So the other day MrBeast released this video where he pays for 1000 blind people to get surgery. There's nothing particularly special about it, its yet another cookie-cutter saccharine piece of trash to make midwits feel good about themselves while watching it. What IS special about it thoughever is Hasan reacting to it on stream:

I'm probably going to get shit for saying this but Mr. Beast never came across that egotistical to me at all. If anything the guy is pretty humble and down to earth for a multimillionaire with the biggest channel on Youtube. He even keeps his hometown friends around and I'm sure pays them all very well. I think the reason people like Hasan go after him is jealousy. He's also a super wealthy straight white man which makes him evil in the eyes of fake socialist like him. I think what he's doing is a net positive to the world.

Eh, Hasan is right that its bullshit that rich people like YouTube grifters can exploit charity and societal issues for their personal benefit. But then again, what is Hasan doing with his $200k+ a month gains? Nothing stopping him from giving a small portion of that money to charity or lefty causes, give a token statement about it and leave it at that.
My logic exactly. Mr. Beast is kind of scummy for using charity for views, but at least he is giving some of his money back in meaningful ways (AKA not giving all of it to some corrupt charity organization, which is all charity organizations) and doing something beneficial for his fanbase/society (sometimes).
Hasan is just a selfish piece of shit who has given exactly dick all back and has the gall to still be pissed when people don't lick his taint over it.

I have Keratoconus in both my eyes, while early stages can be corrected with glasses my left eye is way past that point and my right is working its way there. I had to wait a year from the moment my optometrist spotted it to get my eyes scanned at a hospital, then 3 months after that for another check up, then another 3 months given my options of ignoring it or be fitted for contacts, then by this point both my eyes have progressed worse so the contacts I got did not correct my vision and I cant wear contacts anyway because it fucks my sinus too badly. so after a couple more checkups and different set of contacts they finally say my eyes are fucked to the point I can a cornea transplant on my left eye and they will consider it for my right if it gets more fucked up.
I had the choice to pay 5k on private to get it done or be put on a list of fuck it we'll get back to you whenever and get it done by public healthcare.
So now I am almost a year on a wait list for a transplant ontop of the other running around prior and the only reason its got considered is because my eye is so fucked that contacts wont really work out for it. If my eyes were "Just good enough" Id not be even considered for sugery, its just mine are so fucked I can get it for free.
I am in one of the Smaller states of Australia and cannot fucking imagine this form of healthcare working at all in America.
But simple 10 minute procedure btw.
