Depends on the games. What we mostly get are the f2p slop, while the more passionate projects, like Chinese cRPGs, usually don't get a worldwide release as the dev teams don't have the money to fund a translation, or don't believe their games would do well-enough overseas to justify investing resources into localization.and most Chinese games seem to turn out badly
The cRPG scene used to be even more active/ambitious, both in China and Korea, whose RPG output is more similar to Western counterparts (choices and consequences, skill checks, either RTwP or turn-based on a grid) than jRPGs, but widespread adoption of the internet and the heralding of f2p and GaaS gutted the market.
