looks like a really good game hindered by vr bullshit
Having to mannualy look for bullets and reload your gun looks like it would be extremly irratiating in moment to moment gameplay especcialy at a hard part with lots of enemies and the fact of having to play with a shitty hevvy tv straped to your head
Just a quick note here, the Citadel interior already appears to have been built (given that, according to the site: this takes place a little while after the Seven Hour War), with the core that you blow up at the end of Half-Life 2 already active, so it might be possible that they're just constructing the outside shell. Of course I could be completely off-base, but food for thought.
- It seems the Combine are constructing the Citadel from scratch now, which means Valve has retconned their early versions of the lore from HL: Raising the Bar, where Citadels teleported out of nowhere on day 1 of their invasion
Counter strike is apparently getting unique character skins and LORE, but I think TF2 will be laid to rest and they'll put out a Team Fortress 3.What will Valve work on next? Actually updating their other games? Another attempt to copy mainstream games, maybe with an autochess?
I really hope this is where all the Valve staff have been, TF2 could use some love.
Game looks alright but as others have said not worth investing in the VR yet. There will be a time when the hardware costs less and we hit a critical mass of VR games when things like this will be more hype, but it is not this day.
Let me know when that "I told you so" boner goes down.Lick my balls @BananaSplit
Games with economies like CSGO and TF2 aren't going to get a next installment unless they allow you to transfer your items to the next game. There's nothing they could add for Team Fortress 3 that isn't already in TF2, so I seriously doubt that they would make it. Microtransaction market is still too big to cut TF2.Counter strike is apparently getting unique character skins and LORE, but I think TF2 will be laid to rest and they'll put out a Team Fortress 3.
"lick my balls" is the worst thing you could think off? is this baby's first insult?Okay sorry. It was in the heat of the moment, I said the worst thing I could have possibly said, I made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement, blah blah blah.
Yeah I was just joking, sorryI can't tell if OP is trying to be a parody of the soyboy consoomer meme or not.

Reloading in a normal shooter is just a pain because it’s an arbitrary, unnatural mechanic that’s only there for the sake of “”realism””. However, if the game is designed with “hard reloading” in mind, and other mechanics/design choices complement a slower-paced shooter, then it can work well. I’m tentatively looking forward to seeing how this does, even though I have no intention of buying it at launch.I don't disagree that it may make the game more difficult or even annoying. I'm an autist who loved the idea of manually reloading, though, and it always bothered me that if you had a magazine with 2 bullets left and 12 in reserve that when you threw the mag away, you reload and still have 14 bullets in total. It's why I enjoyed Fistful of Frags. I like the idea of it, and always loved reload animations for some godforsaken reason. I like the idea, but if they have no way to store it on your person like a pouch or some shit, I'll riot.
Some big box electronics stores that stock them might let you try them out, otherwise you could either pester an IRL friend that has a headset already or see if you have a VR arcade nearby and either pay for time or see if you can work something out with them.Is there any way to demo VR before buying all the shit? I get the feeling that VR just doesn't work for me and/or it brings excruciating headaches when attempted.
I watched Avatar in the theater and it just gave me a headache.
I played a 3DS at a kiosk with the 3D turned all the way up and it made me dizzy.
