I've only read one full issue of Sonichu (the one where Chris "cures" homosexuality by poisoning the water supply) and a couple of random pages. I've tried to read more, but the instant I see that wall of text my eyes glaze over.

Sadly, I've read all of it. There's a reason I'm like I am today.

It's more subtle with me. I kind of enjoy trying to connect what he's depicting with an incident in his real life, considering the difference between the two, and I'm also amused by the weird, wordy disclaimers and tangents he goes off on in excruciating, pointless detail.

My eyes start getting blurry during the fight scenes, since there's zero tension because Chris/Sonichu always win or are being set up for a boring cliffhanger, after while they'll win with laughably little effort anyway. Or they'll win by using a new, previously undisclosed superpower. It's not terribly interesting watching Chris dramatize something that 5 year olds learn not to do when playing.

I've read most of it and I have to say it makes for a fascinating case study into CWC's psyche.

I'll admit I've -tried- reading it, but mostly just always end up flipping through the damn thing.

The sub-episodes, while apparently based on some kind of reality, are far more surreal (and horrifying) than the crap about electric hedgehog pokemon. I can't get through most of the main series issues without getting bored/confused/frustrated. #8 is the only one I've read several times, and I consider it CWC's magnum opus.

#8 huh? I've always liked #7 the best. There's this weird chaos to it when Chris the Narrator is trying to tell, you know, the story, yet the Chris the Character is providing this running narrative in practically every panel about how badly he wants to fuck Megan. It reminds me of an avant garde theater play where there's a like four scenes going on simultaneously.

Chris the Narrator draws a couple of his retarded hedgehogs going off to fuck...

... which tortures Chris the Character with the knowledge that his fake buddies are getting more action than he is.

You know that his whining about Megan is basically a transcript of his real thoughts when around her, yet he's engaged in this wish fulfillment comic which never fulfills that wish. And to top it off everyone around him is shagging like free love hippie children and Chris's great moment is asking What's da update? He's even sabotaging himself in his own comic.

You need to read a couple pages to get high off this shit but it's amazing.

I tried to read it myself, but I got alot more joy out of watching these two guys do a "let's read" of every issue on YouTube.

I listened to the audiobooks paired with Vivian's annotations multiple times... Vivian's comments just make the whole thing worth it for me.

I can only listen to the audio books, but when yugio references show up, that's when it becomes unbearable.

I just don't like how it's a complete self-insert. He drags in even people that he despises of in real-life into the series, and the characters themselves that aren't based off of anyone from reality are still unoriginal. I appreciate Chris' effort, though. It likely takes him a really long time to draw out all of those panels, insert text, etc. Although, that does not excuse it for being an overall bad webcomic.

Yeah, Sammy, that is basically what Chris wanted. Sonichu is a place where he can have his fantasyland and make everything about him good and everything about people and things in real life that annoys him bad.

But, well, c'mon, effort? He tends to draw either an issue or a panel (not such which) in one hour and it honestly looks like shit. He could have improved the art in million ways, but he is overwhelmingy lazy.

Yeah, "effort" is not something that can be used to describe Chris' art. He takes so long to shit what he does out, and when he doesn't do it when he said he was going to, he claims to need more time and *~inspiration~*
