Only God's Favourite Idiot has had the luck, and that's all it is pure luck, to make it this far and in the end he will suffer for it much more then had he let it just lie and slunk off into the shadows like he should of.
Considering that this case is already being referenced in other prominent cases before it's even settled, I think this judge was really hoping for a final, precedent-setting ruling that would forevermore be attached to his name and continue long after his death as his legacy to Legal History.

I don't think this judge wanted to let this case go behind a technicality. That's isn't An Historical Win, that's an (increasingly) embarrassing fumble. I'm interested to see how long the judge and magistrate will go on tap-dancing around the inevitable dismissal.

I am convinced that the only reason why Greer v. Moon is being cited by both sides as supporting their argument is that both of them are using AI to do case research, and the AI thinks it is an important case because we have over a thousand pages of posts discussing it, whereas most other copyright cases usually get 2-3 blog posts.

Tena Campbell, the only competent judge out of five judges to look at this case, is a woman.

The magistrate judge (who Campbell took the case back from to dismiss it and is the magistrate for Barlow) is the only idiot judge who has been in this case for five years without figuring it out.

Or the appellate decision was so retarded, it contradicts itself in ways that lets both sides cite it.

This is a disturbing thought.

It would be fun if it got even more eyeballs on what a frivolous, litigious, and crazy ass Greer is.
I want to see legal eagle try to agree with the appellate decision.

t'll be silly if it becomes a trending topic enough for people to start looking into its citations.
It would finally give Greer the widespread attention he has so long believed is his right and that he so richly deserves. I hope his beloved 10th Circuit ruling causes a global Streisand effect of interest in our Magical Star Buddy Boy.
'Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!'

20-cv-00647 is the CWC of civil law.
This is a lolcow thread, and it's my favorite one.

Russell, you have the chance to do the funniest thing today and file something declaring your independence from paying Josh. You've already pissed on the judge and called it rain; what's the harm of doing it again?
Russ can't file shit by himself, he emails things to the court clerk who puts them in the system. So as funny as it would be, if he did it we wouldn't see it till Monday at the earliest.

I hold on to a petty and very :optimistic: fantasy that if Sony-Cox gets big enough, these chuckle-fuck judges will start getting snide comments at their fancy social cocktails-and-dinner events. "OH, BARLOW, it's SO good to see you! Are you still letting that drolling homunculas whipe his ass with the court's legal orders?" "Rossman, come chat with us, we were all just talking about how the 10th circuits ruling in the Greer v. Moon case has caused so much extra work for us!"

One would think he'd use it to his advantage and release that sure-to-be chart topping song.

Imagining the Supreme Court clerks having to read that case and learn about Greer and his brothel fantasies cracks me up.

i don't know what I want more, twelve pages of Thomas bitching about the judiciary about it, or twelve pages from Kanji or whatever her name is praising it as the best decision ever
