Reminds me a lot of the Crackdown series, too. The part where he was running along the beam at the construction site and knocks down the pipes on the crane is like Watch Dogs or Assassins' Creed.
Depends on the games. What we mostly get are the f2p slop, while the more passionate projects, like Chinese cRPGs, usually don't get a worldwide release as the dev teams don't have the money to fund a translation, or don't believe their games would do well-enough overseas to justify investing resources into localization.

I feel Take Two intentionally pushed deadlines for GTA 6 to milk GTA Online as long as possible. I believe @Bog-standard Poster's claims that GTA 6 could collapse the gaming industry. If they'd delay GTA 6 from a planned release day, that's a lot of other games that would be further pushed back to avoid that gigantic launch. Therefore, lost revenue. If enough people don't buy GTA 6, that would further tank R*/T2 from their development costs. We all know no matter what R*/T2 does, people will buy GTA 6 in droves.
