon as it got released due to the DRM being poorly implemented. In VC you can reach the mission "The Chase" before it starts crashing. Dont know the state of the crack for the other 2. Which may explain why they pulled it out.

This is why I say I'm old. I'll never understand the obsession with a number next to your name. But if it's worth it for you then I guess have fun?
Well, i finished Skyrim Special Edition doing all the Achievements in two simultaneus playthroughs. I even finished the Legendary Edition with all the Achievements. But yeah, they're worthless more than showing up in your profile how special you are.

Reactions: The Last Stand
I assume they removed the riot cheat because it can break your playthrough if you save with it enabled, which people have done since time immemorial.
Since it changed all ped behavior, certain missions become unbeatable and certain things will never trigger.
Most notable example is at the end of Burning Desire, where Denise will never go inside her house at the end of the mission, and instead join the rioting. Problem is that the camera will not yield control back to the player until Denise is inside, and the cheat makes that virtually impossible. Thus, soft-lock.

Once you've saved the game with this cheat enabled, there is no way to disable it except by beating the main story and having the ped behavior overwritten.
It seems like GSG would rather people get mad about less cheats than have R* PR grill them about why tards are @'ing them on twitter and on their website about how their game doesn't work anymore because they can't read the huge warning that tells you NOT to save a game with cheats enabled.
You think they appropriate fix would be to do the exact same thing they did in GTA:IV where saving and autosaving were straight up turned off after activating any cheat.

Damn, Ozzy must be hurting for money if he took both Bark at the Moon and Hellraiser away.
Even chief assholes Motley Crue are still around.

My question is, why can't R* license other tracks? There's a lot of 80's bands that would probably take a cheap payday and possibly garner a small boost in spotify hits.
I don't think they even bothered to relicense stuff, actually. I mean how did you lose ABC.
