Actually this car is in the movie. He just gave it a backstory.

Man, I hate to say this but that cómic was actually well done (besides the content). He paces it well and draws it well. Talent....wasted....(:_(
The art isn't terrible, but the panels are horribly placed and it's hard to follow. Also, it's about a car he desperately wants to fuck.

Oh, boy. I just woke up and... what a way to start a day.

that reminds me of this weird thing:

I think I'm going back to bed.

All I can think of are those bad Mad TV sketches with Tank and his Daewoo.

edit: but instead of trying to pick up chick's he is just sperging about his car

It's understandable to love your first car, even to hold on to it. Mine was a first gen RX-7 that I still have. But to be in love with one? Really? And a Hyundai at that? Really shooting for the stars, ain't he.

How I imagine making love to a car works...

Worst part about it is that he isn't doing that to some American pick up, that's a Range Rover. That kinda annoys me, being a major Land Rover fan.

My car looks like this:

and I have never looked at it and seen this:

but I think I can understand how one could, if only a little bit... I think that part of the cause is probably that the headlights and radiator grille look like eyes and a mouth and humans are instinctually programmed to recognize "faces" in things, so more or less it all starts with someone looking at their car and seeing this:

I always found that amusing, and I guess I always sort of figured that there would be people out there who would find it arousing. Never change, Internet... *sigh*

I'm getting a car soon, and I was leaning towards a Honda or a Hyundai. I guess if this guy REALLY like Hyundai, there might be something to it.
They're both cheap econoboxes, really...I've owned both a Honda Civic and a Hyundai Accent at one time or another and they're both about the same. I liked the Civic a little better because it's manual transmission was more my style (the Accents was too stiff, I like my gears loose AUGH YEAH) but you can't really go wrong with either one.

On topic, I wonder how planephiliacs feel about helicopters...

So going to a rent-a-car place is kind of like visiting a brothel for these guys?

But yeah, seriously, I'd be really interested to know the psychology of this sort of thing. I understand anthropomorphising vehicles (for example, I'm a steam train nut myself, and those things have traits strongly resembling living beings). But I just don't get how that translates into a paraphilia. Is it like bestiality, but taken a step further? What is considered "sexy" in a car?

I don't know, I suppose it's fairly harmless to everyone except the mechanic who has to fix the exhaust.

Just a speculation based on what I see on his YT channel... Dude is a sheltered manchild, nerdy to the bone, minimum contact with the outside world. I think he's alone to the point when he started treating objects as actual beings. Something little kids do when they play with imaginary friends. But, this is a grown man, he obviously has his needs and hormones goin'. Getting a car was probably a big step for him, so big he turned it into relationship. And since carbanging/living machines is nothing new (furries with machines instead of animals) he decided to jump right in and keep it that way. He's clearly messed up, and fucking a car is much or less a manifestation of his issues.
