I still believe that all three V protagonists are shallow as hell with character development. Lamar has more character than Franklin and he's just a supporting character.
Michael was okay, he is the only one with any kind of real discernible direction and the concept of picking up a GTA protag that already 'won' is neat, it's no surprise he was the first guy they came up with and honestly they should have made him a little less of a tard and a little more Tony Soprano, you'd have had a really good lead for the game.

Trevor as le heccin cuhrayzee cannibal murder rapist (but not racist!) Could have been fun but winds up wearing thin very fast.

Another great reminder that Dwayne Forge missions in GTA IV were the best. This one in particular was fun:

The music lover in me would have been best friends with this ass man in the last decade if he were a real person.

I still like 3 the best because the satire, while always present, is more cynical than wacky. Vice fucked the meter from Kent Paul onward.

There's also a lot to be said for a silent protagonist, Fido may as well have been Jason Vorhees, just following his whims.
Asuka was one of the best bosses in the series, and she got done dirty. (In definitive she appears to have downs syndrome)

The PSP protagonists were weirdly emasculated, barely men. I particularly disliked playing as Vic because things just constantly happen to him, he's a fucking victim.

I honestly find both games to be great because of the satire. The retconning of Kent Paul in VC didn't bother me that much

Rockstar has a line they wont cross against le heckin' brown bodies. Trevor is a character that can kidnap completely innocent people off the streets and deliver them off to a cannibal cult for cash while laughing about it, but when a mexican lectures him to "do better" for no compensation at all, he runs off to kill evil whitey no hesitation. You cant even kill the mexican after the cutscene ends iirc

Its like how RDR2 portrays Arthur as this scary, evil outlaw with a sordid past, then prevents you from doing anything outside of the "acceptable" moral line

Now that I think of it, there's three interactive cults in V. Michael for the Eplision Program, Trevor for the Altruist Cult and Franklin for the Children of the Mountain.

Bonus point for having Josef being a Russian that's in America because of an illegitimate marriage.

I'm pretty sure Trevor would kill almost anybody.

Remember that Trevor went on two rampages involving two minority gangs because they dared insult his Canadian heritage and call him a motherfucker.

Nobody really gives a shit about Gamescom, huh? Apparently random GTA VI guy bum rushed the stage to ask where it was. Mors Mutual isn't just giving me GTA news now but regular gaming news since I didn't see this anywhere...

With him mentioning Bill Clinton, I have to wonder if Geoff is afraid of this becoming a common thing with him now.

Didn't this happen before?

Oops, meant to say Vice City Stories

Although I do recall Tony being whiney in LCS still. Might have just been the voice actor though it's been forever since I played it.
Well yeah, Victor Vance is beta-test Niko Bellic. Hell, their stories, journey, and outcomes are very similar.

Tony's whiney but has more legitimate gripes IMO. While Vic and Niko whine about self-inflicted wounds and how the people around them keep fucking them over they sure don't do anything to keep a distance from them, whereas Tony's gripes are about his boss being a narcissist retard who's pride causes Tony to pay the price for it and ends up screwed out of a couple million for his troubles. You swear fealty and prove it and all you get is a "good boy" for it? Tony's not my favorite by any means (Vic is) but he got screwed the worst after Tommy and Claude.

Tbf I'd be bitching about my life too if my brother was Lance
Maybe, but he was a far better laugh than Roman was.
