Has Chris lost the ability to know right from wrong?

He knows right from wrong, he just doesn't care as long as it benefits him. It was wrong to draw She came for CWC's picture, but he didn't care because if he didn't do it he would rape Megan; running over that kike, it was okay because he was expelled from the Game Stop; raping his mom, that was swell because he finished his love quest. He understands the consequences of his actions, he prefers to ignore them.
 
If Chris didn’t know right from wrong, he wouldn’t have lied about fucking his mom. He knew exactly what he was doing in the moment, and then tried to retroactively absolve himself by claiming he was healing her.

I would argue he was sad because he couldn't have them, not that he felt empathy for the dog dying.
 
He is completely impulse driven. He understands that society has a bad reaction to things, but he doesn't understand or care why it's wrong. He tries to avoid the negative reactions, but ultimately doesn't care if he thinks he can get away with it.

Just like a dog getting scolded when it pisses on the carpet. It doesn't know right from wrong either.
 
I think Chris had problems before courtesy of Barb being insane. I think they got infinitely worse following his encounter with Joshua Wise.

A lot of this is reflected in CWCville, Chris' happy place he's always retreated to when shit gets bad. CWCville was damaged at the end of the final "good" saga, the one with Simonla, but it still existed in Chris' heart, and that was what was important. His happy place was fucking obliterated by the Idea Guys. They tortured his characters, and turned the city into a living hell filled with constant death and destruction with forced labor rape and death camps. There's not much more to say there.
 
I think that Chris's id is so overpowered and he has so little self control that he just immediately does whatever he impulsively wants in that moment with no regard for others. The paranoia of potentially encountering trolls causing him to self isolate and the idea guys making him believe himself to be a literal god didn't help.

Either that or it's like how really young kids fail the Sally Anne test because they don't realize other people have different thoughts to their own.

It is hard to tell. His decision making skills have taken a nose dive. Anyone who believes in alternative dimensions where cartoon characters roam free probably doesn't have a grasp on reality. I think his mental health plummeted. Maybe his mental illinesses are getting worse with age. However I believe this has been building since 2015 or 2016.
 
i think chris should be tested for narcissism because at the end of the day, if he wasnt a massive retard he would be a very successful guy, if he put that effort into business he would be one of the top dogs. instead his autism fried his brain and turned it to gunk. we know he's business minded as well, he has some interest in it and the medallion shit could have been something for him. he's practically turned his life into a business. so i think chris is a genuine narcissist. he places himself and what he believes to be right above all else and it went to the extreme of raping his own mum.
 
Before we knew Chris lied directly to Null about the "Girlfriend" I'd be likely to say that Chris didn't know right from wrong.

However, the fact that he DID lie about it shows that he knew that telling Null was a bad idea. He knew that saying that he fucked his mom was a big no-no, but he couldn't help himself from boasting about getting laid.
 
It was known many years ago that Chris used to do return fraud with videogames (like, buying a special edition for some game he already had, using the included DLC codes and then returning the game, or buying discounted games and returning them to another shop where they were full-priced (claiming they were a gift) and pocketing the difference). While this kind of thing is petty and quite unimportant per se, when confronted about it, he seemed to genuinely not understand how that was at the very least dishonest, to him it was just "wheeling and dealing". Again, this return fraud, while assholish, it's not that big of a deal, but not even understanding it was a bad thing really shows a fucked up moral compass.

In other cases I think Chris uses some kind of backwards logic: he wants to do something he suspects is not ok to do, so he decides he's going to do it and then goes "Ok, now let's think how I'm actually be the good guy here somehow".

If he wasn't autistic, he'd still be a goddamn moron. At most, he would have some dead-end job somewhere and a stable but unremarkable life. Every "business" he made was after incessant prodding by white knights and trolls, he has the business initiate of a turd drying under the sun.
 
Chris isnt just autistic, he is mentally impaired in multiple ways. While he appears to be a semi functional adult in some areas (he can drive) in others he is literally 2-5 years old. CWCville is similar in construct to a 3 year old with an imaginary friend. He is a raging 15 year old in regards to sex. Combine his mental handicaps with poor parenting (raised by the internet) and no intervention and you get the monster we see before us today.

Yeah, the girlfriend messages are damning. I think that his sense of reality is impaired (uh, obv), but he has enough sense of right vs wrong to cater how he talked about the Barb situation to his specific audiences.

He knew that he had to make up the girlfriend story with Null, but with others, who may have indicated to him (or did indicate to him) that they were into it, he knew that it was okay to talk about it. It's not even just about it being fed to him, he knew specifically that he'd be in trouble if he told Null about it, so he made up a lie (albeit a transparent one, in retrospect).
 
It's one thing to have a regular functional human have bpd, but a high functioning Asperger's with bpd? That's a Molotov cocktail of insanity. I bet they never disciplined him.
