I really have more to do with my life than watch children's cartoons bro.

why is this the tara strong dicksucking/shit fest thread now
Because Tara Strong was one of the many things that ruined Harley Quinn and we all know it.
Ignore all the h8ters. I for one am very happy that Tara Strong exists. If a shitty voice actress like Tara never voiced Harley, then Kaley Cuoco would by default be the worst voice actress to voice Harley, and she isn't *that* bad. I feel like I’m missing something here...
I do find it funny that Harley’s plan to finally start taking responsibility and fix things involved recreating the Joker as Step 1.
eh, shitty portrayals will never ruin a character for me. jared leto didn't ruin the joker, after all.
Oh no, I got that part. The “missing something” I was referring to was the random fight about Tara Strong in the thread.I think you might be. She discovered that Joker (but not his current personality) knows where Queen of Fable's storybook is. And therefore where the Justice League are trapped. That's why she's forced to bring back Joker. It was in the dialogue she said at some point.
How could he? The Joker... is an idea.

Oh yeah, I don't care about the slap-fight about their favourite voice actresses. I kind of like Tara Strong's voices and I like Haley Cucco's in this. Both good with me. Whoever did the old B:TaS was the definitive version, imo, though.

Agreed.I wonder what Arleen thinks about how the character is written now. B:TAS-Harley had a lot of her personality and mannerisms. The Harley they write now acts completely different.
Yeah, it’s sad about the whole Ivy/Kiteman/Harley thing, because I actually like the twist they went with involving the Joker in this one.Well tonight's episode wasn't a bad episode. We got at least a little bit of Kiteman and Ivy - I liked how he recognizes the wedding dress is cream and she can't distinguish it from white. But rather than complementing each other the writers seem to be using little things like this to show that they're not suited to each other and Harley is her one true love.
Frankly, it pisses me off. There's been no reason to not see Kiteman and Ivy as working out up until these last couple of episodes, other than Kiteman being outwardly a dork and it's supposed to be a positive message when someone looks past what their friends think about someone to who they truly are. If they'd played it as Ivy never really having had someone care about her and Kiteman taking advantage of that, you'd have a route for her to ditch him for Harley without the viewer reacting negatively. But they didn't. And Ivy has consistently been the mature and perceptive one of the group up until now so spinning it as her being naive doesn't really cut it.
In pretty much every sense Kiteman is the better partner. Harley took advantage of Ivy repeatedly, disregarded her advice and her needs. Kiteman was supportive, affectionate, there's been hints that the physical side of things is pretty satisfying (and if a real-world person had a body like Kiteman's, they'd be adored by women). I sound like a broken record but I can't believe they're doing this. Ivy is probably the most sympathetic character on the show and Harley practically the most selfish, barring the odd side-character like Two-Face. Hell, even Joker is calling her out on it! Ivy deserves a lot better.
I did not get that vibe from the last episode. Ivy and Kiteman’s interactions have gone along the same route. Ivy is very straightforward and stressed while Kiteman is relaxed and dorky.Well tonight's episode wasn't a bad episode. It seems they are going down the Harley/Ivy routeI did not get that vibe from the last episode. Ivy and Kiteman’s interactions have gone along the same route. Ivy is very straightforward and stressed while Kiteman is relaxed and dorky.
It’s a toss up on whether Ivy will go through with the wedding or not. I think it will depend on how she’s going to break from Dr. Pyscho’s mind control. She’s driven to kill Harley but not Kiteman. Maybe Kiteman will put himself in front of Harley which will force Ivy to snap out of the mind control. Or Harley will kiss Ivy in front of everyone and that will break the mind control.
Either way, I’d like the writers to explore the potential of a suburbanite dad Joker. The comedy might wear thin after a while, but the concept of Joker trying to be a normal person is too hilarious to not be wasted.
Yeah, but it’s okay in this case because it’s a woman going after another woman and not a man.I really dont like where the Ivy and Harley thing is going. One of the most toxic things you can do is being unable to accept the other person's feeling, trying to push yourself to hard on someone is the best way to lose that person forever and to hurt them. Its a very unhealthy message to put out there.
