what a bloated episode, so much fat for just one gram of substance.
first Moxxie wanted to do the perfect job but decided to go with a disguise plan instead of his specialty: firearms, the only weapon he has is a knife. WTF
He should have brought the sniper he has, the mission would be over in the first few seconds and I know it was for a joke, but that and establishing that they spent days undercover knowing who the target was and couldn't finish the job is contrive as fuck just to force the conflict between M&M and aligning with the Blitz plot.
I'm sorry but what was this conflict? Moxxie wanted to finish the job perfectly, ends up immediately dismissing the solution and losing focus to get the attention of children in the middle of the job, gets jealous when Millie does what he wanted to do and gets angry when she doesn't focus on the job when he is the incompetent one for not finishing the job with days knowing who and where the culprit is, he doesn't need Millie for that. Also why is Milli more talented in music than Moxxie? again joke i know, but one of the few established things are the talents of each one and they are discarded just to continue this plot.
Millie outbrust is bullshit, "it matters how I feel about myself" this came out of nowhere when was she established with confidence issues? "and for once I feel important" seriously? Moxxie sang you a love song in a place that was hostile to affection in front of the Prince of Lust and you didn't feel important at that moment or any other moment in that relationship? it sounded so manipulative when she said that even though Moxxie was also an ass in this episode. Is this to establish that their happiness is just a facade? that Moxxie resents her wife's success and Millie is willing to discard her husband's support to validate her decisions? this also comes out of nowhere.
and struggles with self-worth is already repetitive, Moxxie, Blitz, Stolas, Octavia and even Loona present this conflict with more established information, Millie seems more last minute decision "we need conflict but she has nothing, just copy and paste something"
and Barbie's situation moved too quickly with only the last line being important, she and Blitz only talked because of the coincidental contrived conflict of being involved with M&M's work that forced her to stay and fight, but what did we learn was that she doesn't want Blitz in her life, which was already established in the beginning and implied by the series previously, we don't even know what happened between them, just that it was Blitz's fault maybe, there are no details.
positives: finally an episode of I.M.P's work that ideally would be interesting to see how they interfere and conflict with other works of demons in the Human World
